- Debra Hunter went viral last year when a video of her coughing on another woman circulated online. Heather Sprague, a cancer patient, was shopping in Jacksonville, Florida, when she saw Hunter in a heated exchange with an employee. After 15 minutes, Heather began filming the incident, which angered Debra, who then walked up and coughed on Heather. Hunter has been sentenced to 30 days in jail, as well as six months of probation, a $500 fine, and was ordered to take an anger-management class. #InsideEdition

I worked in daycare for over a decade and we don't like it either. Most kids know to "cough into their elbows." LOL, and if they DO get us once in a while, it's by accident.

She threw a fit for over 15 min because the store would not give her credit for an item she was trying to return; only she didn’t have in the store…..she brought a picture instead!!! The very opposite of a return !!!!
It was last summer when masks were not mandated in public in their area in Florida. No one called her out on anything, she was harassing and bullying the staff cursing and yelling throwing a temper tantrum for 15 minutes until customers were leaving. The lady filming never said a word, only kept her distance and filmed while she was wearing a mask at the time because she was a cancer patient and had been dealing with a brain tumor, along with two of her newly adopted children who were also fragile and susceptible to illnesses. This hateful woman not only endangered this innocent woman with cancer, but two young children as well. Also this hateful woman had two of her young children with her witnessing her horrid despicable behavior.

My sister has cancer and figthing every day to live! I am a non-confrontational woman, and a child of God. Had this been done to MY sister or family, you would all be peeling me off that woman! I think the charge should have been more severe, since the China Virus can be fatal. As the daughter of a cancer survivor, this made me madder than hell. (If she had done this to my mom, y'all would be reading about my jail time!) Nobody loves this mask thing, but it's necessary right now. And you have no idea what someone else is going through, so just be nice. It's that easy, Karen, really.

Actually, you probably wouldn't have gotten jail time. Coughing, spitting, posturing, etc., is technically assault. You would just be protecting yourself. Any judge would consider the ACTION which caused your REACTION. Someone doing this in the face of a pandemic clearly meant you harm. It would be self defense.

She feels bad for her children who now have no friends and I feel really bad for them too. Her story about how a new boy in town was willing to make friends with her son and they were best friends playing together every day and making forts until the boy's family found out and then his parents made him join the rest of the kids in shunning the family. That was heartbreaking. But I think she's probably still a dumb Covid denier so we didn't see her really thinking about the victim although she claims she wrote an apology letter to the victim but we never heard it. Her defense lawyer was dumb and not good. That's clear.

So many have weakened immune systems and autoimmune diseases. My dad's aunt died from covid-19. I have a friend who has had 3 high school friends in their late 20's and early 30's with no health problems die in ICU from covid-19. And we have people like her doing things like this. It will come to an end one day.
I'm sorry for all of the losses you've endured. I wish there was a remedy, but it seems like these people will always get away with their actions. 30 days in jail won't mean a thing unless she gets a severe variant of Covid while in there.

Exactly! I believe prosecutors actually were not seeking jail time, but the judge threw it in during the verdict because he noted how not once in her defense did she actually apologize to the victim-- All she did was apologize for how messed up her own life became in the fallout.

She is remorseful ONLY because she was caught. We live in a global village and this type of low life behaviour will always come back and bite the perpetrator in the backside! Hope she enjoys her time in prison.

I agree. Not only did she cough on a cancer patient with a BRAIN TUMUR, which already causes a lot of problems, but the women could have seriously hurt the victims kids, as 4 of them have weak immune systems, as said in the video.
This lady straight up coughed on a saint. Someone who took in children with health issues and is battling a brain tumor herself! You never know what a person is going through, so you should treat everyone well. And especially don't be a dummy and cough on someone during a pandemic. This little 30 day timeout hopefully will teach the lady about being respectful and humble.

If people were to film every anti-masker where I live in AZ, it would flood TH-cam. I'd say like over 50% of people here either don't wear a mask correctly, or don't wear one at all, and because I have primary immune deficiency, it's frustrating and puts my life at risk every time I have to leave the house.
