One of my first memories is my mom playing this song on her guitar. She had a beautiful Epiphone J-200 in Tobacco Sunburst finish she bought new in 1973. She traded an ovation and a car and still paid $2500 cash. Till the day I die, no guitar will ever sound better. We used to play and sing this song a lot together after I learned how to play. Tomorrow (Feb 2) would have been her 68th Birthday. She shuffled off this mortal coil on Feb 8, 2022.

This was my moms favorite song. It’ll be three years that she went to be with the Lord. I miss her everyday. I know this song is usually sung faster but I always preferred the slower version which is how we would sing it in church. You have brought tears of joy to my eyes. Many famous artists have sung this song but they haven’t done it as much justice as you have. I can picture my mother on Sunday morning with tears in her eyes and hands raised high praising our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank You.
