I've already had to say goodbye to several friends. Either Sky became too much of a grind for them, or real life pursuits took priority. To every single Sky friend I've made along the way of my journey, I just want to say thank you. Wherever you all are, I hope you're doing well.

This is beautiful and true. Also, I really, in general, appreciate how hard this video must have been to make. To get the perfect camera work like this is challenging and time-consuming. Nobody else mentioned it. For anyone afraid of suddenly losing friends in game, if you're getting close to someone and they and you are allowed to have social media, try friending somewhere else! That's what most of my friends and I did. Not all of us were able to, but we did our best. And I'm glad we did because most of us are tired of Sky. I'm grateful to the ones that still want to spend time with me outside of Sky.
Sky is the only place i feel free its like my escape i find it hard to make friends somwhere out of the game and now i havent seen my friend in almost a year i havent given up on them i also have another friend that hasn't been online for almost a month i grew really close to them and now..
This was me, I had a friend group of 5 and they were everything to me but one day I stopped coming on every day. It would start with missing a day, then a week. Then I stopped playing altogether, I was in school at the time and I needed to focus on my studies, sadly I wasn't good enough of a friend to leave any of them a message about my departure (mostly because it kinda just happened, it wasn't planned) I left the game for 2 years. I came back recently, all of my old friends have moved on, I wish I could tell them what an impact they made on me. I love each and every one of them. I doubt they'd be able to see it but especially Mina and Teddy, I hope you can forgive me for not contacting you, I absolutely loved going on candle runs and gushing about the new cosmetics with you. I am so sorry for leaving, now I don't believe I can ever see them again. Who knows... Maybe they will suddenly come back like I did, but until then, I haven't found the courage to find more friends. Now I am a solo player.
Same. I used to have 3 very close friends in sky. And I thought building an account in sky wasn't necessary but when I lost all my game data realised I should've made one.. I have so many friends and now in my new account I am a solo player..
To be honest i had a friend two years ago her name is Charlie we used to play together alot you could say we are best friends but of course she got so tired of playing thesame game while still struggling with her studies. I knew that one day she would quit and so she did but before she quit she left a message boat at my favorite place where i always go and even tho i wont be able to see her again she will always be in my heart and memories. I m kinda sad that she left but i m also happy to because she let me know before doing so.

Its a hard pill to swallow I had experienced this before and is truly painful and heartbreaking. And one day i know that i might bid farewell to the friends I made in the game so its understandable that its hard to say goodbye to someone you've been with even if its in the game or in real life. For now lets just hope that they're doing great in life :))

People seem to be really sad about losing their closest sky friends, so I am just suggesting ways to keep in touch with them. You seem to just be ignoring what I'm asking? I'm sorry if any of what I'm saying is rude or invalidating, I am not intending it that way. I'm just asking something out of curiousity and trying to give advice for the future.
I relate to this in a sad way - but I was on both ends. I made a friend on Sky named Brooklyn, and we were best friends. However, when switching to a new device to play Sky, I couldn’t connect to my old account and had to start a new one. Just a couple months ago I was able to connect to it; I lit Brooklyn and waited to see if she came online, but we never managed to be online at the same time. Now, she’s stopped logging on completely. I miss her.
I relate too, on Sky I made a friend who called herself Nana, but her real name meant hope, which suited her. Every night, I would log on and hope she came. We had the best memories together, and soon she became my best friend. She was the only one who would ever care to meet me every day. However some time ago I opened the game to see myself blocked. I cried so much because I never got the chance to tell her goodbye.
I wouldn’t be online for a day or two, days became weeks and week became months and so on. I didn’t play much throughout 2021-2022, right after assembly. Sure, id log in a few times to check out new updates, but it was extremely rare. I started playing again towards the end of the aurora season because of a classmate who plays. I saw my friend constellation and literally no one was online. It didn’t hit me much, people get bored with games Yknow? But then, I looked back at old pictures of my moths days, of the small ‘journals’ I made of the times people were so kind to me (like that time a complete stranger led me through eden) and only then I realized, I had something special… and only then I regretted not cherishing those moments more. I should’ve been appreciative. I’m sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye to everyone. I didn’t know that it would be the last time we met, and I guess that’s what hurts the most. You never know it would be the last time you see someone online. Things happen, life happens and we can’t predict everything. I just wished I was more appreciative of those moments. Moments that now are memories. It’s a beautiful kind of sadness really… I wouldn’t be feeling this sad if I’ve never felt that happy… Now I’ve made plenty of new friends and some of my old friends are returning to play :) I cant say I’ve completely moved on from my past friendships but now I am even more grateful of every second I spend in the game! I know it’s “just a game” but it taught me something: cherish every second you spend with someone. I know making friends is scary sometimes, having to leave them is even scarier. All good things are bound to end and day you’d have to say goodbye. Even if that’s the case, you have to take the pain with the good, you shouldn’t be afraid of making friends because those moments in between is all worth it.

I had an online friend for 6 years who I grew up with and they never liked to share anything about themselves. I never knew their real first name, not even a nickname. We were only two years apart. We became friends mostly because we related to each other because of our problems and backstories. Eventually, we gradually grew apart. It made me upset because she was my first real and best friend and she was forcing me to move on. I'm still grieving and it has left a scar on my heart; It gave me trust issues and I still can't seem to let go. Another issue from my interactions with this ex-friend was that I adapted to o ly being able to uphold one good and true relationship at a time. I can't seem to put any other focus or spend much time with any of my other friends. I hope other people don't experience relationships with people who aren't empathetic enough to uphold the relationship as much as I have. I have gone through a lot these past 2-3 years and I'm still stuck in the past and still experiencing depression since a very young age from the same issues... I still don't have a therapist because of excuses from other people. Please take care of yourself, and may you find healthy and empathetic relationships.
May you always meet with good people and may your inner wounds heal, it might take a long time but I promise everything will be okay. You still have time to meet every people that is going to love you in different kind of ways, I just hope that you meet the best ones.
Sometimes I often think that now I can play with some people I've met. And at some point they might get tired of the same game, and quit and it just makes me sad, not to feel again the excitement of being in company, talking, playing alone again, but it's ok, these thoughts only come for a few minutes and then I react, it's ok, not everything lasts forever. I lost my friend as well. I usually played his favorite song "See you again" This song foreshadowed that he'll be gone soon or later. I mastered it fully before i realized he's not been online for almost a month. after Months of waiting one of his friends reached out to me and said that my Skyfriend Has Passed away Due to Cancer I was Devastated Knowing his friend might be lying until i realized It was all true. he's gone He left Sky and This world without telling anything or leaving a memory but I have one memory that makes me remember him. The time i met him in the Sky Memorial where he sits there somewhere in the starlight dessert even though him and I known each other for a week He remains In my core memories. I felt heartbroken. So I played the same song he always request everyday just to revisit the past. (G.G Is a true friend of mine, and I am grateful to be his friend even for a short time) Rest well, G.G
Usually in goodbyes, the person who says goodbye isnt as much affected as the other person is. Its from my personal experience. People who have said goodbye to me (or who havent and just dissappeared like that) they were never this affected or emotional with it. They just up and went. It was i who was remembering them and crying most of the time. 🙃🙃 And its evident because they said goodbye for a reason, and they have to fulfil that reason in their life. I hated the fact here that the skykid didnt even try to keep contact outside sky before leaving. Spending so much time together, making so many memories, how can you just up and leave like that? I know people will not say anything to them because they have the freedom to do this, but them doing this shows how much they actually cared about the friendship. If they had cared, they would have atleast tried to have contact outside sky before leaving. And leaving messages makes things even worse for the other person. I would say, if u want to leave, just.....leave. Dont give us the pain of remembering you through messages or songs. I hate it a lot. Sorry for ranting, but these are my personal opinions. this is so sad but it is true. This game is known to be a friendly calming game but the amount of ppl we get attached to and when we part ways with them its hurts so bad especially if you only had them to be with. Speaking with my own experiences none of the ppl i was close to stayed with me and none of the people tries to stay with me when we become friends. Im sorry to all the people who lost their close ones

I usually don't comment a lot but this video hit me hard. Amy and I we used to play together every single day. We shared our pain,our happiness. She helped me through a lot and suddenly she became my best friend. After playing for over a year,meeting every single day,she left without a word. She didn't come back. Another friend of mine told me that she was tired of this game and she rather plays another game now. I tried to keep up with Sky but after a while I left. I couldn't do it without her because it hurt so much. I felt like shit because she didn't even tell me. Recently (after two years) I logged in again and now I'm a solo player. It's ok because like this,no one can break my heart again. Wherever she is now,I hope she's ok. I miss her every single day.
That was really painful but try to get friends for fun this time and try to not attached by someone deeply then it will be fine maybe your friend left because of some other reasons or she is not your friend in the first place because leaving like that is rude tho and playing sky without friends is really full of stress until you strat liking the game by your own.
This reminds me of my friend Uvihor, he was my first friend ever when I was a moth, it's been 3 years since I have seen him now. I'm a professional now and it's been a long time and I know I will never be able to light his star again. Right in the hard feels. 💔 I've experienced something like this more than once. Slowly they're going away from the game, understandable though. Especially with what the whole world is going through... At times I choose to be solo and not get too attach, causes I know it will hurt so much, but nonetheless, they left wonderful memories 😭
Made friends with a girl from Spain around the time I began playing Sky. ( I joined a bit before season of Aurora ) she was quite possibly the greatest friend I've ever had. We played alot together for the first couple months of our friendship, but eventually I took a break from the game bc of burn out..I just joined back maybe 3 weeks ago, and I haven't seen her online yet, I hope she's doing alright--❤
Making a new relationship is really hard for me.. because, I know how hurt it is when that other person is gone; pass away or disconnected. I don't want to get married and have kids because I don't want to give heart break to anyone. Plus, the probability to meet a wrong person really scare me. I live my life so far, surrounded with broken family, divorce and etc. All of this make me choose to be alone and be happy with the people that already here with me.. I will keep making friend tho, but, I cannot go 'further'.. I will cherish people who currently with me until at the end of my time on this earth.. that? I can promise.. and I want people who I cherish know that I will be happy with my choice.. don't worry.. 🥰

Gosh you didn't have to make me cry and touched my heart. I kinda quitted months ago, I stopped playing cause of the same thing over and over again and I had other things to do. But after seeing your mini movies and reflecting on the memories I had, I miss it...the close friends I once had all came from there... They are all basically gone now, and the ones that I still have contact with, we aren't close anymore. The memories will forever hold in my heart. I miss the days in the beginning...and it's heard to move on from your past close friends, especially when they are the ones that made the most memories with you. I loved the mini movie, great work!! when i was a moth a vet adopted me, he was pretty sweet and introduced me to his other friends. That time was the best time of my sky life ^^. after few weeks my exam came so i took break from sky, after i came back some people had their own friend group while other left the game. wow, this really made me feel super weird. im usally someone who dosent cry easely like really. this time i wasent just feeling sad about it but also i actually felt sick and my hands were shaking. This is not normal the way it made me feel. But deeply. Very selfish, leaving like that. I decided to take a break to study. But I made sure to hug all, one by one, and tell them that I would take a long time without being online. And after saying goodbye to most face by face, I left a boat for them to make sure I told everyone. Regardless of your circumstances, you do not have the right to make someone love you and then leave him with a memory candle or a boat! I just hope that I haven’t broke anyone like this video 😢 I hope all feel good, my lovely cutie friends :(

Another issue from my interactions with this ex-friend was that I adapted to o ly being able to uphold one good and true relationship at a time. I can't seem to put any other focus or spend much time with any of my other friends. I hope other people don't experience relationships with people who aren't empathetic enough to uphold the relationship as much as I have. I have gone through a lot these past 2-3 years and I'm still stuck in the past and still experiencing depression since a very young age from the same issues... I still don't have a therapist because of excuses from other people. Please take care of yourself, and may you find healthy and empathetic relationships.
May you always meet with good people and may your inner wounds heal, it might take a long time but I promise everything will be okay. You still have time to meet every people that is going to love you in different kind of ways, I just hope that you meet the best ones.

Sometimes I often think that now I can play with some people I've met. And at some point they might get tired of the same game, and quit and it just makes me sad, not to feel again the excitement of being in company, talking, playing alone again, but it's ok, these thoughts only come for a few minutes and then I react, it's ok, not everything lasts forever.

I lost my friend as well. I usually played his favorite song "See you again" This song foreshadowed that he'll be gone soon or later. I mastered it fully before i realized he's not been online for almost a month. after Months of waiting one of his friends reached out to me and said that my Skyfriend Has Passed away Due to Cancer I was Devastated Knowing his friend might be lying until i realized It was all true. he's gone He left Sky and This world without telling anything or leaving a memory but I have one memory that makes me remember him. The time i met him in the Sky Memorial where he sits there somewhere in the starlight dessert even though him and I known each other for a week He remains In my core memories. I felt heartbroken. So I played the same song he always request everyday just to revisit the past.

Usually in goodbyes, the person who says goodbye isnt as much affected as the other person is. Its from my personal experience. People who have said goodbye to me (or who havent and just dissappeared like that) they were never this affected or emotional with it. They just up and went. It was i who was remembering them and crying most of the time. 🙃🙃
And its evident because they said goodbye for a reason, and they have to fulfil that reason in their life. I hated the fact here that the skykid didnt even try to keep contact outside sky before leaving. Spending so much time together, making so many memories, how can you just up and leave like that? I know people will not say anything to them because they have the freedom to do this, but them doing this shows how much they actually cared about the friendship.
If they had cared, they would have atleast tried to have contact outside sky before leaving. And leaving messages makes things even worse for the other person. I would say, if u want to leave, just.....leave. Dont give us the pain of remembering you through messages or songs. I hate it a lot.

This game is known to be a friendly calming game but the amount of ppl we get attached to and when we part ways with them its hurts so bad especially if you only had them to be with. Speaking with my own experiences none of the ppl i was close to stayed with me and none of the people tries to stay with me when we become friends. I usually don't comment a lot but this video hit me hard. Amy and I we used to play together every single day. We shared our pain,our happiness. She helped me through a lot and suddenly she became my best friend. After playing for over a year,meeting every single day,she left without a word. She didn't come back. Another friend of mine told me that she was tired of this game and she rather plays another game now.
I tried to keep up with Sky but after a while I left. I couldn't do it without her because it hurt so much. I felt like shit because she didn't even tell me. Recently (after two years) I logged in again and now I'm a solo player. It's ok because like this,no one can break my heart again. Wherever she is now,I hope she's ok. I miss her every single day.
That was really painful but try to get friends for fun this time and try to not attached by someone deeply then it will be fine maybe your friend left because of some other reasons or she is not your friend in the first place because leaving like that is rude tho and playing sky without friends is really full of stress until you strat liking the game by your own.

Making a new relationship is really hard for me.. because, I know how hurt it is when that other person is gone; pass away or disconnected. I don't want to get married and have kids because I don't want to give heart break to anyone. Plus, the probability to meet a wrong person really scare me. I live my life so far, surrounded with broken family, divorce and etc. All of this make me choose to be alone and be happy with the people that already here with me..
I will keep making friend tho, but, I cannot go 'further'..

Gosh you didn't have to make me cry and touched my heart. I kinda quitted months ago, I stopped playing cause of the same thing over and over again and I had other things to do. But after seeing your mini movies and reflecting on the memories I had, I miss it...the close friends I once had all came from there...
They are all basically gone now, and the ones that I still have contact with, we aren't close anymore.
The memories will forever hold in my heart.
I miss the days in the beginning...and it's heard to move on from your past close friends, especially when they are the ones that made the most memories with you.

when i was a moth a vet adopted me, he was pretty sweet and introduced me to his other friends. That time was the best time of my sky life ^^. after few weeks my exam came so i took break from sky, after i came back some people had their own friend group while other left the game. It was awkward to join people who already made friends so i slowly stopped playing game and deleted the game. just few months ago i started playing again but turns out the previous acc wasn't backed up and lost all my friends. Now I am a guide, with constellation filled with moths who will never come back and players i am too afraid to join TT

And I want to apologize to her, I left her so alone, my internet was cut off at the wrong times or my phone broke and I always felt separated from her. When I started playing Sky again, she was never online. I made many new and good friends in Sky but I can't forget her, she was different for me. Very selfish, leaving like that. I decided to take a break to study. But I made sure to hug all, one by one, and tell them that I would take a long time without being online. And after saying goodbye to most face by face, I left a boat for them to make sure I told everyone.
