  • Harv gets in a little practice doing low level strafing runs in preparation for hunting down the moles that keep leaving craters on our runway. Watch for the cool wing touch at about 3:04.

    Dang, Bob... that freeze-frame at :12 should be rated "XXX-aeronautical"! I didn't appreciate it the first five times I watched it, but it just made me fall out of my chair. "Hit the deck!!"

      *****
      You know, for a Parkzone, I agree, they did a pretty good job with this one. They are usually more about how well they fly rather than how detailed they are but this one turned out pretty good!
      Thanks for watching! Cheers, Bob

    Man those moles better watch out!! I'd leave town.
    (Harv): "I don't need no gun-- I've got a prop!"
    (Moles) "Run for your lives!!"

    The parkzone spitfire to me is more of a novelty thing. Its not the most powerful, and the fastest, and not the most highly detailed but i enjoy watching it fly back and forth of the runway. Only thing missing is that awesome sound.

    The Spitfire is probably my all time favorite dogfighting warbird, just slightly ahead of the A6M Zero, and the P-51. The parkzone spitfire flies really nice on 3s. Its not a rocket ship, but its light and very forgiving. I ended up banging it up later that day. its fixable, but i might hold out and see what parkzone has coming next.

    That... was awesome! Very nice flying Harv and video Bob! The only way I get that low is on a "near miss" crash or belly landing! Speaking of which, I'll post a flight of my PZ Spitfire flight from this winter where the left wingtip touched a snowbank on takeoff when a car startled and almost gave up to minimize the damage and after a loop I lost orientation for a second and luckily pulled out of it!

    Very nice, have you got standard eflite retracts fitted?, thought I noticed oleo sprung struts?.

    • @SubToTripleThreatRC
      @SubToTripleThreatRC  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the kind comments! Nothing special about the retracts. They were just stock E-flite retracts modified from another plane and the wire wrap around the struts make them look a bit "chunky" :-) Thanks very much for watching!

    I hated that plane. Never landed it successfully on the road. T-28 hopped up is a much better option imho. Great vid and you make it look easy!

    • @SubToTripleThreatRC
      @SubToTripleThreatRC  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like them both although my hopped up T-28 is my favorite. The Spitty likes to be flown into a landing with some power while the T-28 pretty much lands itself. Thanks for the great comments!
