Whoever stumbles upon this comment. I bought the tablet to test, it's updated to Android 13. Hardware is excellent. Software sucks. Discovered several bugs. Very bare bones. Compared to a Samsung Tab s7+. You will need to install several apps to mimick what the Samsung does. Stock Android is nice for phones, but not a large screen tablet. If acquired for a good price, and way less than an equivelant Samsung where you live, it's an understandable compromise, but don't over pay.
Congratulations to your purchase. I'm close to purchasing the p11 pro gen 2 myself . Do u feel the p12 is a much better buy than the p11 pro . Did u buy the 11 because the size is handier ?
Hi Andrew, thank you. That's it, I just want to thank you. This review is the best I've seen on the P12 Pro. You cover all of the features and compare it with the iPad Pro and Galaxy S8+ very fairly. Some of the reviews miss the wireless keyboard feature, which is a very good one - and you might have missed the Time of Flight camera and good face recognition as a result - but only one or two reviewers have noted it. This review helped me to make my choice to buy a used version of this at a wonderful price. Thank you for this, and thank you for the great attention and interest that you invest in these tablet reviews. You are great. 🙏
Good, interesting review. I would have thought that the more direct competitor would be the slightly older tab s7+. This has the same software as the s8, a similar chipset to the Lenovo and likely a similar update horizon. This can also now be bought at a discounted price.
Thanks for this.. I'm missing however the measurements of the screen brightness. When using tablet outdoors this is the limiting factor and can be make or break. Also, because you set the screen brightness to maximum, the battery life tests are not objective. You should measure those at at the same brightness..
This review is a year old and Levono has still not upgraded to Android 13 on the units they sell. I think ill wait to see if they ever do before i buy.
You talk about how Apple has better performance, but to do what? It's so artificially limited with the software that it's performance you can't take advantage of. Who cares what the geek bench score is? If you have a 20/20 iPad Pro and you can even resize windows on an external monitor?
You are comparing a 2-y-o iPad which is stupid as the Lenovo is 2022; the iPad Pro M2 will be Apple's 2022 iPad! It will kill this tablet for performance being able to run 8 apps simultaneously even if they are Pro apps like Lumafusion and Procreate. Absolutely nonsense that iPads cannot use their power and typical trolling.
@@lmaoded4854 The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro is not $330. Tell me where I can buy for that. It is nearly £700 (£900 for the 8GB model) in the UK which is not far the price of the iPad Pro 11-inch M1! It is also still on Android 11 which makes me worry about future updates. I think sensible people will easily choose the iPad over the P12 Pro, or buy a Tab S8+ instead.
@@andyH_England in my country it has a estimated price of 38k inr(it hasn't launched yet) for comparison the base spec ipad pro costs 72k inr which is almost 2x the price and the s8+ costs 70k inr

Been lenovo tablet fan since 2020 but my only complaint is i wish they offer more memory like some of other brands with the lenovo tablets only seem to go up to 128gb. While apple and some other brands can go up to 256gb, 512gb, and 1tb. Though lenovo still a good brand, esepcaily if on budget as some other brands tend to be expensive with you having to wait till they go on sale.

Wow if the info in the performance chart is real I think the iPad 9 2021 is still the best bang for buck tablet in the market, it still outperforms the Samsung tab s8+, that’s amazing considering it’s $330 price point
You are forgetting a much more important element than CPU performance, RAM. The iPad 9, while having a performance in line with the S8, has less than half the RAM, which means that apps and tabs will constantly reload, with loss of any data you have entered in the web page or document, for instance. That's also why it won't get features of iPadOS like external monitor support. Also the iPad 9 comes with no pencil in the box and the lightning port is good only for Apple focused peoples... and even then it's an inferior solution if you want to use external drives
@@_Digitalguy yo, it just costs $330, the galaxy tab s6 lite is more expensive than that, and i don't generally open more than 4 apps in the background anyway to bottleneck the ram + RAM management is much much better on ios devices due to it's hard ware to software optimization so the 3GB ram on an ipad would be equivalent to a 6gb android tablet and considering it's cheap price i think the ipad 9 is still the king in its segment and the most worth it product Apple sells so far, and for the Apple pencil: it's optional if you are an illustrator you should definitely get it because of the pressure sensitivity feature else there are Chinese active styluses available on the market ranging from $10 to $30 that does everything that an apple pencil can do exept pressure sensitivity

Why no audio jack? Ok, how many people used the USB-C connector for audio and end up the USB-C connector break? This connector is very precise with tight tolerances and prolonged use just destroys it. Hello! One could mitigate this by supplying two USB-C. on every device and this is happening already on larger laptops. So hop to it, Lenovo and give us an audio jack because I for one like my brain enough not to expose it to wireless.
This Lenovo tablet competes more with the Tab S7+ than with the Tab S8+, and even against the S7+ it doesn't really measure up.
