We visited China last year with my baby, actually bejing only. China is way advanced then we know in India, also i realized that china is a really great shopping destination. Like we landed in a mall, where one whole floor was dedicated to kids shoes. I have never seen anything like that in any country.

There are 6 lanes road with traffic lights in this town. 20 years ago, Chinese government planned the goals every village has paved concrete road, electricity supply, base medical insurance coverage. Now, 61% population is urbanized that have disconnected from countryside. Another 20% population work and living both city and farm like XingXing. China is urbanized country now.

I’m amazed that no one is wearing a face mask 😷 especially inside the supermarket . China has done a good job with handling the coronavirus. My Chinese friend from Yunnan also told me that everything is back to normal where she lives .
China has been closed for two or three months. There are no infectious cases in China. We all live a normal life, except for the bus and subway in Beijing which need to wear masks.

I used to live in a similar town for many years and I miss it. Many people live in big cities mainly because of economic pressure. Otherwise, living in small towns is very comfortable.

Ruchi as usual your content are just wonderful and enjoyable to watch. This episode was just great. Ivan is just too cute! I love seeing your interaction with family and friends and seeing the beautiful place and life in your in-law's home town. Just so relaxing and enjoyable. I love Xing Xing's place. It's flat out amazing looking. The whole interior decoration is beautiful and the tech in the home surprising too. I live in the US and live in a middle class town house but Xing Xing's place is something else just really nice. Impressed.
One of the reasons Xing Xing does not live in the apartment is probably because it was newly decorated. People in China usually will leave it for several months or a year or so to let out the Formaldehyde and other VOCs, contained in the construction materials. After all, they are not in thr hustle of moving in since currently they have a farm house to live.
This town is like a typical village town in Asia. But I must say, the roads are wide. And surprising to find a quite trendy boutique in the town. Hey, I do like that top you think silly. It's different. I think you like plain colours judging from the dress you bought and teeshirts you wear. Your cousin is very kind and warm. After school classes (art, ballet, music) are common among Asian parents. I think Ivan will be part of it when he reaches 5/6 yo?
In northern China, the population density is low and the terrain is mostly flat, so the have wider streets and larger buildings than in the southern China.
It looks like my small town in Heilongjiang province.. everyone knows everyone.. and people are super friendly than the people in big cities.. i start to missing the old times when i lived in China. here in Germany is so cold, the people would never greet each other like on the street like in my hometown.

It is a brand new apartment building. There are still some dorm buildings for workers which should be demolished when the construction completes. The interior deco, bath room, kitchen are better than those extra expensive, o!d apartments in beijing, Shanghai.

It's flat out amazing looking. The whole interior decoration is beautiful and the tech in the home surprising too. I live in the US and live in a middle class town house but Xing Xing's place is something else just really nice. Impressed.

One of the reasons Xing Xing does not live in the apartment is probably because it was newly decorated. People in China usually will leave it for several months or a year or so to let out the Formaldehyde and other VOCs, contained in the construction materials.
After all, they are not in thr hustle of moving in since currently they have a farm house to live.
This town is like a typical village town in Asia. But I must say, the roads are wide. And surprising to find a quite trendy boutique in the town. Hey, I do like that top you think silly. It's different. I think you like plain colours judging from the dress you bought and teeshirts you wear. Your cousin is very kind and warm. After school classes (art, ballet, music) are common among Asian parents. I think Ivan will be part of it when he reaches 5/6 yo?
In northern China, the population density is low and the terrain is mostly flat, so the have wider streets and larger buildings than in the southern China.
It looks like my small town in Heilongjiang province.. everyone knows everyone.. and people are super friendly than the people in big cities.. i start to missing the old times when i lived in China. here in Germany is so cold, the people would never greet each other like on the street like in my hometown.
I am Chinese, but this video help me to know a small city in Jilin that I' ve never gone before. China is huge, and there is various type of cultures. I like your videos and you really have great family in China.

Kids in China are kept busy so that even after school, they either go to a tutor for help with homework or to get more tutoring in advanced math, English and other difficult subjects. It's great that Xingxing has enrolled her daughter in art and ballet classes instead of more academic classes. Kids in China spend most of their time studying. I understand that parents want them to have an edge over their peers. But some parents forget that kids also need to have fun.
It is very different in rural areas. Odin’s parents are not strict at all. I think they give him too much freedom

It is a brand new apartment building. There are still some dorm buildings for workers which should be demolished when the construction completes. The interior deco, bath room, kitchen are better than those extra expensive, o!d apartments in beijing, Shanghai.
Yes, I agree.It's more beautiful than many old apartments. It's a recent popular style on 小红书"xiaohongshu".Maybe bcz my own apartment was renovated just last year,so for me,it is lack of some functions n uniqueness,no typical double balcony here,I extra set up a gym,walk-in cloakroom,home theater with projector,home office,action figures room,a bar on balcony,plant wall,cat stand,cyberpunk murals,indoor big trees ect,I designed every detail acc to my needs,decoration is really a tired thing,but it turn out to be a dream house for me,one of best feeling
