Get A Life Podcast Ep. 18 with guest Ros Atmore

We knew this story had to be told to inspire those marriages that get separated by the indoctrination of the PBCC. Ros show us that it is possible to break through the brainwashing of the PBCC when a spouse decides to leave or gets excommunicated. Join Ros as she recounts her attempts in leaving to rejoin her husband and how she finally got free. Listening to how she was labelled psychotic and had her children taken away is heart wrenching and shows how the gaslighting of the PBCC can make a mother question everything. Thankfully, Ros got some help from within the school and got free. Unfortunately, the person who helped her was suspended. We hear how much her child was bullied at the PBCC school and how free and happy her children are now. We hope this story really shows that ALL spouses can break free of the bondage the PBCC put on marriages when they want them to stay separated.

Fantastic podcast so far - I'm watching the videos all the way from beginning to the latest video. I do have to mention that you may want to hand the Zoom controls over to someone who is more savvy/attuned to what can be captured by recordings and where not to hover the mouse over while in a call/recording as I did see part of Cheryl's email addresses at 49:26. I know the Proton address is intended for the world to email but I don't think the Gmail one is. There have been other small things like that popping up here and there (e.g. computer pings and noises from guests and hosts interfering with the videos).

Thanks for your concern, we aren't worried about extra noises. As you get through the videos to more recent ones, we have kids pulling mikes off. We do these while holding down full time jobs, very ill spouses, deaths in family and editing at 3am. We aren't professionals and will never claim to be. We have zero money to do this professionally.
It's a conversation recorded in our daily lives. Yes, some have emails showing. I have nothing to hide. We don't have time to worry about these things. And as stated in another one of your comments of over talking...we all get passionate and it happens. Sometimes, alot. I appreciate the concern but we simply don't have time to worry about the small things. I always tell people who pick apart these podcasts to start their own or not watch. These get published with the time we have and the purpose is for those inside. Its working just as they are and I simply don't have anymore time to offer this podcast. My family have not had me present in their life since they started. I give all my spare time to this movement.

My goodness in the 70s the term ...Assembly widow did not exist but my Mother and our houehold left in th Brethren felt rejects, less worthy.

Congratulations Ros, Russ and children. The coercion and control is appalling. I've been out since 1990 and the part I didn't understand was why you couldn't just take your children out of school and just join your husband? Why did it require help from the school protection person?

For a counsellor to tell someone other than you that you were psychotic is totally unethical. You would have grounds to put in a complaint to the association she is registered with.

Ah just seen in that article that it was a psychiatrist - but the same applies. Confidentiality was broken
