I’ve had the same problem as to where my elbow has been too close to my body on the forehand. Something to pay attention to! Extension is a big factor!! She is really good!!!
Amazing for her age, but I would change her to a two handed backhand until she is older and stronger. She will win very few matches with that erratic backhand swing. I taught Junior clinics in Pennsylvania and Florida for over 20 years and was a top ranked junior player, so I have a bit of experience.

I'm a fan of the WTA, and a player with a single handed B/H. For me it was the one shot that progressed faster than any other. Your B/H is progressing nicely. Here is a list of all the Players with a single handed B/H's on the WTA tour as of October 2023. My opinion! Viktorija Golubic Is a stand out shot, but there are many fine examples here. One hander at 7 is impressive, as is she. I'd try and get her to rotate her wrist clockwise a bit as she's making contact with the ball instead of flopping it backwards through the follow through. That way there's not as much tension on it...
Keep grinding! Good stuff, I think things like movement/footwork will develop in time. Curious if you intend a one or two-handed backhand. I am not able to think of any one handers in the WTA other than Stosur. One of my boys is 6, so we do a lot of work but red balls and kid-size racket for now.
@@ismael7251 thanks. Just watched some highlights, she's solid. I'm actually curious why the one-hander is not as common in the WTA. On the men's side you see a few more (duh, Roger, but also guys like Tstitsipas and Thiem) but it seems like two-hander is more and more dominant.
@@tennisone6376 there's nothing wrong with constructive criticism to help improve a player's skillset. That's literally any coach's job.....or that of random strangers on the internet 🤔 😄
I hope her Dad show her videos of Serena and Ash Barty to boot!! Serena was the best server ever and a power player, but Barty has awesome technique! I’m gonna remember her name!❤❤ I hope to see you in about 6 years, because it’s 2024 this year!! I wish I knew her name, so I can remember her when it’s about 2028/29!😅
Amazing! I wish I had her technique on my ground strokes. She also looks to be a real charmer like our US Open Champion Coco Graff. I hope she stays nice and yes, feminine not feminist like the mean pink and blue dyed hair feminist captain of the USA women's soccer team who choked in the women's world cup soccer championships this year.
I play 🎾 with my brother and I always win 🏆 I'm just like a girl who knows tennis and I love tennis and I go to Emeri Tennis and I am in the oylimpics I'm a pro at it 😎
She's definitely good, but her one handed backhand doesn't come naturally.l - in fact, it looks somewhat awkward. I recommend her start switching to two handed backhand, if she wants to pursue pro aspirations 🙏🙏Best Wishes 🙏🙏
For everyone talking about the one handed backhand, it would impress me if she could do it properly, but it is clearly the weak point in this video, not the strong. She clearly still doesn't hold enough force on her little arms to do it properly, so she is doing something like a sliced backhand more than any other thing, and that is making a bad habit, maybe difficult to correct later on. Coach should correct that now and tell her to use 2 hands for now and make a proper topspin backhand, and they can decide later on, when she have developed enough strenght what to do, and wether to go back to one handed TOPSPIN backhand.
Gonna have to agree here. While her talent is very apparent, it’ll be hard to retrain habits. She already has a natural ability to keep up pace during a rally, great timing - but might be better to weaponize that one handed backhand slice and learn a two-handed backhand so she continue to learn with bigger kids who will undoubtedly overpower her current one-handed backhand. But then again, it’s also been a year since you posted this and what do I know. Only thing that I noticed might that need tuning was maybe her volleys. Talented nonetheless.
A career is long and full of hurdles...How many prodigies totally collapsed becuse of too much pressure etc... you can be called a prodigy when you are 15-16 years playing on the Pro tour. Before it's just void and illusion. I hope she will make it but calling a 7 years old girl a prodigy wont help her...
yup. She's just 7. She needs support and not expectations. Calling them a prodigy and expecting them to succeed wont help anyone. However Im sure they're doing whats best for her
If she's says humble she will make it. Serena sister always stayed humble and didn't think they were good hence got so far. If u love it to the end like the top athletes anything is possible
I do think she's too young to hit the normal tennis balls with such power could easily damage her elbow and ruin her future as a tennis player. The coach is mad!!
Its good to see how much she enjoys it. I hope she keeps that joy as things get more serious and competitive down the road.
I see a champion in her -- not just the skills but the spirit and attitude. Going to follow until you get there ... Keep it up!
Her sense of coordination is simply remarkable,😊
For once, the title actually makes sense. She's doing really well. Keep it up!

yeah I noticed that too. She can easily correct it now before she gets older.
Wow! Amazing young talent and great swing! Expect to see great things from you in the future. : )
amazing footwork from 7 year old player 👍
Wow amazing. Another Emma in the making. Also, I notice that an extreme western grip for forehand has become a norm for most budding players.
I’m a huge fan of Emma too lol.
She’s loving it, got swag too would love to see her as a professional. She differently has it going on ❤
Wow amazing job! Especially because she’s only SEVEN! That’s just pure talent.

I’m impressed with the one hander. Wow.

Your forhand is beautiful but the backhand is a kinda good
Incredible! She should be so proud!
KEEP IT UP YOUNG LADY! HOPE TO SEE YOU PLAYING ON THE WTA TOUR IN 10 YEARS! 👍👍👍👏👏👏🎾🎾🎾🎾🎾🎾🎾

a problem is she's not using her waist to turn while hitting the ball. She's just swinging her arm really hard over the shoulder.

Good job m3
She didn't have to deal with abusive household and usless parents. Any kid can be good if given the time and resources from an early age
Waooo que intensidad que ganas tiene esa niña ...y encima revés a una mano a su edad cosa dificilll
You're going to want to watch the depth in your shots; a lot of those forehands are sailing long
listen man when got nothing good to say maybe shut it

awesome
El hombre araña tiene su trama por ahi he leido que hay una pelicula donde se enfrenta el hombre araña contra venom pero aun no la encuentro
Very Cool!
Future D1 player for sure. Already a D3.
Great hand eye coordination
Top spin the ball
Little work on something like that TopSpin Pro device could really help her backhand...

Very cute!
Wrong backhand grip please fix it before she gets tennis elbow from stress on the wrist
Ouah, le super revers !
good try but in backhand she is using extra power by which it will take more time and in forhand she is doing face up that wrong
She is going to a pro tennis player. What a talent and most important focus and effort.
Tennis game
Nice one handed backhand
The racket is way to big !! She neds 23 max! Maybe 21 max…! Hope she will not get Problems with injuries
Don’t ever worry about what they say just keep working hard ‼️‼️‼️ it will all pay off
Look at the footwork. Come on!!!!
try getting her on the ladders he footwork rlly needs improving
You probably are not around a lot of young kids her footwork for her age is very advanced
@@ksadventures4904 yh but doesn't mean she cant still improve better to teach young

she plays better than me hahahahaha GOD
Ngl dude like 40% of those shots were out or in the net but she’s an absolute BEAST
