Dude I swear guy umpires call games in favor of the team w the hotter girls, I went to a tournament one time and the whole weekend the softball team was there too and the umpire was literally following this team everywhere like called all there games and didn’t let them lose, by the end the teams coach was like “thank you but you gatta leave us alone” and she ended up reporting the dude

I played in the 12U all stars for my district and we had the worst umpires you could ever have, and the manager of the district even said to the coaches, I don’t want any texts or phone calls saying about how bad the umpires are, because I know they are horrible

As a coach and father it was extremely hard to keep my tongue. Frustrating my daughter to the point she never played after that year again.
I always take these comments with a grain of salt. Rarely are these comments to be taken seriously. Always looking for someone else to blame. However, I will certainly entertain a level of validity. Just post the videos that support your claim. This umpire today was definitely having a bad day. But enough to make a kid quit? Kid didn’t want it. Quitting had nothing to do with the umpire. That is just an excuse.

yeah his head was a feet above the hitters' head - so his strike zone was skewed up a feet. He is also setting up far to the side like he is biasing with the hitter. You can clearly see that when the hitter with the yellow shoe was set in the middle of the hitting box and he was set outside the plate.
I've coached for years and always make sure my parents know that if they bark at our umpires I'll have them umpire the next game. This is probably the 1st time I'd be ok with parents yelling at the umpire. I'd probably get tossed myself.

Strike zone should be based on size of batter not on a defined area based on umps size. A tall person from knees up will be larger than a short person from knees up. Another words a strike called at waist of tall girl would be at the shoulders of a short girl and be a ball. Consistency please!

That has happen to me when I was pitching and I got mad so I told the coach I was done and he went and talked to the umpire and told him that he has to be even on both sides and if he didn't be even on both sides that we would have to got to the person that was over the umpires after that he finally called it even
Had one of those in summer ball. We 10 run ruled them anyway. Ump called strikes going through the opposite batter box and bouncing in front of the plate and even passing higher than my eye level. Ump called strikes for us if it fit in a space smaller than 2 index cards. I got called out on an in the park home run when I beat the throw by a full second and clearly got all the bases. I happened to be our pitcher that game and when the teams lined up to shake hands, I let that Ump know that a vegetable could have called a better game and I still beat her.

In junior high we had a ref they called “hometown coffee”. Every time the other team ran for a touchdown, he would follow them down the field and discreetly drop the flag and call clipping or illegal block lol
