One thing I noticed was the symbolism Isha carries with her being mute. Ever since Jinx met isha, she stopped hearing the voices in her head. Isha represented those voices being muted and finally bringing peace to jinx’s head.
People have been saying thats also why the song that plays during her sacrifice is in a foreign language; because like Isha, there's no words to understand, but you understand what she's saying none the less

You know what the most heartbreaking thing is? VANDER WAS CRYING... 😭 He had no control over himself but was aware. That is horrifying to imagine. I dont want to know what he was thinking while seeing Isha was basically sacrificing herself, especially when they had sweet moments over the little time they knew each other.

I'm now convinced that the writers have a rule in the writers room: No one can be happy for more than half of an episode. The whole time I was rocking up and down saying to myself "She's gonna be okay, Isha's not going to die, it's okay, it's okay... STOP SHOWING FLASHBACKS!!!" 😭
It's more just what the entire show has been. Multiple people with different, often conflicting motivations all trying to solve their own individual problems and they each inevitably end up having consequences for everyone else. Vi, Jinx, Vander and Isha find a plateau of stability for a moment amidst the chaos, but the world is bigger than just them and moves forward whether its wanted or not.
25:40 This gear had two sides, one clean and the other corrupted, Viktor was holding it when he talked about Jinx's talents being used to build instead of destroy and now the corrupted side is facing up.
It was a symbol for jinx but also for viktor because of the way he went full corrupt in act 3 but also jinx because of the other universe we saw where she did use her mechanics for good
"I will not sacrifice his humanity for your cause. You may leave." Wow!! That was a calm way of Viktor telling Singed to get lost. He knows what Singed is capable of and he doesn't want to kill anyone for Singed's or Ambessa's own personal gain, including Vander.

Remember how Ambessa talked about strength to Cait? She mentioned sacrifice was the fourth component for it. Issha was definitely one of the strongest. 😢 She wanted to be a villain like Jinx, but she ended up a hero, like Jinx.
14:08 So, not only is the takedown that Caitlyn did to Vi the same that Ambessa did to Caitlyn, but if you sync up those two scenes side by side, they are perfectly in tandem with each other. It's a great way to highlight just how much of a tactician and strategist Caitlyn really is, copying a move that was done to her once with perfect accuracy. It's those small details that give the characters that much more depth!!!!!
I wonder if Vi’s three rules she learned from Vander about trust have to do with two things. One, her “shut up” lesson to Mylo. And two, her lesson to Caitlyn about “letting people think you have what they want.” “See this look on my face? This will always mean it’s time to shut up.” So, Vi saw something in Caitlyn’s face to know she could trust her sincerity? Vi also seemed to see something in Jinx’s tearful eyes to know she was telling the truth about Vander being alive. And looking back, Vi does tend to let her opponents talk and talk while she listens and plans her next move. Like with Silco outside her old house, or when Ekko kidnapped and interrogated her, or when Caitlyn implores Ekko to give back the gemstone.

I initially thought that Jinx saw Isha as a little sister and that Jinx would understand how it feels to be a big sis like Vi. While that's true, Act 2 revealed a deeper bond between Jinx and Isha. It’s more like how Silco sees Jinx as a daughter Jinx sees Isha as more than a sibling, almost like a daughter to her.
Isha's sacrifice broke me in more ways than I thought possible. The saddest part is since she never spoke, Jinx won't even be able to hold onto her as a voice in her head.

Even when Vander lost control, he tried not to hurt Jinx and Vi. And he was crying, he knew exactly what was going on. So horrifying and heartbreaking. Rule one of Arcane: If there's even a hint of happiness, it's only so they can take it away later.
(Spoiler free) I just finished the last 3 episodes (7,8 and 9) and let me tell you, never have I experienced such emotion come from within me throughout anything I have ever done in my entire life. Im not even that emotional of a person, but this completely broke me. I have no idea how the people that worked on this show were able to create something so... pure and emotional, yet also something so beautiful and touching. When this show only had season 1 out, I had it tied with a few other shows as one of the best shows ever made, but after finishing season 2, I can unequivocally say that Arcane is THE BEST piece of fictional media to have ever been made, and thats comparing it to any other tv show or movie or even video games. Nothing has ever changed me such as this show has, and I am grateful to have been able to experience such a masterpiece, and I cant wait to see Elijah witness act 3 and completely fall apart the same way I did.
Vi getting interrogated by Ambessa is so good! Vi would be perfect for Noxus but Vi is too rebellious in spirit. But Vi knows, unlike Ambessa, that Caitlyn is also rebellious in spirit too. And the fact Ambessa chooses to tell Vi that she did steal Caitlyn’s heart as though this would hurt Vi before she’d kill her, is practically laughable in Vi’s POV. “Don’t worry, she’s not distracted.” ;)
seeing Warwick and Vander fight for control was heartbreaking but also heartwarming at the same time but when Warwick went berserk after Viktor's death was absolutely devastating on all levels
I didn't realize how much I had missed Vander until this act....He was the light for Zaun because he couldn't bring them to the light himself. If half the men were as good as Vander the world would be so much better.
Isha is a good representation of Powder and young Vi. Her eyes are neither pink or blue, but yellow. Isha stole Vi’s gemstones from her gauntlets along with Jinx’s gem from her pistol. If you include Viktor’s question about fate, then Isha sacrificing herself is symbolic that Powder was always fated to die. The events of that night with the monkey bomb were always going to happen. But this time, Isha/Powder is somehow okay with it. She reminded Jinx what was good about the life of Powder. She even holds up Jinx’s pistol like the blue flare. Vander returning wasn’t just another chance for the sisters at a life with him, it was another chance at life after he is gone for good.
Honestly, Arcane has been an incredibly, encompassing story about life. The truth is life doesn’t work like a story with “and they lived happily ever after”. As the trailer said, “Every ending… has a new beginning.” And Viktor says, “Evolution has a destination. Not to combat nature, but to supersede it.” All the characters in this story constantly evolve, constantly affect each others lives, and can never escape our capacity to perform our greatest good and our greatest evil… because life keeps happening. Life isn’t a short and sweet story with a neat beginning, middle, and ending. New things will constantly happen to us our whole lives. Every time we think a trauma or an event is going to destroy us, the story continues. Over and over, we are going to face new trauma, or pain, or feel incredible loss. But we’re still here, even if we’re questioning, “why?” If we looked at the world as a whole, we would undoubtedly believe humanity isn’t worth saving. But if we look just through our individual eyes at the people who loved us, who touched our lives, we believe that is worth saving.
What hurts me the most about that death scene was that I know that feeling where you finally find someone who you’re comfortable with as a friend where you can just be yourself and then you lose them later on… it’s not fun it’s really hard

God, you spotting that frame of Isha in the opening had me cry-laughing from "Oh god, they TOLD US WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO!" Oh, and it is Ambessa - the black and red is Noxus' colors, and my interpretation of the opening (prior to seeing the final Act) is that Mel is worried she'll follow the same path as her mother, and that the Black Rose organization will be the one to lead her down it. And a few people have pointed out that most people will wipe the spit *away* from the mouth, but Caitlyn actually wiped it *towards* her mouth - you may commence the squeals of lesbian delight at that realization.
I was like "We are focusing too much on the child. Why are we focusing so much on the child? Can someone please take the child out of the literal warzone? STOP FOCUSING THE CAMERA ON HER, I CAN FEEL YOU PULLING ME HEART STRINGS". Well, damn.
"Ever since you dropped into my life, it's like I put on glasses. Except I can't tell whether everything's blurry or clear." Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. That was such a sweet thing for Jinx to say to Isha. I think that when Jinx met her, she stopped hearing all the voices in her head because Isha is mute, where she represents those voices going away and Jinx making peace with herself. Isha survived the Undercity by herself, became best friends with Jinx, helped the Undercity rally together, and eased the conflict between Vi and Jinx. She's such an amazing character and really helped out Jinx a lot.
I knew this would happen. This show never had mercy with kids, so I knew something like this would happen, but didn't expected to hurt so. *DAMN. MUCH!* RIP Isha, you deserved the world.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The way Jinx asks, “We?” to Vi twice in different contexts, and Vi smiles for the first time in forever! I sort of wish Vi and Jinx got a chance to hold hands or side hug each other at the “grave” where their house was, on their own, without Vander, to show their relationship is healing. Maybe in act three?
While losing Isha and Vander in one shot (pardon the pun) is tragic in itself….it is also a much darker, and poetic moment at the same time. Vander was fully aware of what was going on when Warwick was on the rampage….but like a passenger in a car, he was completely unable to control it when it was happening. Imagine being in that situation where you see the carnage “you” are causing, and being 100% helpless to stop it. So when Isha pulled the trigger….she was doing Vander a kindness. Of all the reaction videos for this episode that were done....yours was the one I waited for the most!

In the flash backs while isha is running at the end, the shot with them both using spray cans to paint lines on the wall basically tells their story together. From where it touches, (first meeting) to the lines going apart ( don’t know each other) to the lines coming closer together as the bond forms between them. Then Jinx continues off screen abut the scene cuts before Isha can as her story gets cut short, and jinx has to keep going alone. Absolutely breaks my heart
Jinx calling Viktor "Cookie" made me smile and giggle a bit!!! Also, Viktor really struck a nerve when he called Jinx "Powder". She doesn't like being called that name, even though its her real name.

Okay so this took me a little to figure out but, Mel isn't the half siblings that was born when Ambessa fell in love. The child of Ambessa and the other dude IS THE BLACK ROSE!! When the black rose said " sister" to Mel that was the black rose AKA Mel and her brother's half sibling!!
I can't read the comments. Someone started writing about episode 8, which I haven't seen yet. So, I don't know if this has been said, but seriously, Elijah, I don't know how you spot the little one-frame glimpses of these things. First you did it in the "Enemy" music video, spotting the quick flash from Powder to Jinx when she pointed her finger-gun at the passing enforcers. And this season you spotted the changes in the intro... at least well-enough to go through each intro frame by frame to be sure to catch them all. I don't know how you do it. I can't see them even when I'm looking for them unless I go frame by frame too. No one else I've watched reactions from has ever pointed them out. You're the only one. And it's amazing.
It bothers me so much that there's ppl out there who think Isha has no character like 😭😭😭😭 SHE'S A LITTLE HERO!!!! SHE ALWAYS BELIEVED THAT JINX COULD BE A HERO TOO!!! Isha truly saw good things in jinx and that absolutely shook her to her core 😭 even isha's final act is one of heroism
Isha’s death broke me. What makes it even worse for me is that I usually HATE child characters. And what does this show do?they give me a child character I adore, then they blow her up 😭
Isha was what powder was and showed like Silco and Vander know. When finding someone you truly love, to love for you can be doing dangerous things. Jinx things she the reason everyone dies around her but the truth is to them she's worth the sacrifice. To Vander she love, to Silco she perfect, to Isha she's hope.
One thing I’ve noticed that will probably break Elijah more. The way Vander acknowledges and looks down to see Isha beneath him just breaks me. You can see a part of him is still conscious in Warwick. He looks concerned, upset even that Isha is even near him. Upset that he couldn’t stay and be with his last bit of family. Guilty that he’s made another child sacrifice themselves at such a young age. Since Vander is in the last act by the trailer, if he comes back and remembers what happened. He will be absolutely devastated and destroyed that he wasn’t able to stop himself and save Isha.
So the thing Rictus has that repels magic is an item from the game called Kaenic Rucern. It is created by the Black Rose, Ambessa seems to have stolen it and use it against them
I think she missed the Glorious Evolution. That moment was a nice treat for us, lorereaders. And how when Warwick exits the tent, the music is the same one as when Vander leaves his holding cell in 1x3. Hits just right..

You mentioning that perhaps Ambessa may not be herself and it may have to do something with the black rose had me scratching my head. (Not sure what the whole deal with the rose is though). I have to say, this episode wasn’t a cliffhanger, but it sure went out with a bang! Seems like Isha just wanted to protect Jinx, the one she looked up to, no matter what. It's a great way to highlight just how much of a tactician and strategist Caitlyn really is, copying a move that was done to her once with perfect accuracy. It's those small details that give the characters that much more depth!!!!!
I wonder if Vi’s three rules she learned from Vander about trust have to do with two things. One, her “shut up” lesson to Mylo. And two, her lesson to Caitlyn about “letting people think you have what they want.”

Vi also seemed to see something in Jinx’s tearful eyes to know she was telling the truth about Vander being alive. And looking back, Vi does tend to let her opponents talk and talk while she listens and plans her next move. Like with Silco outside her old house, or when Ekko kidnapped and interrogated her, or when Caitlyn implores Ekko to give back the gemstone.

I initially thought that Jinx saw Isha as a little sister and that Jinx would understand how it feels to be a big sis like Vi. While that's true, Act 2 revealed a deeper bond between Jinx and Isha. It’s more like how Silco sees Jinx as a daughter Jinx sees Isha as more than a sibling, almost like a daughter to her.

(Spoiler free) I just finished the last 3 episodes (7,8 and 9) and let me tell you, never have I experienced such emotion come from within me throughout anything I have ever done in my entire life. Im not even that emotional of a person, but this completely broke me.
I have no idea how the people that worked on this show were able to create something so... pure and emotional, yet also something so beautiful and touching.
When this show only had season 1 out, I had it tied with a few other shows as one of the best shows ever made, but after finishing season 2, I can unequivocally say that Arcane is THE BEST piece of fictional media to have ever been made, and thats comparing it to any other tv show or movie or even video games.
Nothing has ever changed me such as this show has, and I am grateful to have been able to experience such a masterpiece, and I cant wait to see Elijah witness act 3 and completely fall apart the same way I did.
Ep. 7 made my heart grow three sizes. ABSOLUTE CINEMA. ALL OF IT!!!

I didn't realize how much I had missed Vander until this act....He was the light for Zaun because he couldn't bring them to the light himself.
If half the men were as good as Vander the world would be so much better.
Isha is a good representation of Powder and young Vi. Her eyes are neither pink or blue, but yellow. Isha stole Vi’s gemstones from her gauntlets along with Jinx’s gem from her pistol. If you include Viktor’s question about fate, then Isha sacrificing herself is symbolic that Powder was always fated to die. The events of that night with the monkey bomb were always going to happen. But this time, Isha/Powder is somehow okay with it. She reminded Jinx what was good about the life of Powder. She even holds up Jinx’s pistol like the blue flare. Vander returning wasn’t just another chance for the sisters at a life with him, it was another chance at life after he is gone for good.
Honestly, Arcane has been an incredibly, encompassing story about life. The truth is life doesn’t work like a story with “and they lived happily ever after”. As the trailer said, “Every ending… has a new beginning.” And Viktor says, “Evolution has a destination. Not to combat nature, but to supersede it.” All the characters in this story constantly evolve, constantly affect each others lives, and can never escape our capacity to perform our greatest good and our greatest evil… because life keeps happening. Life isn’t a short and sweet story with a neat beginning, middle, and ending. New things will constantly happen to us our whole lives. Every time we think a trauma or an event is going to destroy us, the story continues. Over and over, we are going to face new trauma, or pain, or feel incredible loss. But we’re still here, even if we’re questioning, “why?” If we looked at the world as a whole, we would undoubtedly believe humanity isn’t worth saving. But if we look just through our individual eyes at the people who loved us, who touched our lives, we believe that is worth saving.

God, you spotting that frame of Isha in the opening had me cry-laughing from "Oh god, they TOLD US WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO!"
Oh, and it is Ambessa - the black and red is Noxus' colors, and my interpretation of the opening (prior to seeing the final Act) is that Mel is worried she'll follow the same path as her mother, and that the Black Rose organization will be the one to lead her down it.
And a few people have pointed out that most people will wipe the spit *away* from the mouth, but Caitlyn actually wiped it *towards* her mouth - you may commence the squeals of lesbian delight at that realization.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. That was such a sweet thing for Jinx to say to Isha. I think that when Jinx met her, she stopped hearing all the voices in her head because Isha is mute, where she represents those voices going away and Jinx making peace with herself. Isha survived the Undercity by herself, became best friends with Jinx, helped the Undercity rally together, and eased the conflict between Vi and Jinx. She's such an amazing character and really helped out Jinx a lot.
I knew this would happen. This show never had mercy with kids, so I knew something like this would happen, but didn't expected to hurt so. *DAMN. MUCH!* RIP Isha, you deserved the world.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

While losing Isha and Vander in one shot (pardon the pun) is tragic in itself….it is also a much darker, and poetic moment at the same time.
Vander was fully aware of what was going on when Warwick was on the rampage….but like a passenger in a car, he was completely unable to control it when it was happening. Imagine being in that situation where you see the carnage “you” are causing, and being 100% helpless to stop it. So when Isha pulled the trigger….she was doing Vander a kindness.
Of all the reaction videos for this episode that were done....yours was the one I waited for the most!

Vander’s memories of the girls as so cute! And how they blend into Vi’s memories are so sweet!
In the flash backs while isha is running at the end, the shot with them both using spray cans to paint lines on the wall basically tells their story together. From where it touches, (first meeting) to the lines going apart ( don’t know each other) to the lines coming closer together as the bond forms between them. Then Jinx continues off screen abut the scene cuts before Isha can as her story gets cut short, and jinx has to keep going alone.
Absolutely breaks my heart
Plus, Vi punching Caitlyn’s net at Ambessa to show they are working together again! Wow!

I can't read the comments. Someone started writing about episode 8, which I haven't seen yet. So, I don't know if this has been said, but seriously, Elijah, I don't know how you spot the little one-frame glimpses of these things. First you did it in the "Enemy" music video, spotting the quick flash from Powder to Jinx when she pointed her finger-gun at the passing enforcers. And this season you spotted the changes in the intro... at least well-enough to go through each intro frame by frame to be sure to catch them all. I don't know how you do it. I can't see them even when I'm looking for them unless I go frame by frame too.
No one else I've watched reactions from has ever pointed them out. You're the only one. And it's amazing.

The way Vander acknowledges and looks down to see Isha beneath him just breaks me. You can see a part of him is still conscious in Warwick. He looks concerned, upset even that Isha is even near him. Upset that he couldn’t stay and be with his last bit of family. Guilty that he’s made another child sacrifice themselves at such a young age. Since Vander is in the last act by the trailer, if he comes back and remembers what happened. He will be absolutely devastated and destroyed that he wasn’t able to stop himself and save Isha.
