I haven't seen people mention it but at the beginning when jinx is trying to blow herself away, when ekko sits down and says, "I'm just trying to convince an old friend not to blow us both up", jinx jumps off the ledge instead so she doesn't hurt him 😢
ngl I don't know what she thought was gonna happen by jumping. Cause that fall right before she sacrificed herself should have done something but it did nothing.
Caitlyn losing her eye wasn't just about losing things in war, she was using Ambessa's teachings from Episode 6 to win: "I've discovered a fourth principle. One that heightens all others. Sacrifice." She chose to sacrifice her eye to be able to reach and remove Ambessa's Kaenic Rookern (the anti-magic item that protected her from Mel) 😢
What kills me is that If you think about it, you literally can t think of a timeline where Jayce and Viktor live happily. Viktor always dies of illness without meeting Jayce and inventing hextech, and Jayce always commits s*icide without meeting Viktor and inventing hextech (hence why they aint in the alternate universe without hextech)... In a way we saw their "happiest" timeline, which is a tragedy in itself, coz if they dont meet they die, if they meet they cause death
I saw someone write on twitter "Jayce only ever had 10 years *with Viktor" because Viktor dies anyway from the sickness or Jayce himself dies, and I wanted to rip my eyeballs out
I still believe that somewhere out there in the infinite multiverse there are timelines where they probably still meet because of different circumstances and certainly perform a much different outcome! (like what of one where vik is not tainted by his disease?) possibilities are endless:)

Victor would always have his disease as it was something he developed/had and wasn't from an action taken. Now that not to say he couldn't find a cure another way without the arcane coming into play.
So, awesomely enough, Caitlyn snipes with her right eye. She moved Ambessa's blade to her left eye, knowing she'd be able to accept the loss of it. CAITLYN IS SO UNBELIEVABLY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shout out to the real winner of Arcane, Singed. Mans is an absolute legend. Starts off by having to Mr. Freeze his dying daughter. To save her, he begins researching highly controversial means of recovery/augmentation. Ends up creating Shimmer, the most influential tech in the show aside from Hextech (maybe), and sells the recipe for a sweet lab. Steals Vander and tranforms him into Warwick. Trades Warwick to Ambessa for a position of power. Leverages that into a play with Viktor (my protege btw). Helps him complete the Glorious Evolution and then has his daughter revived by the Machine Herald. Glorious.
Ambessa had such Noxian mentality, but you can tell she did have love for Mel conflicting with her need for total control. "You are the wolf" was like Ambessa saying "I am proud of you / I love you." It was so touching when she finally understood Mel's strength in this world, and it sold me on her character and she is one of my favorite antagonists in a while. A believable anti-villain that I don't feel weird about liking.
She's still a villain guys. It's not at all weird to like her as a character, but she was still a warmonger who invaded piltover and zaun, ready to doom their people either to death or the Glorious Evolution, for purely self-serving reasons. Her worldview doesn't contain any concept of justice aside from "eye for an eye" retribution, which is how her Noxian feud spills over to another region in the first place. She is objectively evil
@@universalpower419 Nice attempt at gaslighting. It's not narcissistic, just a perspective. And as others have said, Ambessa was evil. She manipulated everyone, treating them as tools to be used and at times, discarded. Did she care for people like her daughter or her second in command? Sure. But she immediately began working on Caitlyn when she couldn't control/influence Mel anymore. She has positive characteristics and maybe even noble intentions, but in the end, she's a user, and sees no friends or allies; only tools to be used.
The purple from Jinx's Time Speed in the explosion, the vents on the side, yep, she's definitely alive and on that blimp in the final scene. Just like she always wanted.
Seeing Vi zone out and cry over Vander’s body… Jinx finally gets how much pain Vi was in. “You can’t save him.” And Vi still doesn’t respond. And then we get the shot of Vander’s bleeding head from Vi’s perspective that night! We, the audience were on the left, but now we see from Vi’s POV on the right. Jinx finally understands how Vi is not as invincible as she thought. She knows now Vi didn’t consciously choose to slap her that night, she was mentally overwhelmed with the pain of losing Vander. That reframing of the events that night is just gorgeous!
Maddie was never a traitor, she’s Noxian and infiltrated Piltover’s enforcers. She pretended to be someone who could get close to Cait without any suspicion, and waited for instructions. That’s why she was the first “Pilti” to start doing the Noxian salute when Ambessa was turning Cait into a dictator. She played the calming voice opposite to Ambessa’s warmongering, but never was outright defiant. And when Cait flipped, she was going to try to turn her back, then spied on the couple’s conversation. Cait may have used her as a physical rebound, but she played the lovestruck aid to stay above suspicion and stay close in case Ambessa activated her… then during the battle she sabotaged the bomb before handing it over and stuck next to Cait to make her move. I’m both impressed at how cold she was, and very happy about how she basically shot herself when she was aiming to paralyse Cait for a more painful death (she was aiming at the base of the skull and spine instead of the back of the head) and smiled when she pulled the trigger.
Salo said that they have someone spying on Caitlyn in her private life. It was Maddie all the time. They knew Cait would become compromised because of Vi. "The one who captured Caitlyn's heart", as Ambessa stated it. That's not common knowledge among the people. Only few knew.....

And odds are she was initially planted there to get close to Cait and keep tabs on not just her but her and her mother (think of the job Cruz did in the first season of Lioness) because it would have been an easy way to keep an eye on a councillor who is also the head of one of the most formidable families in Piltover. Then Jinx happened and Maddie’s role became more pivotal. That’s probably why she “cozied up” to Vi on first meeting. Lying about how Cait vouched for her (not that Cait didn’t argue for Vi to get allowed in the enforcers, she probably did… but she wouldn’t throw her weight or family name around to get her way) and fangirling. I could imagine her trying to cause strife between Cait and Vi subtly if they hadn’t broken up, or tried to use Vi’s typically more impulsive nature to keep them invested in the conflict between the cities. Any tactic to complete her mission.
In the very first episode of the show, Powder saw a blimp and said "One day, I'm gonna ride one of those things." I strongly believe she's still alive. That last shot is there for a reason.
A detail in case you didn't notice - at 24:00 you can see Viktor's hand moving. This means he was stroking Jayce's arm soothingly as they were about to sacrifice themselves.
In that split second, when the screen goes black and white as she takes the shot at Caitlyn, Maddie was smiling. Hope she "appreciated the warmth" of that bullet.
3:51 Fun fact: Jinx thought Ekko was a hallucination, after all he appeared out of nowhere and shouldn't know where his base is (information that Ekko obtained by traveling to another reality), only when Ekko comments about blowing them both up, Jinx realized he was real and decided to jump, as she didn't want to hurt anyone else.
Episode 1: Protect Maddie at all costs! This sweet ginger is too precious for this world! Episode 3 at the final scene as Maddies beating her chest in the salute: Well, I'll give this girl the benefit of the doubt, she might just not know what she's cheering for. Episode 4 in the beginning scene between her and Caitlyn: Hmm...I wasn't mad at Maddie because of the situation, I was suspicious of her. I thought either she genuinely had feelings for Caitlyn that Caitlyn didn't have back, or she had some ulterior motives. Episode 9 as soon as the reveal happened: *slams fist into my bed* I KNEW IT!!! YOU *****! 💜

Vi keep chasing' the ''powder'' version of Jinx. She even said it herself.'' if you take your talent and use it for good maybe we can REWRITE, your story. the point being Rewrite not write an new story. Like its gonna overwritten the Jinx and bring back Powder. Jinx understood this when she realise that Vi is never gonna give her up. There is so much forsahdowing in the dialogue. Always with you sis instead of goodbye and the '' even if we are world appart. Both need to be seperated in other to grow. Vi to finally chose herself and be happy. Jinx in other to find her new identity unburden both her past and her past selves.
Vi's heart is too good that she does mistakes a lot. Shes the most human one of all (as in with flaws that we all do in any situation) im glad she has Cait... finally the gay survived ❤ (although my boy ekko deserved better too)
I can't believe this is the end of Arcane. I first found Elijah through her Arcane reactions and can't believe it's now over. So grateful to have been along for the ride.
Ambessa's last words are actually really beautiful. The one thing she feared is that Mel wouldn't have the strength and instinct needed to keep herself safe. "You are the wolf" - She's finally able to face what the world has in store for her.

I think Maddie was always a spy. When we first meet Maddie, she was a "junior officer" which means she was a new recruit. Probably one of many new recruits to join after Jinx's attack. This leads me to believe she was planted by Ambessa to be an agent on the Enforcers for her. After all she was the first to pound her chest to encourage Cait to take power. This would mean then, that she took advantage of Cait's breakup with Vi to move in and get even closer to her, becoming Cait's right hand. Of course on the surface she acted like she was against Ambessa, with Ambessa likewise acting like she was annoyed by Maddie's presence, but that was likely a ploy to avoid suspicion (Ambessa is VERY cunning after all). As a note: look up the black and white flash frame as Maddie shoots Cait. You can see an evil grin on her face, indicating her true feelings.
Seeing Vi feeling happy, free, and safe with her soulmate after all that suffering, and having that be the last scene of the show, was like medicine for the heart. Beautiful. ❤

Technically, he’s also the reason Powder/Jinx ends up experimenting with Hextech in the first place, in all timelines is seems. When Vi lives, Powder kills the rest of her family with the unstable orbs and goes on to make a Hextech weapon for Silco. When Vi dies, she hides the orbs, but we see she still has them at the end of the alt episode, and she helped Ekko make a mini time machine with those little shards before he left. Oh, and in that timeline Vander is telling her she’s not living up to her potential. Vi (and Mylo) created Jinx and Singed pumps her full of Shimmer, but Ekko gives her Hextech.
To be fair, Cait looks badass with the eye patch, and she kinda needs just one eye to be a sniper. Eye for saving the world+Hot GF seems like a great deal
Cait shoots right-handed. Therefore, she uses her right eye to aim. She'll be fine. And, canonically, Jinx will head to Demacia and become good friends with Lux
Some people are cross-dominant, but your point still stands. Cait is right-eye dominant, so losing the left will simply force her to adjust, not give up shooting altogether. Also, I am SO excited to get Lux!

It has officially gone down as a staple of animated history, and will be remembered for many decades to come, if not longer. This show has brought us such a journey, and it’s one I will never forget. It has been an honor knowing and watching this show, as well as being able to indulge in your phenomenal reactions and unbelievably accurate foresight. This is hands down one of the best shows I have watched ever. From the art style to the characters and their brutal yet beautiful arcs, this show has topped the TV community, and for that, thank you Arcane. I've sometimes seen people complain that Maddie's betrayal came out of nowhere. However, it was subtly foreshadowed since Act One. Whilst Caitlyn was leading her Strike Team in the Undercity, Salo complained to Ambessa that all he could do was wait for updates about Caitlyn's activities - which implied there was someone on the inside providing them information. And given that the strike team operated independently, it had to be one of them. Also, in Episode 8, we saw Maddie eavesdropping on Caitlyn and Vi's conversation. People might have assumed she was being jealous and/or trying to suss out the status of their relationship. Except, that wasn't the topic of the conversation at all, and Maddie's eavesdropping was to find out their plans against Ambessa and what forces they likely had (e.g. whether Jinx was likely to be in play).
Yeah. At first I hated the fact that Maddie is a Noxian spy, because it feels like a RonTheDeathEater trope wish fulfillment for people who wants to see her turn evil so she can be killed for the audacity of getting in between the VioLyn. Then I realized in a show this short that must be the plan all along and never the writers just giving in to the audience wishes. but Now I'm perplexed as to why would Maddie say things that seemingly counteracts Ambessa's plans? Why not send her as a spy wo seduce Caitlyn to agree even more to her plans?
@@ouwejongen7526 Probably because Caitlyn isn't dumb and so, would probably have been suspicious - and would definitely have been out-of-character - for her to have fallen for someone simply echoing Ambessa's talking points. Caitlyn's softer side has always been there, with her second-guessing her more ruthless actions based on what Vi said, rather than anything Maddie said. Instead, Maddie's comments seem geared to be ineffectual - Caitlyn contemplates being aggressive and shares it with Maddie, Maddie then retorts along the lines of "okay, Ambessa", cue Caitlyn doubling down thinking "no, I'm doing this because I think it's a good idea not because it's what Ambessa thinks is a good idea".

After so much pain, Vi finally gets to be happy, free, and safe with her cupcake. It's so perfect that they made that the final scene. It's healing for the audience too.

Vi was reason for Jinx creation, Piltower's destruction in S1 finale, And Jinx's death (Apparently). She could have escaped there in finale but no, she decided to search Vander in a Wolfman who was ready to kill everyone two seconds ago. And look in other world where ONLY Vi isn't present, everything is absolutely fine and everyone is happy.
After everything VI had suffered and lost throughout these two seasons she deserved to be happy and be with her cupcake I truly hope VI and Caitlin live a long and happy life together so thank you to the production team for finally giving us a Sapphic couple that makes it to the end and get there happily ever after together
Somebody else pointed out, Mel didn't shield Caitlyn, she put it around Maddie so no matter which direction the bullet deflected it would always wind up hitting her. Unlike when she directly shielded Caitlyn and it deflected at a guard later. Bit of a subtle detail I'd missed the first time.
At the last scene of the airship flying into the unknown. In S1 ep1 Jinx once’s said that she would fly one of the airships. And now Jinx has fulfilled her wish, broke the cycle of killing and is moving on to pursue a new and happier life for her.
"This world is a wasteland, please let me go", in the beginning it's a song about suicide, but with the end HEAVILY implying that Jinx survived and escaped, it's about how she's done with everything in Zaun and Piltover and just wants to leave to start a new life.
I have to disagree with the last part because it's more complex than that - Jinx realizes that as long as Vi keeps defining her life by guilt of turning Powder into Jinx, she will never focus on being happy with Caitlyn, so that's the motivation behind Jinx faking her death.

Jinx says it about Vi, '' your never gonna give up on me arent you?'' Jinx recognised then that VI is aleays gonna chase after a Powder that Jinx itself recognised is gone. She cant be living as Powder but she also cant live a Jinx as she will always be reminder of what was lost. Also Remember what Jinx says to here sister . You dont have to feel guilty to be happy, you Deserve to be with her. I think until her talk with Ekko she wanted to die but Afer his word about 'its not to late to build something new , someone woth building for''. She ally and fight. Also the last dialogue between Vi and Jinx in thier lasr scene togther is also full of meaning. Jinx tell Vi , You cant save him'' being the polar opposite of the end of act one where '' shes only wanted to help'' also her cradling Warwick and pulling the pin. Remember the first body Powder saw after the explosion was Vander's , it symbolise puting her demon finally to rest. Also fun fact since the introduction of Isha Jinx nver has and episode of breakdown with scribble line. The only ''hallucination'' we sse is Silco and always when we see him its giving growth to Jinx, Meanwhile Mylo who is a tormentor is Jinx hallucination or Claggor who is always passive arent present at all .Its something i learned after binged season 2 in one sitting.
If you wanted to hate Maddie even more then pause at the right moment during the scene of her shooting Caitlyn, you can see an impact frame (Mid-frame art that looks like actual art) of her smiling. Mel is an empath so she was actually happy when she shot Caitlyn.
I CALLED IT!!! Maddie and Ambessa working together!!!! And I feel so vindicated now that it was also confirmed by the lead writer!!! Maddie was a plant all along!! - Maddie was the first to beat her chest - Pulled from the car-thing during the memorial attack by huge Shimmer suit dude and NOT killed - Maddie was in bed (god that still makes me sick) trying to get Cait to see Ambessa is trying to “protect them” - Maddie was eaves dropping at the door when Cate & Vi had their argument about Powder - Maddie was carrying the bomb…and also sabotaged it - Maddie showed ZERO remorse or hesitation in pulling the trigger Then there is what Ambessa told Vi in Episode 6...."your absence provided a vacuum I was able to fill." She could have been meaning herself...but it is 100% confirmed now that she meant Maddie. Cait wasn’t anything to Maddie…she was a job.

Apparently there was supposed to be a large portion of Ekko and Jinx scenes before the fight but they got cut because the episode was gonna be too long
I don’t think Jinx intended to sacrifice herself until the moment Vi was holding her hand and she knew Vi wouldn’t let go. Just as how Vi always haunted her, picking her up when all the colors were black, Jinx tells Vi, “Always with you, sis.” Yes, Jinx again chooses for Vi, but at least both of them will live to see another day. Compared to how Jinx originally planned to end herself, she built so much more in her final fight than ever. Not physically, emotionally. Having Vi’s back, fighting side by side in a way she couldn’t have as Powder as a child. Jinx got to fulfill Powder’s childhood dreams, her idealized version of growing up, then she got to change her own course and go off on a different adventure, fulfilling her other dream.
25:31 to 25:33 there’s a pink line going out of the smoke at the top right corner. And the thing that Caitlyn is looking at is actually escape routes for exactly where Jinx is. I DONT BELIEVE THAT SHE IS GONE.
It is nostalgic for me because I have been with her since 2021, I remember losing my mind when I saw the notification that she was going to react to the series, three years later I am still here enjoying her reactions, and it has simply been a great trip with her , I hope to continue accompanying her in the future when the other series come out.
I gotta say Elijah really has the best reaction videos on youtube imo. She actually understands the show and analyzes what she sees. And Caitlyn and Vi gotta be my favourite fictional couple. That ending made me really really happy. I wish we had gotten more scenes with them together tho.

Also, referring to Caitlin's eye, they made it a point to show she closes it while looking through the scope when she was shooting at Embassa. 28:49 If you watch the fall and explosion scene frame by frame, literally for about 3 frames there is a pink streak zipping from the explosion into one of the air ducts. Also, the creators have confirmed that she did survive and is even possibly going to have a cameo (like one of those background character things sprinkled all through Arcane). However, as much as Powder "died" when Isha sacrificed to protect her, Jinx had to "die" so that her sister no longer had to carry the burden of trying to save her. There are a very important set of lines in Episode 8 that are directly related to why Jinx (whatever her name is now) had to "die:" "You're never going to give up on me, are you?" = Vi, the big sis, has wanted to save Jinx the entire time. Even when she was fighting her in S2E3, she could have one punched her, but she hesitated, and the animation in her eyes was "I don't want to do this D: " "You deserve to be with her" = The last little bit of Powder remaining, realizing her sister was deeply in love with Caitlyn and that she would always be a burden on Vi's conscience. "There's no good version of me" = It's not her saying that she can't do good, but that IN THIS SPECIFIC INSTANCE, there was no way for her to avoid burdening Vi. "I'm breaking the cycle" = She finally found the strength to let everything go that tied her down to Zaun, and she thought that she had to actually die for it to be over. Ekko saved her, and showed her that she could break the cycle (time loop = cycle) WITHOUT needing to die. So, when she saw the chance to eliminate a threat to her sister, say goodbye to her father, AND make everyone think she is actually dead so that there is no more burden on anyone's conscience, especially Vi's, she took the chance. That's why she said "Always with ya, sis," INSTEAD OF "Let me go" or "Goodbye sis." She was subtly letting Vi know that she wasn't going to die, but in a way that in Vi's super emotional state, she wouldn't be able to recognize. Also, Vi was screaming on her back when Jinx zipped into the air duct, so she didn't see it happen, so to Vi, her sister really is dead, and she has closed that chapter in her mind, so she can be happy with Cait, hence why she sings/hums happily, if a bit melancholic, for the first time in the entire show right at the end. I swear, the writing in Arcane is/was top notch. Layers upon layers upon layers, all intertwined and meaning three things at once while also being direct and to the point.

You only need one eye to be a sniper, and when Cait is using her rifle she closes her left eye, which is the one that she lost, so the fight didn't really affect her ability as a sniper.

The real villain in CaitVi's love story seems to always be Maddie. She takes advantage of Cait when she's most vulnerable and ultimately betrays her. I'm so glad she met her end, it’s ironically justified that she died from the very bullet she fired at Cait. Truly, her fate was her karma. 😊

Farewell to Arcane With a total runtime of around 14 hours, those are undoubtedly some of the most remarkable 14 hours of my life. Arcane isn’t flawless, nor is it perfect, but that’s more than enough for it to secure a place as a masterpiece. "There is beauty in imperfections." Personally, I’d say it’s the best animated series I’ve ever seen. Regarding the deaths of several main characters, I initially appreciated the creators’ bold decision to kill off champions from the game. If Runeterra is to expand further whether through series, animations, live-action films, or other mediums it can’t be constrained by the idea that certain characters are untouchable simply because they’re in the game. Over time, viewers would start predicting that certain characters won’t die because they’re in the game, and the thrill of wondering whether a character will survive or not would gradually fade away. However, I’ve started to doubt how many of these characters are truly gone. At first, I thought Heimerdinger might be the only one permanently dead, but we never saw a body (and he’s a Yordle after all). If the rule “no body = not dead” applies, then most of the characters lack definitive deaths except perhaps Ambessa, though even she could potentially be resurrected. The way Christian Linke answered questions so open-ended makes me think Arcane is intended as a foundation or starting point for the League of Legends universe, which will be adapted, modified, and expanded using Arcane’s characters as the narrative focus. It’s easier to tell new stories using characters the audience already knows and loves. Here’s where I think the story could go Heimerdinger might have been warped to Bandle City, serving as a gateway to explore the Yordle side of the universe. Mel could be used to delve into Noxus and Ionia’s storylines. Ambessa might return through resurrection or an epic escape from the dimension of death perhaps in a scenario akin to the Blood, Sweat & Tears MV. Jayce and Viktor might travel through timelines, searching for one where their fates aren’t so grim. Viktor’s solo attempts have failed so far, but with Jayce’s help, they might succeed. This could connect them to champions with immense power or rich histories from other parts of Runeterra. Vander’s body could have been retrieved by Singed for further experiments, transforming him fully into Warwick. This could also pave the way for Singed to create other champions fans are eager to see. Jinx might find herself in a Demacia storyline, perhaps caught in chaos and becoming "friends" with Lux, forming an unexpected bond amidst the turmoil. And of course, if the story revisits Piltover and Zaun, characters like Caitlyn, Vi, and Ekko would likely take the lead again. These fan favorites have received overwhelmingly positive feedback, and it’s hard to imagine the creators leaving them behind. A continuation might focus on investigating cases tied to yettoappear champions. it might take a while though.
If Jinx is alive and going to Damacia next, I really hope she interacts with two people in particular: Lux, cause I always shipped em but understand if they want to stick with her and echo (and it may be too similar a vibe to Cait and vi so they might want to avoid that too I suppose) but even of they're just a friendship that would be awesome! The other for me Kayle, the Angelic Avatar of Justice, who brutally punishes anyone who commits any sort of crime. And if she returns to runeterra and looks into Jinx's soul and sees all of her sins...
I know that a lot of people are complaining about the fast pacing of this season, but I kinda enjoy it in a way I enjoy movies, which naturally must have much faster pacing than most TV shows... it's simply a very long, outstandingly good movie for me.
Okay, I know Arcane loves its symbolism...but Maddie getting hit with a literal rebound was just hilarious!

Caitlyn losing her eye wasn't just about losing things in war, she was using Ambessa's teachings from Episode 6 to win: "I've discovered a fourth principle. One that heightens all others. Sacrifice."
She chose to sacrifice her eye to be able to reach and remove Ambessa's Kaenic Rookern (the anti-magic item that protected her from Mel) 😢
What kills me is that If you think about it, you literally can t think of a timeline where Jayce and Viktor live happily. Viktor always dies of illness without meeting Jayce and inventing hextech, and Jayce always commits s*icide without meeting Viktor and inventing hextech (hence why they aint in the alternate universe without hextech)...
In a way we saw their "happiest" timeline, which is a tragedy in itself, coz if they dont meet they die, if they meet they cause death

Shout out to the real winner of Arcane, Singed. Mans is an absolute legend. Starts off by having to Mr. Freeze his dying daughter. To save her, he begins researching highly controversial means of recovery/augmentation. Ends up creating Shimmer, the most influential tech in the show aside from Hextech (maybe), and sells the recipe for a sweet lab. Steals Vander and tranforms him into Warwick. Trades Warwick to Ambessa for a position of power. Leverages that into a play with Viktor (my protege btw). Helps him complete the Glorious Evolution and then has his daughter revived by the Machine Herald. Glorious.

Ambessa had such Noxian mentality, but you can tell she did have love for Mel conflicting with her need for total control. "You are the wolf" was like Ambessa saying "I am proud of you / I love you." It was so touching when she finally understood Mel's strength in this world, and it sold me on her character and she is one of my favorite antagonists in a while. A believable anti-villain that I don't feel weird about liking.

She's still a villain guys. It's not at all weird to like her as a character, but she was still a warmonger who invaded piltover and zaun, ready to doom their people either to death or the Glorious Evolution, for purely self-serving reasons. Her worldview doesn't contain any concept of justice aside from "eye for an eye" retribution, which is how her Noxian feud spills over to another region in the first place. She is objectively evil

Seeing Vi zone out and cry over Vander’s body… Jinx finally gets how much pain Vi was in. “You can’t save him.” And Vi still doesn’t respond. And then we get the shot of Vander’s bleeding head from Vi’s perspective that night! We, the audience were on the left, but now we see from Vi’s POV on the right.
Jinx finally understands how Vi is not as invincible as she thought. She knows now Vi didn’t consciously choose to slap her that night, she was mentally overwhelmed with the pain of losing Vander. That reframing of the events that night is just gorgeous!
Viktor and Jayce's storyline was impeccable. Some of the most beautiful animation I've ever seen.

Maddie was never a traitor, she’s Noxian and infiltrated Piltover’s enforcers. She pretended to be someone who could get close to Cait without any suspicion, and waited for instructions. That’s why she was the first “Pilti” to start doing the Noxian salute when Ambessa was turning Cait into a dictator. She played the calming voice opposite to Ambessa’s warmongering, but never was outright defiant. And when Cait flipped, she was going to try to turn her back, then spied on the couple’s conversation. Cait may have used her as a physical rebound, but she played the lovestruck aid to stay above suspicion and stay close in case Ambessa activated her… then during the battle she sabotaged the bomb before handing it over and stuck next to Cait to make her move.
I’m both impressed at how cold she was, and very happy about how she basically shot herself when she was aiming to paralyse Cait for a more painful death (she was aiming at the base of the skull and spine instead of the back of the head) and smiled when she pulled the trigger.
Maddie is Noxian Warmason , Just that , Its her role.

Salo said that they have someone spying on Caitlyn in her private life. It was Maddie all the time. They knew Cait would become compromised because of Vi. "The one who captured Caitlyn's heart", as Ambessa stated it. That's not common knowledge among the people. Only few knew.....

And odds are she was initially planted there to get close to Cait and keep tabs on not just her but her and her mother (think of the job Cruz did in the first season of Lioness) because it would have been an easy way to keep an eye on a councillor who is also the head of one of the most formidable families in Piltover. Then Jinx happened and Maddie’s role became more pivotal. That’s probably why she “cozied up” to Vi on first meeting. Lying about how Cait vouched for her (not that Cait didn’t argue for Vi to get allowed in the enforcers, she probably did… but she wouldn’t throw her weight or family name around to get her way) and fangirling. I could imagine her trying to cause strife between Cait and Vi subtly if they hadn’t broken up, or tried to use Vi’s typically more impulsive nature to keep them invested in the conflict between the cities. Any tactic to complete her mission.
In the very first episode of the show, Powder saw a blimp and said "One day, I'm gonna ride one of those things." I strongly believe she's still alive. That last shot is there for a reason.

Vi keep chasing' the ''powder'' version of Jinx. She even said it herself.'' if you take your talent and use it for good maybe we can REWRITE, your story. the point being Rewrite not write an new story. I can't believe this is the end of Arcane. I first found Elijah through her Arcane reactions and can't believe it's now over. So grateful to have been along for the ride.
Ambessa's last words are actually really beautiful. The one thing she feared is that Mel wouldn't have the strength and instinct needed to keep herself safe. "You are the wolf" - She's finally able to face what the world has in store for her.

I think Maddie was always a spy.
When we first meet Maddie, she was a "junior officer" which means she was a new recruit. Probably one of many new recruits to join after Jinx's attack. This leads me to believe she was planted by Ambessa to be an agent on the Enforcers for her. After all she was the first to pound her chest to encourage Cait to take power. This would mean then, that she took advantage of Cait's breakup with Vi to move in and get even closer to her, becoming Cait's right hand. Of course on the surface she acted like she was against Ambessa, with Ambessa likewise acting like she was annoyed by Maddie's presence, but that was likely a ploy to avoid suspicion (Ambessa is VERY cunning after all).
As a note: look up the black and white flash frame as Maddie shoots Cait. You can see an evil grin on her face, indicating her true feelings.

Technically, he’s also the reason Powder/Jinx ends up experimenting with Hextech in the first place, in all timelines is seems. When Vi lives, Powder kills the rest of her family with the unstable orbs and goes on to make a Hextech weapon for Silco. When Vi dies, she hides the orbs, but we see she still has them at the end of the alt episode, and she helped Ekko make a mini time machine with those little shards before he left. Oh, and in that timeline Vander is telling her she’s not living up to her potential. Vi (and Mylo) created Jinx and Singed pumps her full of Shimmer, but Ekko gives her Hextech.
To be fair, Cait looks badass with the eye patch, and she kinda needs just one eye to be a sniper. Eye for saving the world+Hot GF seems like a great deal
Cait shoots right-handed. Therefore, she uses her right eye to aim. She'll be fine. And, canonically, Jinx will head to Demacia and become good friends with Lux

Some people are cross-dominant, but your point still stands. Cait is right-eye dominant, so losing the left will simply force her to adjust, not give up shooting altogether.

The end was so good! Seeing Vi happy after all her struggles was so relieving, and I refuse to think Jinx is dead😭I can’t wait for the next show
Jinx probably isnt dead with all these common sense theories about her alive, but riot said he can neither confirm or deny so🤷
I've sometimes seen people complain that Maddie's betrayal came out of nowhere. However, it was subtly foreshadowed since Act One. Whilst Caitlyn was leading her Strike Team in the Undercity, Salo complained to Ambessa that all he could do was wait for updates about Caitlyn's activities - which implied there was someone on the inside providing them information. And given that the strike team operated independently, it had to be one of them.
Also, in Episode 8, we saw Maddie eavesdropping on Caitlyn and Vi's conversation. People might have assumed she was being jealous and/or trying to suss out the status of their relationship. Except, that wasn't the topic of the conversation at all, and Maddie's eavesdropping was to find out their plans against Ambessa and what forces they likely had (e.g. whether Jinx was likely to be in play).
Yeah. At first I hated the fact that Maddie is a Noxian spy, because it feels like a RonTheDeathEater trope wish fulfillment for people who wants to see her turn evil so she can be killed for the audacity of getting in between the VioLyn. Then I realized in a show this short that must be the plan all along and never the writers just giving in to the audience wishes.
but Now I'm perplexed as to why would Maddie say things that seemingly counteracts Ambessa's plans? Why not send her as a spy wo seduce Caitlyn to agree even more to her plans?
@@ouwejongen7526 Probably because Caitlyn isn't dumb and so, would probably have been suspicious - and would definitely have been out-of-character - for her to have fallen for someone simply echoing Ambessa's talking points. Caitlyn's softer side has always been there, with her second-guessing her more ruthless actions based on what Vi said, rather than anything Maddie said. Instead, Maddie's comments seem geared to be ineffectual - Caitlyn contemplates being aggressive and shares it with Maddie, Maddie then retorts along the lines of "okay, Ambessa", cue Caitlyn doubling down thinking "no, I'm doing this because I think it's a good idea not because it's what Ambessa thinks is a good idea".

After so much pain, Vi finally gets to be happy, free, and safe with her cupcake. It's so perfect that they made that the final scene. It's healing for the audience too.

After everything VI had suffered and lost throughout these two seasons she deserved to be happy and be with her cupcake I truly hope VI and Caitlin live a long and happy life together so thank you to the production team for finally giving us a Sapphic couple that makes it to the end and get there happily ever after together
Somebody else pointed out, Mel didn't shield Caitlyn, she put it around Maddie so no matter which direction the bullet deflected it would always wind up hitting her. Unlike when she directly shielded Caitlyn and it deflected at a guard later. Bit of a subtle detail I'd missed the first time.
At the last scene of the airship flying into the unknown. In S1 ep1 Jinx once’s said that she would fly one of the airships. And now Jinx has fulfilled her wish, broke the cycle of killing and is moving on to pursue a new and happier life for her.

"This world is a wasteland, please let me go", in the beginning it's a song about suicide, but with the end HEAVILY implying that Jinx survived and escaped, it's about how she's done with everything in Zaun and Piltover and just wants to leave to start a new life.
The song also ends with "don't let me go".
I have to disagree with the last part because it's more complex than that - Jinx realizes that as long as Vi keeps defining her life by guilt of turning Powder into Jinx, she will never focus on being happy with Caitlyn, so that's the motivation behind Jinx faking her death.

Jinx says it about Vi, '' your never gonna give up on me arent you?'' Jinx recognised then that VI is aleays gonna chase after a Powder that Jinx itself recognised is gone. She cant be living as Powder but she also cant live a Jinx as she will always be reminder of what was lost. Also Remember what Jinx says to here sister . I think until her talk with Ekko she wanted to die but Afer his word about 'its not to late to build something new , someone woth building for''. She ally and fight. Also the last dialogue between Vi and Jinx in thier lasr scene togther is also full of meaning. Jinx tell Vi , You cant save him'' being the polar opposite of the end of act one where '' shes only wanted to help'' also her cradling Warwick and pulling the pin. Remember the first body Powder saw after the explosion was Vander's , it symbolise puting her demon finally to rest. Also fun fact since the introduction of Isha Jinx nver has and episode of breakdown with scribble line. The only ''hallucination'' we sse is Silco and always when we see him its giving growth to Jinx, Meanwhile Mylo who is a tormentor is Jinx hallucination or Claggor who is always passive arent present at all .Its something i learned after binged season 2 in one sitting.
If you wanted to hate Maddie even more then pause at the right moment during the scene of her shooting Caitlyn, you can see an impact frame (Mid-frame art that looks like actual art) of her smiling. Mel is an empath so she was actually happy when she shot Caitlyn.

Then there is what Ambessa told Vi in Episode 6...."your absence provided a vacuum I was able to fill." She could have been meaning herself...but it is 100% confirmed now that she meant Maddie.

Apparently there was supposed to be a large portion of Ekko and Jinx scenes before the fight but they got cut because the episode was gonna be too long
I don’t think Jinx intended to sacrifice herself until the moment Vi was holding her hand and she knew Vi wouldn’t let go. Just as how Vi always haunted her, picking her up when all the colors were black, Jinx tells Vi, “Always with you, sis.” Yes, Jinx again chooses for Vi, but at least both of them will live to see another day. Compared to how Jinx originally planned to end herself, she built so much more in her final fight than ever. Not physically, emotionally. Having Vi’s back, fighting side by side in a way she couldn’t have as Powder as a child. Jinx got to fulfill Powder’s childhood dreams, her idealized version of growing up, then she got to change her own course and go off on a different adventure, fulfilling her other dream.
I truly hope Arcane returns with its third season, I’m not ready to say goodbye to CaitVi and their beautiful story. ❤

It is nostalgic for me because I have been with her since 2021, I remember losing my mind when I saw the notification that she was going to react to the series, three years later I am still here enjoying her reactions, and it has simply been a great trip with her , I hope to continue accompanying her in the future when the other series come out.
I gotta say Elijah really has the best reaction videos on youtube imo. She actually understands the show and analyzes what she sees. And Caitlyn and Vi gotta be my favourite fictional couple. That ending made me really really happy. I wish we had gotten more scenes with them together tho.
What an amazing journey, glad to have traveled it with you. Also, referring to Caitlin's eye, they made it a point to show she closes it while looking through the scope when she was shooting at Embassa. Not a huge loss there but also brings around the fact that in war there is sacrifice.

28:49 If you watch the fall and explosion scene frame by frame, literally for about 3 frames there is a pink streak zipping from the explosion into one of the air ducts. Also, the creators have confirmed that she did survive and is even possibly going to have a cameo (like one of those background character things sprinkled all through Arcane). However, as much as Powder "died" when Isha sacrificed to protect her, Jinx had to "die" so that her sister no longer had to carry the burden of trying to save her.
There are a very important set of lines in Episode 8 that are directly related to why Jinx (whatever her name is now) had to "die:"
"You're never going to give up on me, are you?" = Vi, the big sis, has wanted to save Jinx the entire time. Even when she was fighting her in S2E3, she could have one punched her, but she hesitated, and the animation in her eyes was "I don't want to do this D: "
"You deserve to be with her" = The last little bit of Powder remaining, realizing her sister was deeply in love with Caitlyn and that she would always be a burden on Vi's conscience.
"There's no good version of me" = It's not her saying that she can't do good, but that IN THIS SPECIFIC INSTANCE, there was no way for her to avoid burdening Vi.
"I'm breaking the cycle" = She finally found the strength to let everything go that tied her down to Zaun, and she thought that she had to actually die for it to be over. Ekko saved her, and showed her that she could break the cycle (time loop = cycle) WITHOUT needing to die.
So, when she saw the chance to eliminate a threat to her sister, say goodbye to her father, AND make everyone think she is actually dead so that there is no more burden on anyone's conscience, especially Vi's, she took the chance. That's why she said "Always with ya, sis," INSTEAD OF "Let me go" or "Goodbye sis." She was subtly letting Vi know that she wasn't going to die, but in a way that in Vi's super emotional state, she wouldn't be able to recognize. Also, Vi was screaming on her back when Jinx zipped into the air duct, so she didn't see it happen, so to Vi, her sister really is dead, and she has closed that chapter in her mind, so she can be happy with Cait, hence why she sings/hums happily, if a bit melancholic, for the first time in the entire show right at the end.
I swear, the writing in Arcane is/was top notch. Layers upon layers upon layers, all intertwined and meaning three things at once while also being direct and to the point.

Three years ago, this show brought you and Mosco together. That makes me less sad to see the show end because you two are still happy together.
notice how in the end Vi's cheeks are a little chubbier because she's eating 3 full meals a day (and has a warm bed and can finally live for herself without guilt 😭) and ALSO we can see her wearing less and less bandages and opening her hands a little more (like she always has them in closed fists but when Caitlyn holds her hand in this episode, she softly opens them to hold her back) and in the last scene, for the first time, SHE'S NOT WEARING ANY BANDAGES AT ALL like Vi deserves this so much i'm gonna cry

You only need one eye to be a sniper, and when Cait is using her rifle she closes her left eye, which is the one that she lost, so the fight didn't really affect her ability as a sniper.

The real villain in CaitVi's love story seems to always be Maddie. She takes advantage of Cait when she's most vulnerable and ultimately betrays her. I'm so glad she met her end, it’s ironically justified that she died from the very bullet she fired at Cait. Truly, her fate was her karma. 😊

Farewell to Arcane
With a total runtime of around 14 hours, those are undoubtedly some of the most remarkable 14 hours of my life. Arcane isn’t flawless, nor is it perfect, but that’s more than enough for it to secure a place as a masterpiece. "There is beauty in imperfections." Personally, I’d say it’s the best animated series I’ve ever seen.
Regarding the deaths of several main characters, I initially appreciated the creators’ bold decision to kill off champions from the game. If Runeterra is to expand further whether through series, animations, live-action films, or other mediums it can’t be constrained by the idea that certain characters are untouchable simply because they’re in the game. Over time, viewers would start predicting that certain characters won’t die because they’re in the game, and the thrill of wondering whether a character will survive or not would gradually fade away. However, I’ve started to doubt how many of these characters are truly gone. At first, I thought Heimerdinger might be the only one permanently dead, but we never saw a body (and he’s a Yordle after all). If the rule “no body = not dead” applies, then most of the characters lack definitive deaths except perhaps Ambessa, though even she could potentially be resurrected. The way Christian Linke answered questions so open-ended makes me think Arcane is intended as a foundation or starting point for the League of Legends universe, which will be adapted, modified, and expanded using Arcane’s characters as the narrative focus. It’s easier to tell new stories using characters the audience already knows and loves. Here’s where I think the story could go
Heimerdinger might have been warped to Bandle City, serving as a gateway to explore the Yordle side of the universe.
Mel could be used to delve into Noxus and Ionia’s storylines. Ambessa might return through resurrection or an epic escape from the dimension of death perhaps in a scenario akin to the Blood, Sweat & Tears MV. Jayce and Viktor might travel through timelines, searching for one where their fates aren’t so grim. Viktor’s solo attempts have failed so far, but with Jayce’s help, they might succeed. This could connect them to champions with immense power or rich histories from other parts of Runeterra. Vander’s body could have been retrieved by Singed for further experiments, transforming him fully into Warwick. This could also pave the way for Singed to create other champions fans are eager to see. Jinx might find herself in a Demacia storyline, perhaps caught in chaos and becoming "friends" with Lux, forming an unexpected bond amidst the turmoil. And of course, if the story revisits Piltover and Zaun, characters like Caitlyn, Vi, and Ekko would likely take the lead again. These fan favorites have received overwhelmingly positive feedback, and it’s hard to imagine the creators leaving them behind. A continuation might focus on investigating cases tied to yettoappear champions. it might take a while though.
If Jinx is alive and going to Damacia next, I really hope she interacts with two people in particular:
Lux, cause I always shipped em but understand if they want to stick with her and echo (and it may be too similar a vibe to Cait and vi so they might want to avoid that too I suppose) but even of they're just a friendship that would be awesome!
The other for me Kayle, the Angelic Avatar of Justice, who brutally punishes anyone who commits any sort of crime. And if she returns to runeterra and looks into Jinx's soul and sees all of her sins...
I know that a lot of people are complaining about the fast pacing of this season, but I kinda enjoy it in a way I enjoy movies, which naturally must have much faster pacing than most TV shows... it's simply a very long, outstandingly good movie for me.
