A well built engine and one of the best tuners around = 6 second passes.Great job to all the guys at real street performance.#realstreetperformancealltheway.
Great work guys. Jay is one of the most knowledgeable guys around when it comes to the 2j platform he’s always the first guy who comes to mind. Methanol is such a crazy fuel. Also I may add geo you are looking great buddy keep it up.
Great question with an often overlooked answer. Firstly there is a long list of 2jz powered cars that run 5's in the quarter mile. The 6 second 4cyl cars, and the 5 second 6cyl cars are dry blocks with no coolant/water, no charging system, many of them are composite body shells over tube chassis, purpose built track cars that cannot be driven on the street. Those cars can only run for a few seconds before they either over heat from not having a cooling system, or lose battery power from not having a charging system. This car was built to compete in a yearly event called Drag Week that involves 1000 miles of street driving while pulling a race trailer, over 5 days and stopping to race at 5 tracks along the way. (check out our drag week videos for more on this). There are some compromises that have to be made when the car has to be able to be street driven over long distances. This car has a substantial cooling system, a traditional th400 automatic transmission, stock style suspension in the front, and runs a drag radial tire. These changes add weight, and limit the amount of power we can turn up to. The short answer is that the cars are built for different classes. But if you want to watch some 5 second 2jz cars there are a lot of them on youtube to check out.
That dragint car is no joke... to pass you guys... hats off to geo and Larry great way to end it

We use a dry sump.
Love the sound of that engine Geo and Jay. What fuel are you running? Still on E?
He said methanol in the beginning
Yes we use methanol on this car now.

@@curtisvickers6332 fair enough!!!!!
That car is an amazing machine.
Hey man I think your exhaust is very restricted. -Nobody 😂
Nice runs
It's absolutely amazing how your supra isn't all over the strip with that kind of power. Some proper skills with the setup and driving right there 👍
So the fastest 4 cyl is in the low 6 seconds, this car is a 6 cyl and why is it not in the 5's with 2 extra pistons ??

@@realstreetperformance well you answered my question 👍
Everybody uses harbor freight jacks 😂
They are almost as good as the brands they rip off and are 1/3 the price.
