- In this story, the nomadic life of Sakineh and her son Amir Mohammad is portrayed as a tale of resilience and determination in the face of adversity. Despite facing eviction from a rented house due to financial constraints, Sakineh and her son find themselves homeless and seeking refuge in the mountains. When Amir Mohammad decides to seek work elsewhere, Sakineh and her daughter Ghazaleh begin the daunting task of building a new home from scratch.
Through sheer hard work and determination, Sakineh and Ghazaleh embark on the construction of their dream house, realizing that their current living conditions are inadequate. Despite encountering obstacles such as water leakage and lack of resources, they persevere in their efforts to create a better life for themselves.
The narrative takes an unexpected turn when Sakineh bravely decides to confront the issue of land ownership, leading to a confrontation with the true owner, Agha Akbar. In a surprising display of generosity and compassion, Akbar not only assists Sakineh in acquiring the land but also provides support in the form of clothing and employment opportunities for her and Ghazaleh.
This heartwarming story highlights the power of kindness, determination, and community support in overcoming challenges and building a brighter future. Sakineh please sleep in the house, you are so close to finishing it. You can still cook outside till kitchen is complete. You and your daughter are sleeping on a dirty dusty rug which the chickens run on, your pillows will be full of dust and you will be inhaling that dust.Also the dust from the wheat when cut is also hazardous if you inhale too much. You have been living and sleeping right by the fields.This is not healthy for both of you. Today Your daughter got a small cut but you did not clean it properly and she did not wash her hands or face or change her dirty clothes. This could lead to her small cut becoming infected.
You need to return to your Doctor or go to the hospital for a checkup.
If possible you should have a new rug, pillows and blankets when you move into the house.
