It certainly is t perfect but I can look at that figure and say “ok, that’s the David from Lost Boys.” I don’t think many people could do that with the Sideshow one.
@@12InchFigureFanatic - While I agree that the face sculpt could be better, I love the hair! I still may get this Sideshow figure. I personally think your custom figure face sculpt looks more like David Beckham! LOL! No offense!
It’s very bizarre to me that these companies can be that far off from the preview pics. It’s like they aren’t even using the original head sculpt for the mold
With pre-ordering being such a prominent part of the purchase landscape now, they probably feel less pressure to strive for perfection. They’re probably thinking “well they already bought it before we made it and they’re locked in either way” VS the old days when we didn’t buy a figure until its release and saw the final product in making that decision.
That face sculpt looks like a manga character and it looks cheap when it's not ... Will hot toys make one or do they have a deal with sideshow on who releases what ? Do you save your money in hope hot toys make one . ?
I doubt hot toys will approach the opportunity to do him, not only because sideshow already did and is partnered pretty closely with them, but because they’re more focused on the marvel and Star Wars saga characters.
The Sideshow head sculpt isn’t great (not awful), but it’s a mile better than the custom. The vampire head sculpt is actually pretty decent.
Man I really want this to be good, better, s I can justify buying it
The custom one dosent even look like kiefer either hahah

@@12InchFigureFanatic true, it just seems like if you had a great sculpt for the preview, why not use it and build your reputation with the customers?

Unfortunately, we can't trust sideshow. They always do figures halfway through. Decent but far from great!
The custom figure looks nothing like David as well ..between the sideshow and your custom ..sideshow wins imo ...they both suck tbh
