Fun Fact: Mamamoo were the first artists to feature on Killing Voice when dingo came up with the idea for the series. Yup, it started with Mamamoo. Maybe that's why it might be slightly shorter as the series evolved. But they definitely made a great choice! lol

Thank you for continuing your Mamamoo journey. This is the first of the Killing Voice series and you heard the reason they started here. Mamamoo are the best vocals in Kpop and I'll put them up against any pop vocalist anywhere. There are MV's for all of these songs except I Miss You, but the Queendom performance of I Miss you is out there and safe to react to.
Yep, they deserve to be called the best here! The power they hold with their vocals and charm combined is crazy..

There originally wasnt a killing voice. But Solar wanted to do a killing verse (the original segment intended for rappers) so she managed to convince them to create this segment for singers/idols. Mamamoo once again setting trends

Edit to add, Moonbyul has a song that referenced the Moonstar vs Monster wordplay, and looking at the number of BG albums you have at the back, I'd think you might enjoy the song. It's called Eclipse, and MAMAMOO did something amazing with it during their most recent group concert (MY CON world tour concert). :D

I used to not like Kpop that much, just a fave here and there. Then I listened to Mamamoo, I didn't expect that I can't and wouldn't want to get out of this Rabbit Hole, I can't even pick a fave, such amazing Vocal Queens.

Every song in this medley has a MV except for 'i miss you'. There are some great live performances of this song, the best one (in my opinion) is the one from queendom.

The first song is called Mr Ambiguous, which was their debut single in 2014. Starry Night was also titled in Korean. Here's the list:
Mr Ambiguous, Egotistic, Decalcomanie, Starry Night, Wind Flower, I Miss You, Hip, Gogobebe, Dingga, Aya.
Four of these songs were the title tracks from Mamamoo's landmark four album series called 4 Season 4 Color, which is the most complex, ambitious project ever done by a girl group. In chrono order - Starry Night, Egotistic, Wind Flower, Gogobebe.
The line in Gogobebe that you thought was Illella was actually 일루와 (illuwa), which means Come here. They often make references to earlier songs but this isn't one of them.
"They just do what the hell they want." Oh, you noticed? lol Mamamoo's first album included a self-composed solo song by Hwasa called I Do Me. If the group was going to pick a motto that would be a contender. Btw, the fandom does have a motto: Never Letting Go!

There is so much to learn about them! I think I need to start checking out their older stuff when I get to the MVs after the guide, which I'm planning to do first. It's very empowering getting to know them. Sexiness aside, they really got the right attitude that's also attractive in a different way!

Mamamoo comes for all of our sanity. I found Hwasa first and then went down the Mamamoo rabbit hole. I fell in love very hard and never recovered. Now I can't chose a bias because all 4 members are so unique and so great.

FYI, 일루와(Illuwa) in GOGOBEBE means 'come here' and 일낼라(Illella) in ILLELLA represents as 'We are back to make it big/We might make it big/Something might happen OR we might cause a problem/we might give rise to some trouble". No direct translation for this Korean phrase. Any question about Korean phrases, I'm here!
