I'm pretty sure that the game was only different because the animators accidentally deleted the stone on L5. If you compare the position at 11:17 ("in the video") with the position at 10:49, the black stone at L5 (played at 10:43) has just been removed. If you put the black stone back at L5 at time 11:17, then the later moves (e.g. Black K6 at 11:22) actually make sense again.

It's a pretty good dub tbh. Hikaru's voice is the only one that I can see being annoying to begin with, but he's annoying in the Japanese too and he grows on you. It's very much just his character at the start.

Yeah Hikaru no Go has numerous mistakes in the Go positions and the moves don't make sense sometimes. As in this case, you can often tell where there should be a stone, and then everything makes sense.
lol Goku voice... These voices don't suit them. One of the things with English-dub anime is you have the same people voicing too many different characters, not enough voice actors.
