The refs let the game get out of control. Unnecessary elbows being thrown, hair pulling, etc. If Flaujae kept her composure after Lay stole her ball, this prolly wouldn’t have even happened fr. K Mill deffly let her emotions get the best of her tho. Nonetheless, SC got the dub.

Doesn’t make a difference, Ashlyn didn’t need to get all up and Flau’jae’s face like that, and there’s showing what happened from Flau’jae’s POV and Ashlyn 100% got up in her face. You can’t expect someone not have even a slight reaction to another person getting all rowdy in their face. Flau’jae at that point was just walking back to the bench….3 South Carolina girls started surrounding her, and one of them put their hands on her waist.

I blame the refs for this. They allowed the game to get out of control from the beginning. Angel played really dirty (e.g., pulling Cardoso's hair, unnecessary elbows to the neck/face, etc.). This fight was bound to happen; emotions were very high, and Cadoso was definitely a protector of her teammates. However, her protection will cost USC big time as they start the tournament because they need her on the court!
Not a fan of any just love the game and a few players but she got the busted lip plays before when angel elbows her angel Also pulled kamilla’s hair during the game. So honestly it was build up from bad officiating but both teams we talking and getting in each other face but because they we losing that why flaujae reacted that way and thats how things escalated
I implore everyone to watch the whole game and pay attention. LSU and Angel specifically decided from the get go that this was going to be a chippy game. They were chirping at SC after every foul and basket. There was even a replay in the broadcast where she says to Cardoso "I'm going giving it to you all day". Initially I was excited about the exchange but it turned bad after that.
Once Cardoso got her a few times on the defensive end Angel resorted to throwing elbows, hair pulling and one of those elbows hit Cardoso in the face and lead to an flagrant foul. All this back and for led to the normally reserved SC players matching their energy with the chirping and showboating. I was honestly shocked.
Fast forward to the 2nd half and nothing has changed and SC is starting to pull away. Cardoso takes another elbow from Angel probably 2 minutes before the fight and it goes uncalled. That's when her lips starts bleeding.
With a 7 point lead and 2 minutes to go that Flau'jae intentional foul basically all but sealed that SC would win the game. SC matching the same chirping that LSU had all game is what you see from Hall and Watkins. That's when Flau'jae pushes Watkins and Cardoso retaliates. Cardoso is usually willing to take blows from opposing teams no problem, but when it comes to her teammates she sees red unfortunately.
Whose at fault, everybody. The officials let a lot of non basketball activity go on all game. LSU for chirping excessively and participating in dirty tactics, especially when they no longer had the lead and for SC for falling for the bait and matching their energy and letting the emotions get the best of them.
Personally I have no sympathy for LSU, glad Flau'jae is ok. They've more or less done this to teams all season long but for once met their match. It's no fun when the rabbit got the gun. Hopefully going forward both teams can keep things strictly basketball and save the chirping for the post game ceremony.
Angel did all her damage during the game. Pulling hair and hitting Cardoso in the mouth. She should have had 2 intentional fouls instead of one. Angel is no angel. You drawing conclusions off highlights.
Neither one of those players are angels. They both did their wrong in the game! It dont justify that one was right over the other. They both were wrong!

This issue developed throughout the game. A great deal of poor sportsmanship by both squads as they hate each other. Angel Reece was by far the worst offender throughout the game. A great play by SC to steal the ball and probably clinch the game and the LSU player intentionally fouled. The foul was warranted but not the push as she was walking away, and that is when KC leveled her. KC was wrong and was properly ejected for fighting and will not play in the next game. The brother who assaulted a staff member as he jumped over the table was a moron and was properly arrested. BTW these are not children, they are adults and are accountable for their actions, making excuses is BS and is probably why they act out so much. I have watched Reece closely and she tends to play a little dirty.

Bri and Ashlyn were just celebrating. I think LSU does it often where they celebrate near their opponent and their opponents just walk away normally. Ashlyn and Bri were excited and celebrated near Big Fo and Big Fo was emotional as well and shoved Watkins away from her. The shove to Watkins triggered Cardoso. Car doesn’t play about her teammates/sisters at all. Jumping over a barrier that's already against policy and then touching a player is crazy. it would be more crazy for him not to be arrested. Kamilla got her lip bust after Angel hit her with her forearm about two minutes before the fight, a timeout was not called in so she just had a busted lip till this happened.
LSU got away with SO much that game. Down to how the "fight" was officiated. HVL got away with pushing Camilla. Flau got away with the push to Watkins. Watkins was just celebrating as she headed back to the bench. She wasn't even looking at Flau. She was looking past Flau. That's why she had to change her line of sight to Flau after the push. LSU wouldn't have had enough players to even finish the game.

I have high respect for the LSU players and I think they get a bad rap and this was unfortunate and got out of hand. But it can sometimes happen and the penalties were fair and the game continued. One coach apologized, the other not so much. But it was a great game and we move on from there. I only hope the press, the fans and the universities involved take whatever action they deem necessary and not make it the focus of the upcoming tournament.

If you watch the whole game, It was the refs fault, the non calls on both sides, and the chirping and hair pulling before (no joke, just look up angel pulling Kamilla Cardoso hair) this just boiled over. I'm a SC fan from sc, but you could just feel this was going to happen almost the start. Not a good look for either team, but come on. You let true competitors loose, sometimes things like this happen.

Most of the South Carolina fans are upset about Cardoso being villianized, are not the casual fan. They are the fans that have tried to protect LSU because they are kids. Yes, Cardosa deserved her penalty, but she is not a bully. In protecting Cardoso from being villainized they had to relate when was really going on. These South Carolina fans bought tickets and saw all the games. These are the fans that watch the replays of all the games thoroughly. SC fans have lead the nation in attendance in attendance the last nine years. Dawn is hands on and her players are very much in the community. Some of the players are from SC and we know their families. LSU can dish, it but they can't take it. Could not handle a team that could match their energy and acted uncharacteristically with all the extra elbows and pulling of hair. So honestly all the fair weather fans who have not watch the game and the film of the game is not helping LSU because there is plenty of proof of them taking it too far, because you are not dealing with casual fans you dealing with fans that have receipts.

Yes every game this season. Angel has elbowed someone some type of way. Others were throwing elbows. Bumping SC players. Flau' jae likes to call people out their own name and taunt. It started off with Angel talking smack to SC bench. Then escalated into player on player bulling. Why don't you do one on Kim Old School Country's comments in the press conference after the game. At least SC coach apologized. Cardoso apologized on X. Kim sounded like a ghetto bumpkin. Even some of her old players from yester year speaks badly about her. So don't care about her players.
