If you live in a colder climate, would you leave the rose in the container through the next winter after planting? Is this something that would need to be stored in a garage/shed after the initial year or could it be left on a patio? We are in KS, zone 6a/6b. Thanks!
The rule of thumb I learned is it has to be two zones colder tolerant than where you are to survive potted without being brought in. I know I tried going only one zone hardier in a protected southern facing location and lost it. I’m 6A. I do have other plants that follow the 2 zone rule though and they do just fine in pots out and exposed all year long.
@@PallasAthenaXIII Thank you for the tip! That is super helpful. I wish I lived in a zone 8 so I could do this. All the roses I love are min. zone 6. lol
No root growth in the hole? Just plop it in dirt from your yard and potting soil in top, no compost like I'm real confused. Thank God i got David Austin

What is the Diameter of the rose pot you are using ?
Seems like the container, from end to end, is a finger to elbow's length. 20-24 inches?
I agree this video is not pretty clear. My soil is clay, no way I’m using it in my pot.
No mixing,???
