In surah Baqara ayah no 5.. We have a preposition علىٰ but the noun that comes after it is in the 2nd case. Its like علىٰ هُدً why its not like علىٰ هُدٍى ? Could you please help me understanding it?
Salam ya Ustadz! I intend to response to “why” question “ why does Ahman helps his parent?” With this sentence in Arabic “هـو وَلاَ يضَيِّعُهـَابالاءعمالِ لا فاءِدةَ لَهُ.”. Shukran khatiran.
Hello and thank you for your lessons. I have learned a lot. I wonder if you would give me your opinion on this. I am learning MSA via Rosetta Stone. I understand that your lessons are classic Arabic and are more for those who intend to study the Kuran. However, I find your lessons very helpful in my learning process of MSA. In your opinion is using your lessons detrimental to my learning of MSA? If so, do you recommend an alternative video series? I know there are significant differences between classic Arabic and MSA. My primary reason for learning Arabic is to be able to have simple conversations with refugees coming to my country. (Canada). Having said that, if time allows in life I would be interested in reading the Kuran someday. Thank you again. May Allah bless you and your family.

I really interested to learn Quranic Arabi please help me, Jazak Allahu Khairan
Assalamualaikum
Is byna in the word " byna yaday" and in only" byna "have same meaning or different meaning ....??
bayna = between
bayna yadayhi = between his hands
Bayna yadayhi → it's literal meaning is between his hands, which translates in English for 'infront of him'
So whenever you read bayna yadayhi, it means infront of him, even though it's literal meaning would be between his hands
Would be good to know which arabic is this
mario jara

Assalamu aly kum. May you please answer a question regarding preposition being connected to it’s following word. هو باِ لجمعت . Here why an extra Alif add to preposition? Thanks a lot for your kind attention and reply.
Sunve Rashid
Its هو بالجمعة
Sunve Rashid
"He is with the group"
Sunve Rashid
Huwa = he
Bi = With
Al = The
Jama'ah = Group
Huwa + Bi + Al + Jama'ah
هو + بِ + ال + جمعة = هو بِالجمعة
Sunve Rashid
The one lettered prepositions remains attached to the following Ism... Always
That's why you say "Wallahi"
Not Wa Allahi
And Laa hawala wa laa quwata illa *billah*
بِ + الله = بِالله
The same way :
بِ + الجمعة = بِالجمعة
Support there was only Bi + Jama'ah (not no Al)
Then also:
بِ + جمعمة = بجمعة
*One-lettered prespostions gets connected with the following ism*
Sunve Rashid
Wa alaikum as salamu wa Rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
Pl start the Quran verse by verse.

Hi
Is preposition make ism to jump into case three..then why it's Al waladu fil baithi instead of baithinn
definite noun. If it was Al waladu (fi instead of fil) then it would be baithinn.
