What Sachs never mentions is the real cause of the US Cold War with Russia, he keeps saying the US wanted dominance but never says why, It's clear the US is doing the same thing with China, The US knows it can't go to war with those countries the reason is clear no one wins and everyone will die,
The only reason Sachs never mentioned is the Dollar Reserve statute it's a leverage they don't want to lose the only countries who can say this is a scam and needs to end are China and Russia,

The Ukraine War was also a business campaign for the military industry. I can only imagine the insane amount of profits those war companies have earned in the past three years. The American economy is partially a war economy, it's no wonder they have been in endless conflicts since the end of WW2, and if there's peace , they made sure conflict needed to be manufactured. There is simply so much money to be made.

Multipolarism doesn't really work. It will usually end with redistributive wars and it will be ordinary people who get the worst of it. The only two times the world was truly multipolar was in 1914 and 1939. We all know how that went. The goal shouldn't be multipolarism, ie. more imperialists who "share" in the exploitation and domination of the working people, but the dismantling of the Capitalist system.

His first term as president and all the warmongering he did back then is the precident. It also makes no sense that the Republican Party under Trump is no longer part of the oligarch-run uniparty that loves war and hegemony. If he really was a threat to this, he would be like Bernie Sanders, and never be allowed to run. The same goes with his economic policies. If his economic populism was real, the oligarchs would prevent him from running.

To change for the better one must acknowledge one's weaknesses. After World War II US have been creating enemies. Much of US resources are used to support regime change in other countries and invading countries. US made money selling weapons to countries around the World. Hence the war related industry grew at the expense of other industries. So much attention and finances were diverted to war mongering effort outside that local needs and developments are being neglected. Whereas in China the opposite happen. In the last 40 years their profits were put to good use to develop the infrastructure of the country. They focus more in developing self sufficiency. Hence they improved trade between countries and were able to support the various important industries and their achievements in a few decades surpassing all expectations. Meanwhile in the US inflation is shrinking the once middle class to poor. People cannot afford to buy US products. They welcome Chinese products which are cheaper.

    • @briskyoungploughboy

Simple. In geopolitical power-struggles between alliances, border states have two choices: 1)Joining a side, and having a reasonable expectation that any future conflict will be confined to the borders of their territory and that of the adversary. 2) Remaining neutral and having absolute certainty that a future conflict will be fought across the entirety of their territory. This certainty would have been pointed out clearly to the newly independent countries of Central / Eastern Europe by the original NATO countries when their membership of NATO was being solicited. It's what we call a 'Hobson's choice'- i.e.a choice made under duress. Finland and Sweden, being border states, are in exactly the same position.

The Ukrainians are not an homogenous peoples. There're Russian Slavs there,
Polish Slavs, Romanian Slavs, etc, etc. The only homogenising factor... they're all Slavs.
And Slavs are deeply tribal and antagonistic towards each other.
The West are supporting the Ukrainian nationalists, using Slavic mistrust and intrinsic dislike of each other.
Only because they despise Putin's regime more than the corrupt nationalists regime.
They want Poland and the rest of the Slavic states to not align themselves or be manoeuvred,
into alignment with China. Seeding hatred of Russia... stops Chinas advance into Eastern Europe.
The US wants Europe to be a strong wall of opposition to Chinas advancing range of fiscal dominance.
Hatred of Putins regime is essential, because of Chinas unwavering support of both,
Russia and Iran ( and N.Korea ). Ukraine and Israel are proxy wars against China ... because,
only China really matters to the West. The outcome of this 'conflict' in Ukraine isn't really important.
Only a 'very bad loss' would disillusion the propagandised population of the West.
And bolster support from other rogue nations... to also fall into Chinas sphere of influence.

Trump Admits His Mideast Policy Guided by Israeli, not American, Interests
    Dec. 19, 2018
Trump has now publicly admitted that - when it comes to U.S. military involvement and covert intervention in the Middle East - he is putting Israel, not America, first.
In a recent interview with the Washington Post, U.S. President Donald Trump publicly stated that his administration's Middle East policy - including the illegal U.S. military occupation of nearly a third of Syria, the administration's adoption of aggressive Iranian sanctions, and Trump's response to murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi - is not driven by his country's interest in oil but instead to benefit the interests of the state of Israel.
Trump made the comment when asked by Post reporter Josh Dawsey about whether or not he supports tougher sanctions against the Saudi government for allegedly being responsible for the death of Khashoggi in early October.

Professor Jef Sachs analysis of the Geopolitica game in play is spot on. The U.S. have 800 military bases on the Eurasian Continent and hundreds of thousands of troops stationed in these bases. They are not playing tiddlywinks. They are actively involved in doing what the NAZI's tried in 1938. The subjugation of the Eurasian Continent. Who the hell do these people think we are. The United States is the most prolific exporter of terrorism on Earth. We are taking in thousands of migrants here in Ireland and the Government are claiming we are neutral country. Six of the counties of the Island of Ireland are in NATO. The British patrol our Airspace and coastal waters. Ireland has a common travel Area with the U.K. and we are inundated with African and migrants who are coming here to break down this country into a racist hateful country. No IPAS Centers. No Racism. Donald Trump: U.S. left troops in Syria 'Only For The Oil'
    Nov. 13, 2019
Donald Trump has insisted the U.S. military presence in Syria is 'only for the oil', contradicting his officials who have maintained that the remaining forces were there to fight Isis. Trump made his remarks while hosting Recep Tayyip Erdogan, just over a month after the Turkish president launched an offensive into north-eastern Syria.

Trump calls Afghanistan bombing a 'Very Successful Mission'
    April 13, 2017
President Donald Trump said he is very proud of the U.S. military after what he called a "very, very successful mission."
Earlier, U.S. forces dropped the largest non-nuclear bomb on an ISIS tunnel complex in Afghanistan.
"Everybody knows exactly what happened and what I do is I authorize my military. We have the greatest military in the world and they've done their job as usual. So, we have given them total authorization," Trump said after meeting with first responders at the White House on Thursday.

If NATO expansion was the primary cause, why putin didn't invade Finland when they joined recently?

    • @wwbren

Didn't anybody inform you about the Minsk Accord and what was happening in East Ukraine to ethnic Russian Ukrainians prior? Russia has repeatedly drawn Ukraine as the redline but Nato chose to ignore. That Putin did not invade Finland is proof that Russia has no designs on Europe beyond Ukraine.

There have been Russian naval bases in Crimea since the time of the Russian Empire, and do you think the Russians should have just left there, giving up this place to NATO?)))

    • @ОльгаЮрс
      @ОльгаЮрс 14 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

And yes, if you still don't know, Finland has never had as many ethnic Russians as Ukraine has. Finland is a foreign country for Russians, and Ukraine has a lot of mixed families and relatives on both sides. So don't confuse business and personal relationships, Russians and Ukrainians have very close ties.

Also what element makes you think that Ukraine was getting into NATO in 2014? There was no discussion for joining NATO after 2008. Unless you count post-2014, which for obvious reasons has relaunched the process.

Donald Trump 'Very Proud' After Dropping 'Mother of All Bombs' on Afghanistan
    April 13, 2017
Donald Trump has said he was "very proud of" dropping the "mother of all bombs" on Afghanistan.
US command used a cargo plane to drop the largest non-nuclear weapon ever used in combat by the American military in Nangarhar province near the Pakistan border - a remote area where members of an Isis affiliate were operating.
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said the bomb targeted tunnels and caves Isis fighters used to "move around freely."

The US oligarchs owe him BIG TIME. Now however, he has drifted from their ideology.

The reality is that a peace conference can be settled in a way that allows the collective West to announce a draw, followed by a DMZ in Central Ukraine. Eastern Ukraine will remain in Russian control. A bitter pill for the West to swallow but better than war to the last Ukrainian.

A bitter pill for the Ukranian people to have to swallow after being attacked, invaded, and raped, you mean? Who cares about the US or the West? Where is the empathy for the innocent people of Ukraine? You erase them by making this about "The West" when that is only a wider background element to those people on the ground defending their home from invaders.
Where is the world's care for the children stolen, kidnapped into Russia? The sovereignty of Ukraine violated, for the second time? Concessions only embolded the bullies, and Russia remains a cruel and repressive place to live. Now Ukraine may become their slave. The West's problem was not responding harshly and right away. Now in their weakness, innocents suffer while fools online make it a football game of "West versus East".

DONALD TRUMP SAYS HE WAS BORN TO BE LOYAL TO ISRAEL
"The only [candidate] that's going to give real support to Israel is me. The rest of them are all talk, no action. They're politicians. I've been loyal to Israel from the day I was born. My father, Fred Trump, was loyal to Israel before me. The only one that's going to give Israel the kind of support it needs is Donald Trump."
    ~Donald Trump, May 9, 2015
