My favorite artist. He’s the prime example in the industry of just being yourself, liking what you like & living without fear & I believe that’s why his growth as an artist is unmatched
The one word I'd use to describe his career would be "growth." His humor grew, his style grew, his music grew, and hell he's probably at least a little taller these days
It’s insane how sonically different every album he has is, especially of late. Even with the multifaceted mix of sounds and ideas, he still manages to make all of his projects cohesive.
Flower boy was the first time he made music that didnt rely on knowing his peronality. The older music i think connected really well if u knew his humour/personality and u knoew that his dark songs were just a joke. But flower boy was just straight good music, his first time having good music lol
I think one thing all tyler fans can agree on in all eras is how much Tyler has improved as a producer. Imo it's better than his rapping by a significant margin. Besides Kanye and Pharrell idk who's touching him in terms of pure range. He can give you rap beats, reggae instrumentals, rock instrumentals, jazz and soul and pop from all different eras of music with and without sampling.

I’m saying in sonic cohesion throughout an album-wise. Cherry bombs tracks were mostly all great, the only problem was the songs had almost nothing to do with each other sonically. It’s a good appetizer platter for Tyler though, seeing almost his entire sonic pallet on one album. Metal, r&b, synths out the ass, rap, you name it it’s probably on cherry bomb.
