- Picked this one up at Lafayette Shooters. The design change on Sebenza 21 gives a more pronounced chamfer on the pivot edge of the handle allowing the knife to be inserted more easily into a pocket or sheath. The engraving of "Classic MM" on the back of the Classic Sebenza will be eliminated, making differentiation of the two models easy! The blade shape remains the same.

Every man owes it to himself to own at least one fine cutting tool. I own many knives, but the Chris Reeve Sebenza is by far my favorite. They're expensive, but worth every penny. Thanks for posting this vid!
watching this vid over and over waiting for money to magicaly get into my bank account i think jesus came back as chris and brought us the perfection and beauty of the PERFECT knife
Just thought I'd mention that after watching your review and many others, I finally went ahead and pulled the trigger on a sebenza. I went with the small micarta 21. Fantastic knife! Thanks for the review, it really helped me out!
Cajunblaze ma boy! been thinking about a seb forever and your video review pushed me over the top. I bought a large 21 and have since sold all my other blades in hopes of picking up a mnandi. These knives have to be handled to be believed. Thanks man
Definitely a work of art Blaze!!! My favorite knife by far!!!
I just got one off ebay. It took me forever to decide between large and small. I wish they made a 'medium'. Obviously I went with the small, and I'm sure I'll love it. Thanks again for another great video.
I just got mine today. It's just a sweet little folder.
that is one beautiful knife. Lovin that style. Great review man!
Best one quality every time
I purchased a small Sebenza with silver thumb stud and spacer from a dealer here in Canada,I haven't been able to take my hands off it for a week.I remember reading about the Sebenza in Blade Magazine back in the mid 90's and thought someday I'd own one.I've got a pretty good collection of quality knives with a couple of handmade customs as well, but the Sebenza,Buck 110, Case Mini Copperlock and Victorinox Pioneer are the four that sit on my dresser.....
After having the small sebenza 21 for almost 2 weeks it has easily become my favorite blade. It's the perfect size for EDC, and the fit and finish is superb.
The only thing I would add is double lugs.
That is one beautiful knife!!! Lucky Lucky Man!
Worked a trade for a large 21! Now it's Mnandi time! Btw the thumbstud can't be swapped to the other side without a press, and it's ultimately pointless. CRK makes dedicated left hand versions of all folders.
beautiful!
Yeah I've had them fade in the past and it's normal, just love em starting out all bright like yours. New Graham has 6 ironwood and 3 snakewood in stock, Plaza Cuterly has camel thorn, and there's a box elder on ebay, so no haven't decided yet haha.
sweet, on my want list immediately .
that mnandi you had in the video was really nice
would keeping the lanyard on, while using the pocket clip cause the knife to fall out? When i tried this knife out, i liked the feel of the lanyard there as a sort of extension of the handle, but i wouldn't want it to be the cause of it falling out of my pocket.
Hi Caj
Bought a new Alias II really disappointed, will sell and look for a Sebenza
This is a sweet knife!!!
They probably just assumed or got some bad info. I can't think of any knife that has a swappable stud. Usually if a knife has a swappable clip it has double studs anyway. But a Sebenza or Mnandi is a design that requires dedicated right and left versions.
I'm seriously on the fence with this one. I can't decide either a small sebenza, or the Sage 2. I'm not sure if i'll use the sebenza after paying $330, but i'm sure i'll be able to get myself to carry the Sage 2 at $150...
So almost 2 years later....... whats your thoughts about the small 21 now or do you still have it ?
You are a lucky man "Mr Blaze" Keep it up.
good knife for every day carring
So, what exactly is the purpose of the dual indents on the inside of the handle, on the clip side? The Mnandi has it too, it's visible on both at 3:51. I've been wondering about that for a long time.
i love my small 21. it didn't come with a lanyard though :(
I am getting one now.
@tahomazz I purchased my Small Sebenza @ True North Knives. They have a really good selection.
@thecajunblaze Oh. what material is the clip?
which would you recomend, small or large?
I don't think the thumbstub is switchable. It looks press-fit. However they do make left-handed Sebenzas as well. And the steel is S35VN, not S30V
S30V was on the old knives
Lovely. There's just something about these knives... I'm debating Seb 21 or Mnandi
How much is a good price for this small sebenza? how bout the large?
@Iceblastr72 where did you buy your 21 please?
i have been wanting to pick up one of these with bloodwood inlays for a long time, i am only 15 and have been caddying all summer to save up for one, do you think a large sebenza is worth the extra sixty bucks, btw i live in illinois and the knife law is 3 inches or less. i have carried a military m390 cf for the past few months and i want to know if i should get a large or small sebenza, thanks
I can't choose between small or large : (
The thumbstud on my new 21 isn't nearly that blue :( and I've seen them so blue before in stores.
Do you own this knife still? I’d love to see the knife.
@@21RIP Yes still have this blade
Yes. It is not a cost, it is an investment (at least, that's the line I fed the wife).
QQ i cant decide between the small sebenza and small sebenza insingo
I wonder why they chose to rivet the handle together instead of using screws... seems like something that is done on much cheaper knives rather than something that costs $300+, unless I am missing something
yes
I want it but dont need it! is it worth all the cash?
What in the world does "Kat dey dant" mean? Just wondering. I've heard that from you before. Oh what about the cooking videos. I love that Cajun cooking!!
@Airoyster im in canada 2 where you pick it up from?
I am dying to gt my hands on this knife. The jimping on the spine looks weak though. Can anyone comment?
Where u gett it for 275?
I have to commend you in your hobby of knives at such a young age. I took to knives when I was 19. Word of advice though, the older you get the more impulsive you become in your knife purchases. So be careful XD
@thecajunblaze Like your attitude cajun. With all the political hate flowing on both sides, a little witty patience is just what we need. Oh, and LOVE that knife.
@thecajunblaze Thanks ,I have a used one in the mail,...Really enjoy your videos ,if you ever get north to Canada stop by ...eh?
even the screw heads are aligned up straight - quality
Hi,
Isnt the small Sebenza a bit too small for the average guys hands?
gah so beautiful
still have this cajun?
If I could get a small sebenza brand new for $310 would that be a goo deal?
no. they're over priced. you can get a much better knife in s35vn for much less. most other knives would also look better and come sharper
@TheMRABC12341 these are made for edc. in my opinion THE edc knife to own.
@tapitio11 No, Christopher Reeves died in 2004.
Its not really sparking my interest very much...The thumb stud doesn't look very functional. But, I can't actually speak to it, because I don't own any Chris Reeve knives! They are expensive though are they not? Its just from watching this video it looks to me like there are better options, I guess I'd have to handle one to find out though.
go with the small, fits in the hand better, the large is a little too big. plus you will save alot of money you could get another knife with :D
True North Knives
0:40 lol what is that? Nice knife, reminds me of my skirmish with more class
the clip looks as if you were to use it hard it would useless
yep thats not true.
ZT0450 sits just as nice. Year of 2015 best knife for the money.....
@thecajunblaze Better to be broke WITH knives :)
i don't understand the fascination with the sebenzas....knives are cool but youre dropping over $300 for something that plain?
