Visiting 42 Baby Elephants in Samburu Kenya 🐘

- Welcome to Reteti Elephant Sanctuary in Samburu County, Kenya. This animal sanctuary takes care of a large number of animals including giraffes, buffalos, ostriches and of course a large group of baby elephants who are drinking 560 litres of goat milk EVERYDAY!
From the elephant orphanage, we decided to do a quick stop at the Elephant Rock which is about 5 minutes away from the elephant sanctuary. This is a massive rock with a giant piece of art representing an elephant on it.
For the night, we stayed at the bottom of Mount Ololokwe on the campground of Sabache Camp also in Samburu.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I must say, Dave, your shower experience was one in a lifetime...had me cracking up sooo hard....especially when you said the others are dirty and stinky....you are fresh ..after the struggle...aaawh. The animal nursery is so neat. I remember feeding a giraffe with my child when she was two. The giraffe surprised us and licked her face. There was tears. Great video.

As always, a great video. Leave if the locals drinking Pombey; fermented coconut (?). Kenya super corrupt, as is most of Africa. Camping? We tried to eat lunch at the Springs in Tsavo (well worth a visit; crystal clear water, hippos/fish/crocs.) Got the food out, and the baboons attacked - had to get in the car and watch as they destroyed everything. BIG teeth! All the best.
Yeah... the baboons can be quite agressive and they are full of diseases...

Hi, been following along these vids. Really enjoying and my wife has almost convinced me to take the trip to Kenya.
I just wanted to mention in the recent videos the depth of field/background defocus seems over aggressive. If there's good light maybe try aperture priority mode with a big f-stop. My guess is it's a deliberate setting. I hate to be missing out of the landscape, and of course it leaves Tracy a bit blurry. Maybe there's a compromise setting?
Enough crit, your vids are amazing and one of the reasons I'm still watching is the excellent videography. (and Kenya)
Here is what happened... I dropped my camera from pretty high and damaged the lens. Its a $3000 lens so I couldn't just replace it and this is why it took a bit of time with that weird depth of field. It's all good now. 2 more videos like this and then back to normal.

Why is this place so dry since it's very close to the equator? Most places that are close to the equator are tropical not semi-arid.

like saudi and UAE
and those camels u seen are owned by farmers or herders in semi arid areas

there is no such wild camels in kenya thyr owned by somalis in northern dry land of kenya
