Hello, *Dears*! I wanted to share that my videos are mini-hypotheses, meaning they are thoughtful observations and ideas that I explore rather than definitive conclusions. In music, especially with vocalists like Dimash, it's important to remember that even the most talented artists have advisors and mentors guiding them. They are extraordinary, but they are still human, and part of their brilliance comes from the collective expertise around them. However, this in no way denies Dimash's incredible ability to create moments that are uniquely his own. Let's continue to celebrate the artistry while appreciating the collaborative efforts that contribute to it.

Hi! Sorry, but Igor Krutoy composed songs for Dimash, coordinating the musical basis with him, but Dimash himself always carefully creates the entire voice part, he is a professional singer, composer by education. Igor could not help Dimash vocally in any way. They met when Dimash was already an accomplished singer with a lot of experience. Dimash's arranger is his friend Yerlan Bikchurin. This is a Japanese song, and Igor has nothing to do with its creation. Thanks for the reaction.!

@@ВераКруглова-й3с Yes, in the most Singer 2017 performances of Dimash you can see at the beginning of the performance the title of songs, authors of the song, Dimash's name and the name of Erlan Bekchurin as arranger of the music, including songs Adagio, Hello, Show Must Go On, all arrangement made by this young talented Kazakh fellow whom Dimash calls "my brother".

This to me is a master class in vocal and performance technique. How many ways can you say please don't go - softly sadly pleading, reasoning, praying, angrily shouting and finally resignation to fate. Not a note or emotion unexpressed. Perfection.

Believe me, there is nobody in the studio who tells Dimash how to sing or "to go for it". Dimash decides every note by himself. While he may consider suggestions by his team, he is the one making the final decision.

While I respect your opinion, none of us really know the ins and outs of a singers preparation. Every artist has someone who they seek to create an even better version of themselves. My analysis wasn't to take away from his autonomy as a premier vocalist. It was from the standpoint of a vision that came to pass that may or may not have had a collaborative effort in place to create an amazing moment. Thanks for watching!

@@Esjaetv I think the point more is that Dimash sings what he feels. He is often his own coach in that he arranges his own music and will sing it the way he feels he should sing it, and he will go back and watch his performances and determine where he feels he can improve on something. In this case, I believe he sang those power notes that way because it's how the song and the music moved him more than because someone was coaching him to "go for it". That being said, it is well known that he does have teachers, coaches, and members of his team who he trusts to help him work out the best ways to execute his artistic vision. He has said before that even the best singers don't hear themselves exactly the same way that other people hear them and even they need those outside observers to help them gather all of the input they need to make the best possible performance. I am sure that he had other members of his team there giving their input to help him in this performance.

@@EsjaetvThere's a Chinese version of this song (Autumn Strong) that Dimash has been singing since 2017, he knows the song, the melody, every note, he sings the song on his concerts. And we, Dears, know (because we have seen interviews, behind the scenes, docs...) that he is in charge of the arrangements and that he listens, but he is also very stubborn and knows what he wants. That's why we don't think someone was there to tell him what to do, specially Krutoy, lol, he is a composer, not a coach, and he only plays with Dimash when is one of his compositions, this Japanese song has nothing to do with Krutoy. Hope that helps, I don't think you were disrespectful, but I do think you were most likely wrong. 😉

You know, Dimash is a musician ( and composer) first and a singer second. One of composers who worked with him said in an interview - "The first time he hears the song he knows how to sing it - the accents, the development, the climax etc.". Dimash himself said in several interview that decisions abouth how to sing a song are entirely his.

Krutoy is not an arranger, he is a composer and perhaps producer of a few songs Dimash performed. He certainly has no involvement whatsoever with songs he didn't compose and he is not a vocal teacher or coach. He can't teach Dimash how to sing. Dimash said in interviews that he often arranges and produces his own songs, but one arranger he uses a lot is his Kazakh friend Erlan Bekchurin.

7:43 Dimash has no coach, who sais him, sing it this way. You're so much an US American that you have to see it that way. Dimash has been a musician since he was a child. He feels the song, decides how it is sung and then does it. He is not made by anyone. In addition, his EQ (and IQ) is very high. He is not made by a manager/coach. He is independent of a producer, produces himself, so to speak. When you see the name of a producer, it's his father, he runs with him their own company. That could happen as he gained millions of new fans in 2017 who supported him. That's not a fan claim.

Dimash was not in Tokyo for this performance. It was live-streamed from his production company because of travel restrictions due to Covid-19. I'm sorry, but even with your knowledge and experience, you are wrong about someone coaching Dimash on his singing, especially once he has formed his music style. Perhaps you should watch the series of videos entitled "Ultimate Dimash Guide." there are interviews with others who work with Dimash and they have said he will listen to suggestions, even if his mind is already set and he will not deviate. His friend and arranger said that Dimash watches his concerts to see if it is possible to make any changes and improvements, perhaps for the next concert. He makes little changes in his singing so as not to make a song sound the same way for different concerts. His mother said that Dimash has even trained himself in some respects when a vocal trainer is not available. He does vocal training for 3-4 hours a day every day, more if there is an upcoming concert, and he tries not to speak at all, maybe the entire day, just before a concert. Dimash listens but he has the final decision and requires no coaching.

😁While Dimash has voice teachers (in China and Kazakhstan) to continue to help improve and maintain the mastery of his techniques, Dimash has stated many times in interviews that he produces his own songs. No one tells him how to design the structure of his songs and how he will sing them. The musical arrangements are another story. He does work with composers and arrangers to get the best sounds and music that will accompany his vocals. Dimash has an Astana university Masters Degree in Composition and is about to receive his PhD in Musicology after having had formal classical and contemporary musical and vocal training for 25 years.
World class composers around the world wait in line to compose and write songs for him. He always works in partnership with these composers and also composes his own music and songs. This particular song, Ikanaide, was composed by Koji Tamaki about 30 years ago and at the time of the Tokyo Jazz Festival (performance recorded during covid quarantine for the online concert) Dimash sang his first Japanese song in honor of Koji's 30th anniversay in the music industry.
Koji is a huge musical icon in Japan and loves the way Dimash sings the Mandarin version of Koji's original Japanese song and was so tickled that Dimash chose to sing the original Japanese version for his anniversay. The Mandarin version is called Autumn Strong and is gorgeous but the original Japanese song has so much more pathos and sorrow in the way it is structured and it's meaning. Two different songs with very different lyrics. If you would like to listen to Autumn Strong in Mandarin, the live concert version in 2020 in Kiev Ukraine is absolutely gorgeous. th-cam.com/video/437IEsDIZfE/w-d-xo.html

Thank you. Dimash is singing for the 1st time in Japanese. He has sung 'Autumn Strong', the Chinese version of this song, multiple times over several years. The words are different because it is their side of the same true story. Dimash does not have a manager nor does he need or want one. Dimash has been training/performing/singing every single day of his life since he was 3yrs old. Dimash was NOT coached by anyone. He IS music. He lives and breathes music. He makes all his own decisions and has family and friends who are deeply into music also. This is a masterclass in singing. He worked with Igor Krutoy on a number of songs, some written especially for Dimash. Igor played and composed the music and Dimash sang it how HE wanted to sing it. No one tells Dimash how to sing anything ever.

There's no one coaching him, if you see some of the documentaries on him which are on his channe,l numerous people have said that it's all him, that he plans the songs from start to finish, that he's the one making all the decisions about how the song should be sung. In fact in one of his latest interviews he said himself that he won't do a song unless he gets to decide how it's done.
Even with songs that have been written with a specific purpose in mind, like a movie OST or a video game soundtrack he will change what he thinks is appropriate. Thomas Parrish said for Ocean Over The Time Dimash changed it to go a full octave above how it had been written. Nathan Wang wrote This Love for the Jackie Chan movie Legend and Dimash changed the beginning of the song to include a stunning improvised vocalise part.
There's even footage of Dimash and Igor working in Igor's home on Your Love and although Igor wrote it, Dimash is completely rewriting it as he goes, with Igor moaning in the background about Dimash's changes.
This is Dimash's genius, it's not something we're imagining as fans, it's something we've seen in front of our very eyes, he doesn't need anyone to coach him on how a song should be sung, he knows instinctively what is going to work.
Kazakh composer Renat Gaissin says that Dimash knows and plans before he even sings a song, exactly how he's going to do it.

Dimash's level of musicality is extremely rare and sometimes outside people's level of understanding. Even back in 2017 and the Singer days we saw many people stunned by his level of education and instinctive understanding of music. You literally have to tear up the rule book with him.

👉 Dimash sang Ikanaide (live and for the first time in Japanese) on the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2021(in his studio). Because of the pandemic, the annual Tokyo Jazz Festival took place online again. Filmmakers verify that the videos have not been edited and manipulated, so the singer sings live.
In 2020 Dimash also participated in the famous annual Tokyo Online Festival with 2 songs:
    * S.O.S. - th-cam.com/video/WdKYDoqKLP8/w-d-xo.html
    * Samaltau - th-cam.com/video/cEyLyKW-gWY/w-d-xo.html
The original song Ikanaide was composed in 1989 by Koji Tamaki (*1958) singer and songwriter, the lyrics come from one of his lyricists Goro Matsui.
In the same year, the song was used as the theme song for a Chinese-Japanese television series Farewell, Lixianglan, about the Japanese woman Yoshiko Yamaguchi (*1920 - † 2014) a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. However, when the war was over and she revealed her identity, she was accused of being a spy. She was deported to Japan and longed for China. Ms. Yamaguchi did not return to China until many years as deputy environment minister in the Japanese parliament. The song is a metaphor as the lyrics speak of how a person should hide what they are feeling.
Koji Tamaki sent a wonderful message to Dimash, thanking him, and praising him for singing his song in Japanese.
Vbloggers, they reacted to the original by Koji Tamaki, they are mesmerized and can't stop listening to Koji Tamaki. He wrote many wonderful melodies - you should check it out:
    Koji Tamaki 2021, Ikanaide - th-cam.com/video/OpgnM2MccCQ/w-d-xo.html
Dimash's Japan Fan Club asked the famous Japanese author of lyrics of 'Ikanaide' Goro Matsui about his emotions at Dimash performance. It's one of his favorite songs:
"… I heard Dimash singing "Ikanaide" by accident. The first thing that impressed me was his crystal clear tone and expressive voice. I heard other Asian artists perform the song many times, but despite their magnificent vocal skills, none seemed to capture the true meaning of the original lyrics. In the chorus of the song, the line "Ah, Ikanaide" is repeated several times. And although these are the same words, each line has a different meaning. And it seems to me that Dimash felt it. "
In 1993, Jacky Cheung (*1961, singer and actor in Hongkong) adapted the song into Chinese Mandarin, calling it Late Autumn: th-cam.com/video/dtM2EsgHD3M/w-d-xo.html
The Chinese (Autuumn Strong) and Japanese (Ikanaide/ Please, Don’t Go) versions have completely different lyrics and meanings… and of course Dimash sings both very differently:
    - The Chinese version shows the image of leaves dancing in the autumn wind as a metaphor for the passage of time, a farewell and change...sad but inevitable and irrevocable
    - The Japanese version does not want to accept the loss of a loved one, is full of pain, begs, suffers... heartbreaking.
I'm totally mesmerized by how sensitively Dimash differentiates and conveys to the listener the feelings of sadness and loneliness in the Chinese version and loss and pain in the Japanese version. Even his whispers and his breath are music... it breaks my heart and the tears flow... and at the end everyone suddenly holds their breath, we hear Dimash breathing, then a deep and comforting hum.
I've never heard anything like that from other singers in my entire life. Only Dimash can do that. This is true mastery.
    * The most famous interpretation In China (first performance at the Singer 2017) was that of Dimash Qudaibergen and it was his first time to sing in Chinese mandarin: Autuumn Strong - th-cam.com/video/Kmi2cVijdMo/w-d-xo.html
This song brought Dimash the 'Best Foreign Singer' award at the Golden Melody Award 2017 (equivalent to the Grammy) in Hong Kong.
    * Great performance (Chinese version) of Dimash from Kiev 11.03.2020, the last concert before Corona paralyzed everything: Autumn Strong - th-cam.com/video/437IEsDIZfE/w-d-xo.html
    * Other version by Dimash: In Moscow on March, 2019 - Autumn Strong - th-cam.com/video/-ewR8Boc21I/w-d-xo.html

Sadly the teacher he had for most of his life died a few years ago. Dimash was heartbroken ,but his teacher requested that he sing a piece for him written and sung acapella. Dimash was already heart broken and felt he couldn’t do him justice. But he went out there close to the audience and poured his heart out and in several moments you could really hear his pain.♏️🦁🦁🦋

The song writer 🎼 praised Dimash on his getting the “Ah’s” 🎶 so perfectly to what he intended they should convey in each phase👌🎤
    Well It Is Dimash‼️🤣😂💦
I also watched a Japanese reactor comment that the 🇯🇵 language is usually pronounced wrong with a hard consonant sound of most western speakers. He said that it’s different and should be weaker to get it right. He was so impressed with Dimash getting the enunciation correct ❤️🇯🇵

Sometimes I laugh at the reactions of "professionals". They act as if they hear a singer with similar vocal and technical abilities every day or as if they can do at least half of it themselves.
You may not know everything, but when something is explained to you that we know better, you should be grateful for the information. But no, you're still trying to prove what was just your assumption in the first place.

Dr. Qudaibergen has three degrees in music plus his life of being raised in the premier
music school for young people in Kazakhstan.
While he did work with Maestro Krutoy, no one coaches him in arrangement.
Igor has worked with him, but only on compositions he produced.
Dimash has his own ideas, and it is best not to buck him or coach him in another direction. Giggle.

This version "Ikanaide" (行かないで) ) is the original, from 1989, composed by Koji Tamaki (famous Japanese singer, born in 1958) with lyrics by Goro Matsui. The version "Autumn Strong" (Late Autumn), sung in Chinese, uses the same song, but has another lyrics (Yaqui Cheung, from 1993) and another theme: It talks about the Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamagushi, very dear to the Chinese, who was deported when they discovered her Japanese origin (his real name was Li Xiang Lan and we're talking about World War II, where Japan was China's enemy) and never returned to China. In the original version, the lyrics are more intimate, sentimental and more recognized worldwide. It means: "Please don't go!". Please don’t sing over Dimash. Its not about you. Figure it out on your own time. That goes for instrumentalists. This is a ballad sing with sensitivity, passion and style. It takes immense control, tonal quality and breath control.
Nobody coaches him. Dimash is his own driver. Obviously he has training, but that is to hone his voice...but Dimash decides everything else. He is an artist....not just a singer. His interpretation is 100% his own.

Great reaction. Dimash always gives thanks to his teachers, coaches, mentors, etc. He's humble enough to listen to other people's input. A big, however, his father and mother both say that he will listen but do what he agrees with -- and still be open in the future to input. So I totally agree with you -- it could certainly be that in rehearsals there was someone who was making suggestions to him. Afterwards, he listens to/watches his performances to see where he might have done better. ~ a Dear from Maryland
