  • In a recent press conference held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Government House in Port Moresby, Prime Minister Hon. James Marape discussed the ongoing political landscape and the looming no-confidence vote. This statement followed the announcement of a Cabinet reshuffle during the same event.
During the press conference, a journalist posed a question to Prime Minister Marape regarding the no-confidence vote. His response emphasised the significance of addressing such matters on the floor of Parliament rather than outside it. The Prime Minister's perspective sheds light on the parliamentary process and the appropriate forum for discussing crucial issues.

He was the smarter one but didn't have much time. Though in short time His structural reforms paved way for much that is taken for granted today.

These men may have never grew the economy according to you PMJM but they have more wisdom than you would ever have in your entire life. They were never boastful and counting blessings publicly like u and they took their fair share of criticism without ever pointing a finger at the previous govt. It's your turn and term, maski kamap girly2x na point finger na O'Neil told you. Do your job

Let us not edit the political history of this country. I will say, let other people write your story in the history books rather than you verbally saying it with so much national chaos around you. The country is going down and people are actually feeling the pinch of your governance.
The people of Papua New Guinea have the democratic right to express their views in all social media networks or outlets. The best thing to do is abide by the constitution and listen to the cry of the citizens. PANGU Pati is not a human being, so listen to your people and not the minority PANGU members.

Give pm JM at least 15yrs min. It's already started big ones like new Porgera, Gold refinery etc.
Continuous wrecking of county's economy and blatant neglect of infrastructures needs time to fix. To do that we need money that's why he is starting on investments of appropriate scale and pay turn around.

why is Marape creating unnecessary ministries when the populace are dealing with the pain stacking high cost of living (high tax, less pay and sky rocketing prices of basic goods and services) in the country. even cabinet reshuffle doesn't do any good to the country as most mps in Parliament are corrupt and selfish. start taking some drastic measures by cutting mps pay packets and divert it to much needed areas elsewhere such as rural aid posts, schools etc etc

Talking like a school boy without any power and authority. Not even a leader, a Prime Minister. 1997 Sir Julius Chen never left Parliament, he left Parliament after everything was in full swing and left right under the soldiers nose's. Belden Namah was a soldier that time standing in front of the Parliament gate when Sir Julius Chen went out. Know your facts and stop being self-righteous.

No your wrong, O’Neill resigned on 29 May 2019. Parliament voted James Marape on 30 May 2019 for PM (101 votes, to Sir Mekere Mourata’s 8).
It was after when Hon. James Marape became Prime Minister, that Hon. Peter O'Neil started discrediting PMJM, but that's politics,

PM JM has done what no other PM has done in the past. I completely agree to his claim. He has now set the country on the right footing to economic prosperity. Down stream processing is taking place, 51% of revenue will now be earned by PNG from Pogera and the new Oil, Gas and Mining projects. In the past we were only spectators watching the foreign companies remove our resources from the land whilst we were struggling economically.
