Lol. the argument below. it really isn't hard to see the pre-colonial cultural influences in our spanish INSPIRED dances. that's what makes our dances ours. Even Spaniards compliment Filipinos for the special flair that they dance with. And remember, that there are Hispanic cultures outside of Iberia, all of which have Spanish-inspired dances that are fully theirs and not of Spain. Kinda what Hispanic means, doy.
This is one of my favorites dances. I'm glad to see a group is actually performing it. However, The thumb should be sticking out during the kewet hand movement. The kewet is what makes the dance very Pangasinan-ish and the thumb sticking out is what makes it a kewet from a kumintang.
I still can't find a full version of that intro music, it has been 12yrs and I still love that intro tune. Was the title of that music is parikitan? Can you help me admin?
DonMiguel1810 I like the way you think. But think the other way around, if the spanish have not colonized the americas and philippines, what do you think will happen? If not of them as colonies, Spain would have not gained the riches they need to be a stable empire. They lost them at the end, and that marked the end of the spanish empire too.

That seems to be the perfect word to describe the millions of Filipinos in the world.
