only started watching, but from the first hole I can already confidently say: 1. the designers in this game are something else - what an incredible opening hole both aesthetically and design wise. 2. this definitely needs to be added to the list for Impossible series. Got to finish the video now, can't wait. Thanks for all the great content, Apex!
aesthetically and environment wise, yes, very good course. actual design wise, this course is terrible. there is little to no sculpting done and it does not look good to play as far as slopes on greens and fairways go.
@@clairesboyzI agree and I made the course. This was in my newer designing days. I've done Birdie Bottle and Shadows of Bigfoot since and now 75% of the way through another course. This course was way too hard cause I built it when I played on beginner mode and wanted it to be a challenge for beginner mode. Never knew people even played on master difficulty.
I enjoy watching the tougher courses, this qualifies.
I would love to see you play this course with a blood pressure machine hooked up to you 🤣🤣🤣

Our lad was so steamed up that he didn't even notice (or mention) the what-the-fuckness of the 13th hole where there's randomly about 50 golf carts just parked all over the damn place 😅
Apex, I think you are making a big mistake with your driver. You talk about delofting it when that ADDS distance and takes off spin. You should be LOFTING the driver to shorten it and have it spin more and roll less. Whenever you want to hit it shorter with any club, add loft, don’t take it away. I think you’ll love the results!
Watching him say “let me de-loft” made me want to stomp on glass😂
@@codyg269 same!!! I’m like, maybe he’s just saying it generically without realizing it but then he DID deloft. And I’m punching the couch! 🤣🤣
The ONLY reason to use deloft is in those insane winds. I think Apex loses so many shots but not using full loft and full spin more often on so many courses.
Wrong deloft reduces distance on driver
@@pauldarn both reduce carry distance but deloft increases run out by reducing spin-it’s basic physics.

de loft reduces spin, and less spin equals more role. also in real life golf you want less loft on driver to reduce spin and increase carry aswell.
Deloft reduces carry in game though for driver, definitely adds roll ofc
Lost Dunes is a venue that I truly hope could be turned into an actual course, it would most likely have to be produced for the European Tour because I do not know anywhere in the states with a layout of this caliber that is not Swampy (at least until you start going further Northwest) and the concept of having to play a shot even when stuck deep in a Dense Rough where the plants are nearly Double the height of the golfers is genuinely admirable to aide the level of challenge that we need to witness nowadays; especially as a Stableford player, this area will test our patience and precision, most notably on Hole 0I7 and 0I8, add in The Impossible Challenge and this is such an exotic location where you pretty much have to bring in well beyond your A Game, those Peninsula~style Greens will run even the best of us into the ground but I feel that a good Rainstorm could improve the outcome and certain ball curves.

Don't be afraid to add loft to your clubs to play the wind. You had a couple wind were you could've hit a three wood

i gotta wonder how these designers get all this vegetation and rocks etc into their courses without the memory being too full..i feel like i put a shrub in and my memory jumps up 5%...amazing course
If you use the same shrub the memory will only go up 1% if you use different shrubs your memory keeps going up. Also I planted each thing of grass. If you plant it individually and not in clusters you use way way memory. Hope that helps.
Plant it individually you use way lass memory. My typing was bad on the last message. Keep using the same type of rocks as well. Anytime you use a new object the memory goes up.

Why are we trying to de loft a driver when trying to control roll out? MORE LOFT LAND SOFT baby!!!
The drop zones will never work on weird courses like this. There is to much water and hazards. The designer makes these courses with no drop zones in mind. If you play the real official PGA courses you don’t run into this problem
The drops are terrible in general mate but yes definitely worse here
@@TheApexHoundI designed that course back when I used to play on beginner mode with friends. My newer courses like shadows of bigfoot and Bordie Bottle were designed for master difficulty. I'm still learning on how to design courses. Only been doing it for about 6 months.

Well look no further. So I created this course cause me and my friends all played on beginner mode. I was shooting like -18 under par on every course and wanted it to be a challenge on beginner. I was new to thr game this year and never had a clue about how hard master difficulty was. If you think that course is hard play loopers only and see if you can break 100. I built Shadows of Bigfoot and Birdie Bottle with master difficulty in mind.
@@kelleywilson141 My roommate and I just played it and thought it was a really cool design and super challenging in a unique kind of way. We both play normal difficulty but still allow "tiger vision" putt previews because we just play for fun when we're baked and want to go low. On Lost Dunes I shot even par and he just edged me out at -1. A testament to how accurate you have to be. Good stuff!
