@@DrJALAGHARI Dr how if my value is 275kV. can i use the same value for length, impedance, reactance and frequency ? or i need to change all the parameters value ?
Thanks for the comment. Actually in long transmission line, if we use any value of inductance or capacitance it causes resonant frequency of such value that is high or low the time period of MATLAB setting. This causes MATLAB to stop running the simulation. That's why you have to check for different values. In this example, this values gives satisfactory results.
Dr. Laghari, Can you help me, please? I need to design a 4-phase, 6-phase, 9-phase, and 12-phase Power transmission lines and compare each one of them with the 3-phase power transmission lines in terms of Harmonics, Voltage regulation, Sag calculation, and power loss using Matlab. Do you have any references or textbooks that can help me to do this project?
Thanks for the comment. You may find any research paper closely related to this topic first. Then try to implement it. Otherwise, it will be difficult.
In general, how to select the zero-sequence resistance, Matlab help document does not provide adequate guidance about how to set zero sequence parameters. I know the selection for L0 and CO should not result in invalid propagation. But how to specify them for a simulation?
Thanks for your message. Actually in long transmission line analysis, we normally ignore resistance. Therefore, in most of the cases, its resistance is zero. However, if in any particular case, resistance is needed, then its positive sequence resistance will be equal to its original resistance. Please refer power system analysis aymmetrical components chapter, topic sequence imoedance of transmission line.
Thanks for your valuable comments. This example is taken from the book power system analysis by Hadi Sadat who is an authority in the field of power systems. Furthermore, it is already mentioned in the example that it is a lossless line. Therefore, obviously, it must have an efficiency of 100%. otherwise, it is not a lossless line. Additionally, transmission lines have always higher efficiency usually in the range of above 95% to 98%. Therefore, I couldn't see any ridiculous thing in this example. If you see any such thing kindly justify your perspective with arguments, and I will try to change my mind. Thanks.
Wa'alaikum salam thanks for your message and email. I have checked now. Basically I haven't worked on lightning. To do this, you may follow any research paper closely related to this topic then implement it in MATLAB. It would be easy.
Thanks for the comment. Hr transmission line k parameters mile hote hain. Wahe put krainge. Iss example ma wahi data use hoga jo iss example ma mile honge.

5:34 Why did you write 0.99 mH for the second value of inductance? What does it represent and why does it only work for this example only?
