    Also what if we want to give variable data of load and generation at particular bus? I mean instead of giving fix values to the bus , how we can give multiple time changing values for load and generation at any bus like bus 2? How to do it?

      Thanks for the comment. My question is that why to do it? first it is an standard IEEE system which already has its rated values. therefore, we have to perform its load flow analysis using these values. second, if you want to change the values for your own, you may change it manually and observe the load flow. may be it work or may not depending upon the power capacity and transmission line losses.

      @@ArmanAli-ww7ml It depends upon the purpose. If you want to know the future expansion and want to know whether existing system will be able to supply the future increased load then you only change the load keeping the generation constant. If it is not able to supply the increased load then change the generation to see how much generation is required. Transmission line parameters remains constant unless you upgrade the transmission voltage. Therefore, don't change the transmission parameters.

      Thanks for the comment. Actually this program contains many built-in functions made by hadi sadat. Therefore, you have to change the name and extension of all these functions from capital letters to small letters one by one. Then it will run properly.

    Why is bus two considered PQ bus instead of pv bus?

      Thanks for the comment. Actually here bus 2 has both generator as well as load. Whereas, the PV bus is generally one which has generation only. Therefore, due to both generator and load, in this program it is considered as PQ bus. Otherwise, it gives wrong results in terms of active power supplied.

      Thanks for the comments. Have you downloaded the folder from the link given in the description section of the video. Then just save it in any drive. Then open that folder in the matlab current folder section. Then open the ieee5bus load flow program m file. Then run it. It will surely run. Please follow the steps.

    In newton raphson method of loadflow, do the reactive power generation of the generator bus changes with load? If yes, then how. it could be incorporated in NR load flow as we donot use corresponding Q of that PV bus to calculate mismatch vector?

      Thanks for the comment. It depends upon the software. Different softwares ask for different values. Some ask for whole value whereas some ask for half value.

      Generator 1 is slack bus. The slack bus provide the power after the load flow solution is completed in order to supply the total load plus losses.

      Just change the name from capital letters to smaller letter such as LFYBUS M to lfybus.m similarly change all the names then it will run.
