I think hyness was a good person at some point but got corrupted by power at some point. The reason I believe is that otherwise there would be no reason for the quote "If my heart goes crazy again, oh never mind!", that also implies that he knew what kind of power he was dealing with before that. Also, when you befriend the mage sisters in the end of hero's in another dimension and have all 120 friend hearts the sisters will comfort his as you see him getting "purified" and I think if he wasn't a good person at some point there would be no reason to show that.

Ya know. These ancients seem to fear power a LOT. Like. . . when they come across someone like Galacta Knight, who's power could cause planetary destruction as collateral damage, they just seal him away for eons. They tried to erase Hyness and the Mages from *HISTORY ITSELF.* It's clear they aren't to be taken lightly if they still exist. But if they do, they certainly won't take kindly to Kirby. After all, he does have similar power, (Cracking Popstar, Meteor Baseball, Soul destroying, etc) and it doesn't seem like they care how it's used as Hyness states that he and the mages stopped a crisis and were rewarded by almost dying. So if Kirby does meet them, what would be the circumstances that bring him to them? Are they omnipotent? Why do they adore technology so much? How far will they go to try and destroy Kirby, if at all? I feel like I'm reading far too deep into the Kirby Lore here... and I regret nothing.

I hope when they make a final kirby game it'll be finally tied up in a nice bow... Tbh part of kirby canon frustrates me because we know of characters who have a lot of information about the ancients and could clear up SO MUCH (Hyness, probably the mage sisters, Magolor, etc...)
Kirby destroyed the master crown, void termina and star dream. All three are supposed to have limitless power. I am pretty sure that it would be insane if that would not land him on some hitlist somewhere, even if it is not the ancients themselves.

Hyness manipulated her into following him because she was broken and in need of direction and, as a result, she became loyal to a dangerous degree. The other sisters aren't as loyal, they follow Hyness but they aren't as invested, it's just a job. Hyness got zan to join his religion because she was at her lowest, scared lost and suicidal. That happens in real life sometimes and it's really messed up.
But remember, Hyness wasnt always evil. Hyness was actually really kind-hearted and sweet. He just got corrupted. If you 100% the game, both the mages a n d Hyness turn good.
I would like to point out that nowhere in the pause screen descriptions of the Soul Melter EX mage sisters does it say that Haynes saved their lives. In fact, in Zan Par’s description, it says “as she breathes her last”. The sisters could just be magically animated corpses.
Well, since they’re brought back with unique personalities and feelings, and are able to function far from Jambandra, I’d say even if they are, they’re about as much of a reanimated corpse as somebody who was revived after cpr
I read a fanfic that stated Zan Partizanne was intending on jumping off the tower to kill herself, but got struck down by Kracko before she could; Hyness rescued her on the way down. There’s no real proof to it, but I kept it as a headcanon.
I believe she climbed up that tower with the intention of getting struck by lighting, a swift death with her body possibly never being found Until hyness came along to save her. Although thats kinda crazy if kracko was the one to attempt to kill her
I always have this headcanon that Hyness and Magolor know each other, as they both bear incredible knowledge of the ancients, look similar, and that Magolor MIGHT have been an ancient at some point, if not, a descendant of the ancients. And I always had a headcanon that Magolor and Hyness have been at each other’s throats ever since Hyness’s banishment.
What’s interesting is that the Mage Sisters are all named after the weapons they weird. A Francisca is a kind of throwing axe, a Flamberge is a kind of sword, and a Partisan is a kind of spear. The irony of all this? Hyness swings them in his battle like the weapons they’re named after. That’s some cool attention to detail.
One detail that, while not confirmed, is pretty likely to be the case, is the fact that zan probably was climbing the black and white tower planet (idr the name either) and got hit by cracko's lighting

its funny that when we first see Hyness, his personality is like a twisted mixture of all the Mage Sisters' personalities. He begins with Francisca's calm demeanor, freaks out with Flamberge's uncontainable rage and passion, and just in general has Zan Partizanne's sense of duty. Except Hyness' sense of duty led him to going insane and obsessed.

While they could be sisters in the sense of adopted sisters, a Switch news update implies that they are a sisterhood of mages. I guess either explanation could work.
One does not exclude the other. For example, taking abandoned girls, and raising them up could by definition be adopting, but unofficially, if ANYTHING. However, they could still be part of a sisterhood as well.

Especially when Flamberge stated that her chest "burned" after looking at a "cute drawing" of Francisca on the Twitter. Heck, Kumazaki himself said that their relationship may be deeper than "just friends/comrades" in an interview.
So basically, they probably fucked up and created Galacta Knight, a creature that caused a lot of destruction, asked Hyness and his people for help sealing it and then not only did they seal THEM but erased all evidence of their existence so it seemed they were the ones who stopped Galacta Knight. That's fucked up, man.
I like to think that the light hearts actually fell on the dream friends. That makes sense since some of them were even scattered outside of Popstar, like Ripple Star and Susie's (I guess)
It's been a while since I first saw this, and its held up well. I'd like to mention the sisters' details from when they are playable, especially the implication what Francisca and Flamberge like would kill the other, and their idle animations imply Zan is like their leader.
I have a theory, it is known that in team kirby clash you fight as a team of a swordfighter, hammer fighter, docter, and mage. 4, like the 4 heroes of yor. Also the 2 potential members are galacta knight and hyness. Galacta knight is a sword fighter and is included because of his heart spear attack in team kirby clash deluxe and hyness is closer to the heart to be corrupted and such and is the ruler of the mage sisters, implying that he is a mage hinself, sword fighter and a mage........
In canon since Zan Partizanne climbed the tower, it might’ve been to end her own life. Hyness saved her when she got struck by lightning before being able to seal her fate, bringing her out of desperation, for some time at least. It’s almost as if Lord Hyness had been talking to Zan, almost counseling her, which brought her out of this situation, and used Zan’s true feelings to almost get to kirby, say that line, that kirby should kill _himself_ , also. This sounds farfetched, but look at Zan’s ‘description’ in EX on the Japanese version again. It’s almost as if she wanted to end her life.
The jambastion mages appear to be humanoid of some sort, with human faces and even human clothing, they may be humans who fell in through desperation, who wanted to escape their troubled lives into a void, but instead encountered a rainbow-colored galaxy. They set out on a mission to avenge their kind, and a cloaked figure saves their lives at the darkest times of their quests, transforming them into the mages we know and love, along with giving them their own elements and magic abilities that come with. They all ironically happen to be transformed by the same person. Lord Hyness. Zan had her own reasons, though. She wanted to su*c*de, via climbing a high tower, the journey has gotten so long, and she just, wanted all this to be over, and before she could reconsider, a lightning bolt almost sealed her fate, Lord Hyness uses practically a Shock of literal _life_ ,transforming her into a being that still kept her human characteristics, but turned her into the kind of style that the Kirby galaxy follows. We can only guess she still thinks this way, and Hyness understood? Counseling her? This explains how she got mentally damaged or whatnot.

I hope they change up some things fromt he next Kirby game onwards. Of course it would be interesting to finally get a proper main line 3D Kirby game, but I'm also refering to the lore. Why don't they put all the information in the games. They wouldn't need to give us all this lore in pause screens and seperate channels if we could just see everything. Like what happened to the mage sisters before Hyness found them and things like that. Also they could start connecting the games more. There are easter eggs here and there but they feel too seperate. It's always something different with every new game. I mean if a couple of bosses all are dark matter (or conencted to it) then they should just admit it.
I think the best way to this is to make a certain route to play(by finding different secrets and puzzles) and the game will give it to you all plain. If you don't you get the same, simple and not overcomplex Kirby storyline

While that would be nice, the way that they handle story as is couldn't possibly be any better. Since the MAJOR plot is *_ONLY_* in the background, children of younger ages can enjoy Kirby as it is in its simplest form: a game about a cute ball of pink puffball helping his friends. While those of us that can understand the story can find it all in the same convenient location everytime. It provides backstory without the need for characters to monologue. It doesn't ever take away from gameplay, because it is purely optional. And it's actually all connected rather easily, when you take a step back & look at the whole picture. They've had things planned ahead for DECADES, & they even managed to incorporate the story-less fun that Sakurai originally created into their web of plot. It might feel a tad overwhelming at first, but everything in Kirby lore exists for good reason, with even the simplest things like a butterfly being a major factor in later games. It's really ingenious. And unlike Kingdom Hearts, everything actually makes sense. Kingdom Hearts is convoluted because Nomura thinks it being all "deep" makes it cool, when none of it is even important, because at the end of the day, Kingdom Hearts isn't about the Keyblade war, & the struggle between Light & *_DARKNESS,_* it's about the power of friendships forged through struggle. Meanwhile, Kirby Lore *_feels_* convoluted because there's just a whole lot of it, & because it isn't presented directly to you. Once you have all of the information, the puzzle pieces fall into place.
If Zan was a dog she’d be the one who’s very loyal but gets abused for no reason. Francisca would be the the one who everyone loves and is trained very well. She also hides the marinated meat loaf when she’s mad but isn’t disciplined. Then you have flamberge who lives outside because of the demons possessing her.

I have a crazy theory (and don’t take my word for linking Nintendo franchises together). What if… The Mage Sisters… Were the friends of the ancient leviathans of Hyrule? In Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the leviathans were said to be an extinct race of whale-like creatures that roamed the skies of Hyrule until at some point, all 3 of them died by environmental catastrophes. One died by a volcanic eruption by Death Mountain, one died by an ice age at the Hebra Mountains, and one died by a catastrophic drought in the Gerudo region. Flameberge and Francisca nearly met their ends as the fates of the leviathans of Death and Hebra Mountains respectively. Zan did not meet the same fate as that of the Gerudo leviathan. However, the Gerudo region is associated with lightning. It was said that Zan had lost everything she held dear, so she climbed a tower in an attempt to commit suicide by lightning. So was it due to the demise of her friend by the drought that led her to commit to such a fate until Hyness saved all three girls? Nintendo is no stranger making obvious references from one series to another.

One does not exclude the other.
For example, taking abandoned girls, and raising them up could by definition be adopting, but unofficially, if ANYTHING. However, they could still be part of a sisterhood as well.
I see them most like sister nuns cause their whole thing is religious. They believe in a god they are summoning. Not real sisters though.

@@knightofcarrion7358 i don't think there is realy romantic implications in there, their full lore tells how hyness saved them and took them in, so the adoptive sisters interpretation seems the most likely acurate one, and they simply get along very well, like Asta and Yuno or the main duo from owari no seraph

Especially when Flamberge stated that her chest "burned" after looking at a "cute drawing" of Francisca on the Twitter. Heck, Kumazaki himself said that their relationship may be deeper than "just friends/comrades" in an interview.

I like to think that the light hearts actually fell on the dream friends. That makes sense since some of them were even scattered outside of Popstar, like Ripple Star and Susie's (I guess)

It's been a while since I first saw this, and its held up well. I'd like to mention the sisters' details from when they are playable, especially the implication what Francisca and Flamberge like would kill the other, and their idle animations imply Zan is like their leader.
I have a theory, it is known that in team kirby clash you fight as a team of a swordfighter, hammer fighter, docter, and mage. 4, like the 4 heroes of yor. Also the 2 potential members are galacta knight and hyness. Galacta knight is a sword fighter and is included because of his heart spear attack in team kirby clash deluxe and hyness is closer to the heart to be corrupted and such and is the ruler of the mage sisters, implying that he is a mage hinself, sword fighter and a mage........
Is no one gonna talk about how Kirby is like a god for defeating everyone that found an op artifact without a scratch at the end?

In canon since Zan Partizanne climbed the tower, it might’ve been to end her own life. Hyness saved her when she got struck by lightning before being able to seal her fate, bringing her out of desperation, for some time at least.
It’s almost as if Lord Hyness had been talking to Zan, almost counseling her, which brought her out of this situation, and used Zan’s true feelings to almost get to kirby, say that line, that kirby should kill _himself_ , also.
This sounds farfetched, but look at Zan’s ‘description’ in EX on the Japanese version again. It’s almost as if she wanted to end her life.
I’ll also mention how they might’ve been humans beforehand, and confirm this below.

The jambastion mages appear to be humanoid of some sort, with human faces and even human clothing, they may be humans who fell in through desperation, who wanted to escape their troubled lives into a void, but instead encountered a rainbow-colored galaxy. They set out on a mission to avenge their kind, and a cloaked figure saves their lives at the darkest times of their quests, transforming them into the mages we know and love, along with giving them their own elements and magic abilities that come with. They all ironically happen to be transformed by the same person. Lord Hyness. Zan had her own reasons, though. She wanted to su*c*de, via climbing a high tower, the journey has gotten so long, and she just, wanted all this to be over, and before she could reconsider, a lightning bolt almost sealed her fate, Lord Hyness uses practically a Shock of literal _life_ ,transforming her into a being that still kept her human characteristics, but turned her into the kind of style that the Kirby galaxy follows. We can only guess she still thinks this way, and Hyness understood? Counseling her? This explains how she got mentally damaged or whatnot.

I hope they change up some things fromt he next Kirby game onwards. Of course it would be interesting to finally get a proper main line 3D Kirby game, but I'm also refering to the lore. Why don't they put all the information in the games. They wouldn't need to give us all this lore in pause screens and seperate channels if we could just see everything. Like what happened to the mage sisters before Hyness found them and things like that. Also they could start connecting the games more. There are easter eggs here and there but they feel too seperate. It's always something different with every new game. I mean if a couple of bosses all are dark matter (or conencted to it) then they should just admit it.
That'd certainly make things easier.
I think the best way to this is to make a certain route to play(by finding different secrets and puzzles) and the game will give it to you all plain. If you don't you get the same, simple and not overcomplex Kirby storyline

Bad for gameplay and not as important as gameplay. Shinya Kumazaki clearly likes ppl to earn that information themselves.
While that would be nice, the way that they handle story as is couldn't possibly be any better. Since the MAJOR plot is *_ONLY_* in the background, children of younger ages can enjoy Kirby as it is in its simplest form: a game about a cute ball of pink puffball helping his friends.
While those of us that can understand the story can find it all in the same convenient location everytime. It provides backstory without the need for characters to monologue. It doesn't ever take away from gameplay, because it is purely optional.
And it's actually all connected rather easily, when you take a step back & look at the whole picture. They've had things planned ahead for DECADES, & they even managed to incorporate the story-less fun that Sakurai originally created into their web of plot.
It might feel a tad overwhelming at first, but everything in Kirby lore exists for good reason, with even the simplest things like a butterfly being a major factor in later games. It's really ingenious. And unlike Kingdom Hearts, everything actually makes sense.
Kingdom Hearts is convoluted because Nomura thinks it being all "deep" makes it cool, when none of it is even important, because at the end of the day, Kingdom Hearts isn't about the Keyblade war, & the struggle between Light & *_DARKNESS,_* it's about the power of friendships forged through struggle.
Meanwhile, Kirby Lore *_feels_* convoluted because there's just a whole lot of it, & because it isn't presented directly to you. Once you have all of the information, the puzzle pieces fall into place.

Were the friends of the ancient leviathans of Hyrule?
In Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the leviathans were said to be an extinct race of whale-like creatures that roamed the skies of Hyrule until at some point, all 3 of them died by environmental catastrophes. One died by a volcanic eruption by Death Mountain, one died by an ice age at the Hebra Mountains, and one died by a catastrophic drought in the Gerudo region. Flameberge and Francisca nearly met their ends as the fates of the leviathans of Death and Hebra Mountains respectively. Zan did not meet the same fate as that of the Gerudo leviathan. However, the Gerudo region is associated with lightning. It was said that Zan had lost everything she held dear, so she climbed a tower in an attempt to commit suicide by lightning. So was it due to the demise of her friend by the drought that led her to commit to such a fate until Hyness saved all three girls? Nintendo is no stranger making obvious references from one series to another.
