- The Wrangell St. Elias National Park, Alaska is 13.2 million acres full of spectacular mountains and glaciers. In April of 2013, 4 friends ventured into a remote section of the park to live on a glacier for 2 weeks, setting up base camp in the center of untouched terrain.

This video is truly amazing! From the outstanding cinematography and lyrical monologue to the incredible skiing and mountains you just can't beat it
"The absolute remoteness of our location is only outdone by the extreme temperatures thrown at us..."
Here's a little throwback to Wrangelled with Forrest Coots and Jason Thompson in the Wrangell St. Elias National Park, Alaska: ski mountaineering adventuring at its finest...
Amazing scenery, what a trip...

Hi Alon,
We used the Sony FS700 and FS100 cameras as well as two Canon DSLR's. On top of that, we had a make shift dolly/jib arm that we built out of carbon fiber for light transport.
Thanks for watching!

Wrangle St Elias is probably the best combination of skiing and big mountains in the world…throw in Klaus supercubs and you’re setup for a trip of a lifetime
HUGE!
Definitely one of the best bc videos. The Wrangell and Aurora Borealis are a plus. Indeed, "Great things happen when men and mountains meet." Of course that has to do with the Deities who reside there. The prayer flags are a nice testament and reminder.
Magnificent... I find snow camping to be its own reward... no noise, great stars. Thanks for the inspiring vid guys.
Always loved that quote by William Blake: "Great things happen when men and mountains meet, this is not done by jostling in the street".....
Easy to forget the power of raw nature to inspire, transform , strengthen and uplift us , when we are often so surrounded by urbanisation, groomed pistes, park here and pay, etc etc.
Beautiful !!!!
great film! cheers from Chile
This is dope!!!!!
Love this channel! :)
Awesome video
Most awesome National Park in the country. Great clip, folks. This was mostly in the St. Elias mountains?
Great adventure
Incredible! I'm wondering, what cameras and related gear did they use to film this? It's great!
Wonderful 🔥🇹🇷
This video features a lot of gear from our Whiteline collection.
@arcteryxequipmentinc I wish you would mention the layers they are wearing, what shell, mid layer etc.
Inspiring video! Anyone see what boots they were wearing?
+TheSoundoftheunivers As you might expect, they're wearing the 2015 Dynafit Vulcans: www.evo.com/outlet/alpine-touring-ski-boots/dynafit-vulcan-tf.aspx an awesome boot that climbs and charges in equal measure.
There is a new model for 2016 with very little unchanged but unfortunately it looks like they will be discontinued from Dynafit's lineup next year, replaced by the Khion Carbon. So if you can find a pair on sale, stock up!
I have to do that one time
What's up, yo? I'm glad to see it blood scene What's happening.. !!!
@7:19 damn Dynastar and Arc'teryx can't afford to set the camera guy up with pin bindings? He's gotta carry that gear and push around frame bindings.
Idk man, 10 years ago the Duke and the Jester were thought to be required gear for skiing big and fast and pins were to fragile. It was until Hoji started doing some stuff a few yrs later and beefier pins that people started to take them onto big lines on a regular basis.
That said I don’t see anything that would’ve given me pause for dynafits even back then
That said
@@anthonysteen56 I'm talking about the film crew. The ones not skiing big and fast, but carrying way more gear.
That's like the last frontier! Of course the ultimate frontier is the Kingdom of Heaven. You must be born-again in order to reach the ultimate frontier. For Alaskan backcountry powder riding that leads to the ultimate frontier ~ faithandaction.net.
