Hi guys. The kids are so lucky to be experiencing this and it's very educational. I'm nearly caught up from over the weekend. Truly is a beautiful part of Queensland.
Another awesome video. I heard about the caravan dust pressurisers..........pressure the air in the van as your driving so dust cant come in. Maybe they were work for your van.
Another ripper episode Guys. You've become so professional with your editing and presentations, BUT, still beautifully natural. Just so much better than anything on TV !!.
Wow thank you Steve, such a compliment. I must admit I am putting a little more time into the editing as now I am much quicker I can afford the extra time. Thank you so much for following the journey and tuning in. We aren't us with you, our viewers 🥰 Cheers mate!
Great tips.. Thank you. Still waiting for my caravan to be built. Getting tips from you guys is very helpful. Your pain my gain :). Congratulations too on picking up your sponsor, that's got to help, well done, you deserve it. You give you receive. Have fun all. Enjoy!
That’s the plan, show you our mistakes so those watching hopefully don’t do the same! We’re not professionals and have learnt the same as everyone else so I hope we make it easier for you by showing you the bad bits too 😁👌🏻 thanks for following the journey guys 🥰🤙🏻
Merry Christmas 🎄 to you and your family as well, I hope 2021 is a magic year for you all! Thanks for following our journey and supporting our TH-cam channel Steve 🥰🤙🏻
Thanks Adam! Trying to keep up with the times and bring the quality of our editing up to speed. As I learn more, I bring the skills into our show 👌🏻 thanks for tuning in ☺️
Thanks James! It’s funny because from our side of things were so excited to show you the next portion of the trip! We’ll be back at the Cape in 2021 or 2022 though so there will be a volume two (which will include gunshot) soon enough 😜🤙🏻
@@BigOzExplorers 100% totally excited for the next parts of the trip and as always im more than happy take one for the team and review the next episode, for quality control you know :-) hahah stay safe guys and hope you have a great Christmas
G'day guys obviously you done some amazing trips which is my biggest dream especially driving my dream car which is awesome but i think you guy take everywhere you go, i love your rear bottom camera that i can see the independent suspension of that new model which is give idea why solid diff not so many on late model but anyways glad you guys still ok wish you all the best and keep up the good work 🤙😎
There are quite a few MVO tracks at the Cape and caravan parks and shops tell you to use them as it’s the quickest/most scenic route, we were none the wiser and have gone off what other people told us, good to know though thanks! 👍🏻
Thanks mate!! I wondered if anyone would comment on them, trying to mix it up and keep it fresh and exciting and make it our own. Move away from the standard style most on YT have 👌🏻 see you next week!
With those Dometic Heki roof hatches there is supposed to be a rubber seal on the hatch lid but it is removed to meet Australian standards. Find a caravan parts supplier in the UK or EU and order the rubber seal, had friends with those hatches and the seal fixes your dust problem.
@@BigOzExplorers here is an eBay link to the seal you need and how it fits. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DOMETIC-SEITZ-HEKI-2-REPLACEMENT-ROOF-LIGHT-RUBBER-SEAL-READ-DESCRIPTION-/232457630180.
When we were at Cape York, we were running Dick Cepek Trail Country. We have since moved to the Yokohama G016 X-AT Extreme All Terrain which have been excellent!!
Watching you in a place I wanne be. The Potrol doing alright. Noticed in one of the shote the rear suspension can be wheel aligned. Whether it was Nissan or the GVM upgrade that sent you out and scrubbed a tyre out in 5,500 ks, need a kick in the arse. Lol, more drone Chris. Thanks for the infotainment.
Hey Colin, The issues with the rear end and tyres are totally to do with the alignment! We had a lot of work done in Cairns before the Cape and unfortunately they did a shocking job with the alignment. We were lucky enough to have all four tyres replaced by the company as they realised that they were at fault and were very helpful with the fixes. It’s helped us learn a lot about the car which is a good thing I guess! It seems Chris can’t get enough drone footage in, I’m going to have to do a special drone series I think LOL... thanks for tuning in 🤙🏻🥰
Great video as usual, check out the range of morey's EDM tape n seals at Bunnings, used it for my canopy n tray seals, self adhesive sticks really well
Sian, I can feel the exhaustion on your face, I know that feeling to finally hit the bitumen after weeks on dirt but you have done it. WOW you guys have had one awesome adventure over the last couple months, my heart goes out to your poor car. Yes I know that why you bought it but still my teeth cringe with every new pin stripe 😩. Look forward to next week, pitty it’s not this Sunday😉 Take care👍
Hey Deirdre, sounds like you totally understand how we feel! It was a pleasant change getting back on the bitumen and getting rid of some of the daily tasks of being on a dirt road. It’s so nice to have a clean van all the time as well! I don’t have to sweep 15 times a day to get rid of red feet marks from kids 😂😂 thanks for tuning in again and catch you next Thursday 🤙🏻
😂😂😂😂 that’s funny! YT ads are actually directed at the user and your history and usage so you must have been checking out BCF or fishing gear or something related recently! 🧐 What a coincidence lol
Mossman gorge is absolutely beautiful!! Had the pleasure of being there 2 years ago, can’t wait to see it again, what type of drone do u guys use?? Where are u spending Xmas and New Years?? Love your work guys👍
Hey mate, I tend to leave the smaller ones on there but I take the large bread knife and large cutting knife off. The handle is so heavy that sometimes they can rattle off on heavy corrugations. Usually on bitumen, there’s not been an issue because I do tend to forget them and they’re still there 😜 lol
A lot happens off camera too, including parenting and rules ☺️ we don’t wrap our kids in cotton wool as this doesn’t benefit the kid or the parent lol. They were totally safe during all crossings, but thank you for worrying about them regardless ☺️
Hey Chris when sitting on bed talking about taking time while driving and dust The mouth moving lined up with the audio but it didn't feel natural either is it a new mic you guys are using might just be my OCD haha
Hey guys Justin here from sunny Perth WA, great videos have watched every episode so far from your adventures to build videos, if you over this way drop us a line would love to catch up for a camp :-)
Hey Justin, that’s awesome thanks for following the journey! We’re in NT at the moment and will be heading over to WA in early 2021. We’ll be in the Kimberley for a few months and then head south just before the rush hopefully ☺️ get in touch on socials if you like when you know we’re nearby ☺️
Lucky the Frenchman’s Track was passable for you guys without a snorkel. We did it with our camper trailer 9 years ago th-cam.com/video/x27zs_gH4rw/w-d-xo.html (detailed footage in other videos) and it was deep!
We’ve been very lucky throughout the whole Cape! Every track has been in what we think must be the best condition and made our trip very do-able and enjoyable with less damage than we expected lol... i’m sure when we head back up it’ll be another story again! At least will have the snorkel and front bar by then 😜🤙🏻 thanks for sharing that video and getting in touch, cheers for watching 🙌🏻🥰

We'll look at getting a carafan eventually which will fix the issues going forward. All clean for now though thank goodness 😌
Bit late to wrap the car now :) have a great christmas guys
I know right! Merry Christmas to you and your family too mate 🎄
Just hit with polish and keep it, they slide by and it’s puts a protective layer on the vehicle
GLAD u guys changed the date. Now we have something to watch on weekdays instead of weekend and we often out on weekend. Jack is adorable 😍
That’s great, seems most people love a Thursday video 😁👍🏻
@@BigOzExplorers yes. I love watching on a weekdays too, rather than waiting for weekend and watch all TH-cam channels in one ago or split it.

3:30 in you can see right rear tyre inside edge is cactus. It’s the first thing I noticed when the rear underside footage came up
Yeah it’s crazy hey! We knew it was happening and already had plans for it to be fixed in Cairns but it wore out so fast, that part we didn’t expect!
Gr8 episode.
Thanks Jason ☺️
Had to say I LUV your new graphics! I hope the journey never ends.
Nawww thanks!! Trying to keep it new and fresh and thought that Anaconda getting in the mix was a good opportunity to mix it up a bit 😁
Loved the footage. Some of those beaches...🤩

Gadget
Hey Gadget, the are made by Scosche and called the magic mount. You can get them online or at Autobarn and Officeworks :)
Thanks for that, I'll be grabbing one boxing day. Cheers and keep up the good work. Loving it.
MVO is management vehicle only. Probably shouldn’t be telling viewers to use em as I know the rangers won’t be happy. Loving the series👍

I noticed the dividers in your top kitchen drawer - did you put them in or did they come with the van??
We popped them in so we could make use of the unusual shape of the space. Bought from Howard’s Storage 👍🏻

With that camera underneath is that right hand tyres bold again? Or is this before the puncture
Oh that was before the puncture, I had to move the Frenchmans track otherwise the other episode would have been way too long! ☺️
Good spotting though 😉
what brand of tyres you all using? Iam having trouble finding good ones.
When we were at Cape York, we were running Dick Cepek Trail Country. We have since moved to the Yokohama G016 X-AT Extreme All Terrain which have been excellent!!
We have so much in common, great northern. Nissan patrols haha. How much are you paying for a carton of great northern? Farrking 59bucks in WA.
Price is not too different at the Cape, about $65, we’ve paid anywhere from $55-60 around QLD though!
Archer Point, Wow! Just WOW! love your drone footage. What drone model is it and have you thoughts on your next drone? Well done guys... 😁
Thanks mate! It’s a DJI Mavic Pro 2 and no idea on the next one lol, this one is still doing an awesome job! 😎
Clarke rubber....dust foam....pretty expensive...but we sealed our roof hatches exactly the same as what you guys have...
Interesting... will have to check it out thanks mate 👍🏻

Surely if you have an offroad van all the taping and securing drawers should not be necessary.
In most cases yes I suppose but the roads were brutal in places and we took them all. Most people getting ‘off road’ don’t go places we go lol
What in car / phone maps were you using
Hi Mick, we use a combination of HEMA and offline Google Maps :)

in regards to all the pin striping... when you get back, just respray with raptor coating... she'll be right.
100%! It’s all about seeing the locations not the stripes 🙌🏻 we were sad for a moment though 😂
