NP Bree, my son got accepted to a very good CNM program but he is kind of Hesitant because all his friends who are complete losers are stereotyping him saying guys shouldn't become CNM. A Certified Nurse Midwife I believe that is what it is. What do you think NP Bree, could men actually be CNM's. Thanks NP Bree
@mrmidwife06911 probably has a lot to say about this one. Not being a male in a female dominated field, any insight or opinion I have on this pales in comparison to my male colleagues. First of all, small people aim to keep others small and I pray your son knows his value and what value he can - absolutely - bring to this field. Second, would these fine gentlemen friends of your son say this about a male OB/GYN? Tell your son I said go for it!
@@BreeJuskowiak NP Bree, thank you for encouragement I'm going to show him this. I know my son is a grown man but this Poppa bear still has to watch out for his cubs no matter what age they are. Thank you again!
I need help I'm a cvicu nurse and just got accepted into an fnp program. As of right now I want to work in some sort of outpatient specialty preferably cardiology. If I did fnp could I go back and get another certification in acute care in a reasonable amount of time to work in the hospital?
Yes and you would be highly marketable. It would take you 2-3 semesters. But if you want to do outpatient and inpatient cardiology it’s not necessary to have your FNP you can do that with AGACNP alone.
Your advice on state specific NP scope of practice is very sensible.
Thank you

Stick to the script. You lost me a little- or a lot with all the words.
Sorry about that. It is sort of a confusing topic but I thought I did “stick to the script.” Can I clarify anything?
