Reminds me a lot of car mechanic simulator 2015. I love that game. It is not extremely detailed, and they probably don't have everything right, but it is like an interactive version of this. Very relaxing to take apart an engine, find the fault, replace parts and rebuild.
Thanks a LOT for the animation aspect. It is hard to show all views of an engine working with the close proximity of it's moving parts. Trying to show the internal workings just can't be portrayed without multiple angle and block out considerations, somewhat like has gone on with this instructional video. The graphics are great but somehow not presented it the best order is as best that I can describe it, like the engine block coming and going like it does; I think the engine block encompass should come near the end.
Devlin Kennedy they are not interchangeable. The engine is shaped like an I, it's called an I4, I6, etc. Just like boxer engines are H-whatever. Where do you think the V6 and V8 got their names from?
Would you be willing to create a tutorial on animating the pistons? Do you use Expresso or Keyframes? Cinema 4D only has 3 tutorials right now on pistons and they've all been lacking.
Why is the designation S used for the S4 and S6 enigines, instead of the more common I4 and I6? is the in-line designation incorrect and what does the Same stand for (Single Plane)?
Not bad... I'm building a 6 liter twin turbo V12 with the simulation of all the gases... from the intake manifold to the turbos, inter-coolers and exhausts ;-) Got the animation control system set up today...and built part of the crankshaft, the piston and the connecting rods. If you like this kind of stuff, subscribe to my channel... I will upload progress soon ;-)
what kind software is that ? how much ? can it calculates like HP or TR ? I want try v12 4 cams 48 valves with quad turbo and direct injection per throlle
The V6 and V12 3D files are available as free downloads from our website (techmodel.co.uk). The straight 4 (S4), straight 6 (S6) and V8 3D files are not currently available.
um hello? you missed a bunch more. the hemi v8 16valve engine. the cummins inline 6. duramax 32v(like an ls) v8. the porsche boxer flat 4, 6, and 8 engines. the typical LS or chavy crate engine and lastly a detroit diesel. unless the animation engine wont allow you to do such thing.
You could clearly see why I4's are better for everyday normal people use, those V engines gave me headache just looking at it, not to mention working on it lol
reading the comments and learning a bit about cars in my mid 20s couldn't s6 engine stand for (straight 6) and not slant 6 instead of slant 6...just a thought
S stands for Straight, as in Straight 8, Straight 6 and Straight 4 (or S8, S6 & S4). Straight was the original description of an engine with its cylinders in a straight line - as in Packard Straight Eight. Packard In-Line Eight doesn't sound quite right. Anyway, call it S4, I4, L4 or I/L4 - they are all correct. We prefer S for Straight.
No such thing as a straight six? Where are you from? BMW, Nissan, Ford all make or have made straight six engines. Some of the best and most durable engines are straight sixes.
+Ryan LeCheminant No I'm not, how would a straight 6 be possible the engine bay/hood would be ridiculously long. A "V4", that'd be a pretty inefficient slow and very small car. Tell me what car has a straight 6 today?
+RzVids oh my God some of the best engines in the world are straight sixes, the 2Jz gte, the RB26DETT, as well as multiple BMW engines and the dodge Cummins diesel
amazing amout of hours spent on modeling and animation, well done job

Have you tried the new one?
@@oldsif645 I've not played it in a while, I did buy the 2018 version, the 2021 version is on my radar though!
Suddenly everyone's an expert on car engines -_-
I would like to see a fully animated W configuration engine series - W8, W12, W16.
me too
Get a second screen and turn on this video on both

The feel of this video is so 90's hahaha
I4 and I6 not S4 and S6. You should fix that...
I and S are interchangeable. I just means In-line and S means straight
Its just the proper term. I am a mechanic with OCD, so it bothers me lol
Straight 6 engine is called I6, not S6.
I6 stands for "i"n line 6
Devlin Kennedy they are not interchangeable. The engine is shaped like an I, it's called an I4, I6, etc. Just like boxer engines are H-whatever. Where do you think the V6 and V8 got their names from?
beautiful
Excelente video
lmao the song sounds like it came from a Spyro the dragon game
That is a lot of work. Could you please add a flat (HO) engine???
Would you be willing to create a tutorial on animating the pistons? Do you use Expresso or Keyframes? Cinema 4D only has 3 tutorials right now on pistons and they've all been lacking.
This is cool!!!!
That is so remarkable! I get it. The number indicates the number of spark plugs.
Um duh thats all you got from this
cylinders
Awesome
very nice engine
where is the flat 4 flat 6 ?!
good information
So good
so where is the place they put turbo in ???
These are all carbureted?
Good video
Can the engine have just a single camshaft per cylinder bank in a V configuration with four valves per cylinder?
Ian Bono yes, they just didnt show it here, these are all toyota engines
Nice animation, but no push-rod engines? C'mon, some of the best and most common engines in the world are cam in block/push-rod designs.
Why is the designation S used for the S4 and S6 enigines, instead of the more common I4 and I6? is the in-line designation incorrect and what does the Same stand for (Single Plane)?
the S4 and S6 is an Automomobile model, not an engine type.
0:36 from here on there are gears added besides camshaft and crankshaft, what are they?
Camshaft belt tensioner gears, auxiliary belt tensioner gear, alternator drive gear & water pump drive gear.
Not bad...

i love V6
what kind software is that ?
how much ?
can it calculates like HP or TR ?
I want try v12 4 cams 48 valves with quad turbo and direct injection per throlle
It just animates
One suggestion, u missed V10 engine...
Where's the W16?
Where is the intake manifold on the v6
Well it is straight or inline.
0:34 is ae 86....
Amazing work T (look also to my technical animations made with Cinama 4D)
V6 V8 CROSSPLANE ??
What's the background music?
But w8,v10,w12,v16 and w16 when?
Like Engineer
there is mistake with the S4, the turbo..... this is a bit strange the admission and the cooling air/air...
0:48
What is that thing on the head?
The distributor?
You missed V10
But is you creating the dark background?
V10 = 5 left - 5 right
😒
@@lukmanfirdaus8497 ???
You screwed up the idler pulley on the cam belt
What’s the difference between s6 and v6
Can you please share the 3D files with us ? for educational purposes ?
The V6 and V12 3D files are available as free downloads from our website (techmodel.co.uk). The straight 4 (S4), straight 6 (S6) and V8 3D files are not currently available.
Technical 3d Animation thanks can you share the direct link please?
also if you want a new responsive redesign for your website just let me know!
What is the file format?
There is nothing available as download on your website.... can you fix that?
Youssef KH
a lot of issues with the accuracy of the animation but overall good job
vr5?
what about w12 and v24
Its a shame dis video is underated
please XD ur intro could be better based on what i can see from your engine animations XDXDXD
V10????
Why no V10?
What about V5?
Would a V12 even fit in a car man big engine
the v12 is just way too complicated looking .
Where is the l 5 ?
um hello? you missed a bunch more. the hemi v8 16valve engine. the cummins inline 6. duramax 32v(like an ls) v8. the porsche boxer flat 4, 6, and 8 engines. the typical LS or chavy crate engine and lastly a detroit diesel. unless the animation engine wont allow you to do such thing.
Honestly the most complicated part of an engine are the spark plugs. The rest is really very simple if you've ever taken a rudimentary science class
Why would spark plugs be the most complicated part?
You forgot push rod engines.
J Benner hahaha remember overhead com , no push rod at all.
Where is s4 and se????
V10?
I could barely see the movement of the pistons
You could clearly see why I4's are better for everyday normal people use, those V engines gave me headache just looking at it, not to mention working on it lol
Well v engines are better when it comes to performance
i was under the impression that most V8 engines used a single overhead cam design over 4 cams
the small block chevy family mainly are sohc while most european v8s are dohc
SBC is cam in block with pushrods, sir.
W16 bugatti??
This engines are designed for Diesel ?
Ariel Barria they have spark plugs and distributors... so no, not diesel
reading the comments and learning a bit about cars in my mid 20s couldn't s6 engine stand for (straight 6) and not slant 6 instead of slant 6...just a thought
usually it's not called S6. usually it's called I6 or L6. Why "L" idk
usually it's not called S6. usually it's called I6 or L6. Why "L" idk
Wrong, L for Longitudinal.
where my import buddies at
Non-car guys disliked this...

W16 Engine
the s4 turbo isn't placed correctly.
+George O69 Nothing wrong with the turbo placement.
V12 baby
wtf is an s?
its an inline nvm
Yeah, it stands for straight
watermelons I was wondering the same thing in fact that's why I clicked the video. I've never heard it called a straight 4

Get animation for electric engine in my vlog..
Ha forgot V10

Yup forgot V10. I'm like what

why was this recommended to me lmao
S4 = inline 4 get it right I4 is the correct way to say it
S stands for Straight, as in Straight 8, Straight 6 and Straight 4 (or S8, S6 & S4). A bit dated now.

what the fuck are s4 and s6?? lol
Lol wtf there no such thing as straight 6 it's should a v shape not straight. 4 Cyl too is not made in a v shape they're all straight.
