Great video, I’m looking at purchasing one myself. You actually cut my yard for a couple seasons until this year. I was looking for some reviews and yours was first on the list.
Nice video... I like the u27-4 much better. I've sat in both side by side. The 27 has more leg room. The dig out forse is 1000 lbs more and has a better lifting capacity. With the same footprint. I've got the u-17 with a jack hammer. As well as the kx057-4... The u-17 and the kx008 has the expanding track width.
I have a U25 and it’s been an awesome machine! Mine has a thumb too and I don’t have to hold the thumb pedal down. You better get it checked out. But whenever I need to squeeze a little more I just curl the bucket.
You should not have to keep your foot on the thumb pedal. The relief may need adjusted. I had this machine and it would hold boulders while i was off the machine. Its was very strong for its size. Awesome mini
You definitely need to get that looked at. I've owned three of these U25s and done a lot of log and large stone work and the thumb has always held true.
Have same machine , has around 1400hrs very strong for its size my thumb works great , don’t love foot pedal but it’s not terrible, I bought foot pedals for u27 and works great ! Kinda of pricey though , I have to 12,18and 36” tilt for making it even handier
Use the bucket curl when you think your going to lose a log, never hold the thumb cylinder pressure . Gary has a good point about the relief valve. I have about 250 hours on my 1200 hour u25. Any 6000 # machine has limitations but this machine exceeded my expectations. Hope your not waiting for your 100 hour for your grease if I'm digging all day she gets grease at lunch.

I use a Kx71 a lot and the thumb is on the right joystick

Great job!
Thank you!
I run a Kubota kx-080 and it is worn out and the thumb holds like a death grip.
It supposed to be like that, you can’t have the same oil psi, you can bent the thumb.
You do not have to hold the thumb , something is badly connected
