Ted, thank you for reviewing the Highrises book! Definitely proud of the work, and you're right, all that travel was quite the endeavour, and took nearly 3 years. I especially appreciate that you commented on the graphic design. I designed the book myself, and put the extra effort into the presentation with the maps and graphics as you mentioned. Much appreciated!

Thanks! I'm glad you appreciate my stories and the depth they add to Chris's incredible art and design work. Skyscrapers are American originals, and each city has a unique collection to be proud of. Traveling the country to research them for this project has been a real adventure, and sharing their amazing stories is my favorite thing to do.

What a stunning book! I work in real estate, am a photographer, and I love architecture, particularly art deco architecture. It seems the book is made for me! I would love to get a copy if possible

Hey Ted. Great work as always. I shared this review with my wife, as the Highrises book blew me away. I retired from the elevator industry and had been lucky enough to visit high rise buildings all over the world. These Art Deco buildings are truly iconic. Amazingly enough, my wife was able to find and purchase a copy of the book for my birthday! This book is just great. The layout, the drone photography and the story behind its creation is superb. Thank you for the reccomendation.

Thank you so much for sharing the photobooks and zines. I always eagerly wait for it. They have inspired me to finally take the step to publish the work that I have been procrastinating on for a couple of years. Please keep these wonderful segments going on. Dhanyabaad (Thank you) all the way from Nepal.

Thanks for shouting out the TH-cam channel! Not as cool as a deco skyscraper, but I love my humble 1875 home

The creator known as History for Granite conducted a very similar study of the Great Pyramid. He discovered something very interesting...and the images are stellar.

Thanks for another great video. The Canadian painter Edwin Holgate depicted the female form in landscapes during the 1930’s … Tom Healy might find his work inspirational. 📷🇨🇦😄

what the heck happened to the algorithm? I was day to day following close this channel and suddently no new videos were up for the past 3-4 years. Then a couple of days ago i was wondering what happened to this channel but i couldn't remember the name after that long time till suddently today youtube decided to fill up my home page with videos that were 5 or 6 years old for some bizzare reason and i was fortunate enough to rediscover the art of photography channel. All of my youtube homepage is 90% covered with older videos for no reason whatsoever... i mean what the heck? And why suppresing a channel from my feed that i was always subscribed with notifications turned ON from almost day one? Stupid algorithms...

Keep the notifications turned off, they are useless. Just click on the Subscriptions tab and you will get a list of all the channels you subscribe to. All of the ones with new videos will have a dot on them. Then you can just go through the list and set up a queue to watch all the new stuff and you won’t miss anything.
