I always modify these AI arts with photoshop and after effects to bring more personality and take away some of that "generic" look.
For almost all of my videos, just the visual part takes almost a day of work 😓

I'm also a sound designer/composer for instrumental music and have started trying to make ambience videos, would you say you need a lot of after effects knowledge to achieve a look similar to this or is it pretty easy to throw some particle effects/flames over images? I'm not a graphic designer at all so I don't know what all goes into that haha, would love any recommendations you have! Thanks :)

About the visual aspects of videos and utilizing After Effects, it will depend a bit on how deep you want to delve into this. However, even with limited knowledge, I'd say you can achieve impressive results by utilizing pre-made overlay effects. You can find free effects on Videezy and Pexels.
You'll need more expertise in After Effects when you want to use more specific elements, things that you can't usually find in stock footage and are typically programmed within the software.
I'm confident that as you continue working and striving to bring your envisioned video ideas to life, you'll naturally progress.

the artwork is stunning! That alone made me hit play. The fact that there are dark melodic background elements including the bell is a must. So far The abyss has mastered that aspect perfectly makes it my favorite. Though you do that here, making it a dark, mystical, path. Calling me to follow where it leads. Nahh...well maybe could be from a land centuries ago but it looks made up like a orchestra war background off a video it does look but extremely scary too.. looks more like a castle in my opinion.

Wow as I'm listening to this song I'm imagining stepping into a castle to face malicious evil cold hearted dangerous enemies there to fight them to protect my loved ones ,prevent them from taking our lands and everything that belongs to us.
I work out a lot i do physical work jobs I'm always on my feet working as a custodian janitor moving heavier items using up all my muscles to get it down to work fast avoid toxic people get paid and go home.. therefore I've had restless nights aftee overcoming narcissistic abusive bullying I'm healing I'd tell others it ain't easy fighting off dark patterns but they do make strong when you don't give up...right now even though I'm no longer bullied again still i since trouble coming my way.
my situations made me think but trained me to act like a operative soilder and super hero individual a lot i get burned out a lot but thankfully i find ways to tough it out just like everyone else keep doing music like this it's spontaneous, dark,inspiring and horrific.
Your perseverance is remarkable, and I empathize with your struggles. I'm honored that my music can serve as a source of inspiration for someone as strong-willed as you, my friend.
@DystopianEchoes thanks I appreciate it I'm at war everyday I gotta use my abilities to thrive surivive when I'm protecting my loved ones and being resilient in any case my enemies tried to sabotage me and my progress in the end I succeed on fighting for what's mine and they failed it's not easy being strong but it takes work.

A good effort but VERY repetitive. If you just leave this playing in the background, it sounds like the same few notes played over and over for two hours. You have to mix it up, even with ambient stuff.
Many people like it precisely because it doesn't change; it feels safe and comfortable, without the possibility of a song coming up next that completely changes the atmosphere they were immersed in. I agree that it may not work for everyone. Thanks for commenting :)
