Something I've been curious about is whether or not there's an upper limit to how long you can balance. Could a taser theoretically hold a grind forever or would eventually the balance meter go out of control beyond all input?
@@TonyHawkVideos I don't really mean it affecting how many inputs are registered. My thinking is: because high buttslaps (4x +) are so dependent on precise timing, any delay that might occur between what you're seeing on screen and the inputs you are giving the game could mess with that timing. When you get air to BS you have that 1 second or so window to input as many ollies in as you can, but if there is a tiny delay and the first input is registered a fraction of a second late then the whole chain of ollie inputs you gave the game would be pushed slightly forward and exceed the time limit for BS. All of the inputs would still technically be registered by the game, it's just that the last input may be registered the tiniest bit too late. That's the idea at least. I'm no expert of this stuff and have no idea whether or not it's true. This idea would also apply to monitor latency as well.
It's been funny when I've seen you in like, Koil or Asmon's chat! I'm not sure about this one though.. my balance has always been crap, and I don't really have any input lag... but I have short fingers. I've sometimes wondered if that has been a hindrance - especially when BPing. What do the people billing all the levels say about this? Now that would be an interesting video.
Its called shuffling. If you are on a ledge with two grindable edges or between to rails that are close together: spam the ollie and grind button (first ollie, then grind and very fast) and move your skater into the direction of the rail or edge you want to jump on. Example: you are grinding a ledge with two edges (currently on right edge); press ollie, move to the left, press grind, press ollie, move to the right, press grind and repeat. You will get fast with time and practice. It's easier on keyboard.
Guy sounds like John Carmack - developer of Quake
been playing the series since thps2 and i just have to say im shocked that ive been oblivious to this mod. time to get back on the sticks
Also, rail stalls during acid drops will kill balance even further. Provides another risk factor
grinds during acid drops, even if it's not stalled, still kills it more though, right?
9:53 that was an odd one
quality video, I still enjoyed it regardless of already knowing the info. Will be a great instructional for new players! :)
Hey ptc, could you do a tutorial on spinning tricks? General overview, tips and tricks?

thanks for the advice hank
How do you do a sharp turn out of a grind? I notice like a 90 degree turn while on a rail to another direction and no idea how to do that
Ant venoms a goat these videos are so useful
any tips for the "hold a grind for 25 seconds" stat point in THUG1?
Great and useful vid!! I just started playing and your videos are helping me so much(: You should post more!!!!
Hello i am new to this game
Can you show how to set up controller ?
How to spine transvere ?
Is this AntVenom?
Hey man love the vids would be awesome to have a tutorial on keeping speed
always hold ollie
The refresh rate thing is interesting. I've always wondered if refresh rates affected the ability to do higher buttslaps as well.
I dont think so, since none of this applies to how many inputs will get registered. If inputs were dropping, you’d see way bigger effects.

So I've been playing for months now and i still could not get into X-30 combo .. should i stop playing ?
Great vid as always sir
how do you keep your manuals so fast?
You're only talking about refresh rate, but the latency of the display is also important.
Baegus the test I did accounts for that too. And most, if not all 144hz+ monitors will have excellent latency.
Hi, can you do a tutorial on rapidly hopping between rails? I've seen some players do it excessively on ELA and idk how they do it.

How come you rarely use special manuals?
Press "F" to pay respect
you sound like antvenom :DD
It is antvenom. It's his other account
I just wanna learn how to improv but it’s soooooooo hard
It gets easier the more time and practice you do with it
