    Outstanding, i can only imagine what it would of been like in WW2 when the Luftwaffe started taking delivery and training pilots that only knew piston aircraft. Jaw dropping, just like Adolf Garland's said it "as if an angel is pushing you"

    German aircraft along with british aircraft are the most beautifull aircraft of ww2

      For me the most beautiful are...
      German: BF-109 and Me-262
      British: Typhoon/Tempest and the Seafire with double propeller Mk 47 I believe.
      US: Corsair, P-47 and C-47 (DC-3)
      Soviets: Yak-9

    Just imagine being Adolf Galland, flying the 262 for the first time. He had spoken to the test pilots, he knew the aircraft was sound, Germany was still in a position to win World War II....Galland said "It was like being pushed by Angels"

    • @lukescott5938

      Stewart Nicol as BILLY CONNOLLY imagine being Johannes Stienhoff and being burned alive in the cockpit of one.

    • @barrierodliffe4155
      @barrierodliffe4155 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Adolf Galland found out the hard way it was not such a great fighter, he shot down a very few bombers and just 1 P 38 and was himself shot down

    • @lukescott5938
      @lukescott5938 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I dont think you can blame the 262 for that. At the time JV44 was massively outnumbered by the americans, most combat flights consisted of between 5-10 jets vs upto 500 USAF fighters so most never got close to kill a B17 or B24

      Too bad, would be great if it had the original Jumo engines.

    • @nelsondx8054
      @nelsondx8054 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MOOSTERFAIL They had a very limited lifetime, I know those engines were..well, not great but would still be great to see one fly with the Original Jumo 004. But ye, safety above all and I agree they wouldn't be very safe.

    • @SgfGustafsson
      @SgfGustafsson 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      MOOSTERFAIL the engines where of perfectly safe design, it was due to the late stage of the war that caused the Germans to lack the recourses needed to produce the alloys that were intended to be used. This caused the engine to become unsafe and limited on its use.

    • @rudolfabelin383

      @@nelsondx8054 I do understand your wish. But the original engines were approx. 10 hours between TBO.
