Muzan isn't the only demon maker, nor the only way to become a demon in said universe. I don’t think it’s feasible to say you could become a demon like her, and more than likely you’d just be a standard demon (who get taken out by random ass slayers). And Muzan is effectively the only demon maker. Tamayo is the only other person to do it, and she’s only succesfully made someone a demon one time in several centuries of trying.
I mean Becoming a Chimera does not default to what happened to Nina and her mother, Tucker probably made them more dog so no one learned he used his wife and child in the making of a talking Chimera. Later in the series we see plenty more human Chimera's, most working under greed, but yeah you can stay human and be able to transform fully into a more monster/animal like form with memories intact and without dying. I would go with that one.

Try to help out where I could and disappear like a shadow because I know for fact the Slayers, until I can get myself fully under control, will likely just take a kill first, maybe ask a question afterward approach.
I'm a total night owl so becoming a demon would be the best option for me. It would also give me a full immortal life time to train in Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu and my BDA could revolve around my fighting style. Demon is actually the worst option, because as you said Muzan is watching your every move but he also calls random meetings to see who has killed more Demon Slayers. He doesnt give them his "gift" just so they can go and chill. You WILL die very painfully.
I mean I guess the implication is that tucker is the one turning u into a chimera, but later on in the show perfect chimeras are introduced, which make u a normal person who can transform into animal human hybrid and get a power upgrade. If you don't want to feel anything then it would be best to be a Nomu since its your corpse. Very few Nomu show any awareness and those who where chosen to be high ends where already violent criminals so you probably wont be chosen only Kurogiri is actually kinda sentient and has a identity crisis but he was basically the proto Nomu. Now being a instant villain from vigelanties would probably suck balls so if you becom a Nomu early on it might be worse.
Chimera isn't that bad, there are many who kept their humanity and can shape-shift as they want, that's like being a zoan without the downside of not being able to swim. The choice is between Chimera and Chimera ant.

I feel like FMA's chimeras are woefully misrepresented with their choice of image. She was an incident not the standard. You have plenty of chimeras as evidenced by Greed and Kimblee's crew that looked normal while having access to their animal abilities and get a more monstrous transformation that is completely controllable. Considering those guys are the majority and not the exception. I say Chimera is the way to go. There's no downsides only benefits.
The majority of named characters, sure, but that's because they're successful (or partially successful) experiments. The failures die off pretty quickly, so we just don't see them. I'm pretty sure someone from Greed's crew talks about these failures and how they were just the ones who survived.
Demon easy, they get a chance to remember everything, get massive buffs, get immortality, supernatural powers, and I get to treat people like lunchables...or sleep for a year at a time

Without Muzan watching over your every step because you're in the real world, there's no drawbacks -- eating people might get on the nerves, but if you're a demon, you kind of have to. I don't see much difference with eating steak -- cows are social and intelligent animals with their own dreams, too. At least when eating people, you can choose shitsticks which you won't feel bad about killing, not innocent animals (I'm not vegan, I'm just conscious about this. Still eat plenty of meat because I like it).
When your head gets cut off then it’s game over. With Modern Weapons, Knowledge, and Warfare. You’ll surely get caught, tested on, and then be suddenly kept in a room or be killed. Even very strong poison is enough to paralyze you (as it did with Gyutaro). You will not be teleported to the Demon Slayer verse as it will only say Which Anime creature will you turn into. Try thinking outside of the Box my guy. And don’t expect to have an power of an Uppermoon.
Not forever. Demon slayer operates on the Buddhist idea of hell and in that version after suffering for your sins for some period of time you aren’t in hell anymore.
It’s not that they lose their memories, but rather some demons live for so long they just forget, muzan can still alter a demons memories in order to make them useful to him
Demon for sure. Muzan doesn't care that much about what you do unless you're higher rank. You can't really get hurt unless it's the sun, will probably look good and you'll live forever. And if you're lucky you might even get a blood art that's fun to use even outside of fights like Doma's or Rui's The biggest downside is that you're kinda forced to be evil, even Nezuko started to lose it when she transformed.
Id pick Nomu since Dabi and Shigaraki technically went through Nomufication. Youd have some insane power and regeneration if you survived the process. Free will to a certain degree. Chimera Ant isnt bad too
Dabi specifically did not undergo nomufication and in fact burned down the facility he was in and probably killed everyone when they tried to nomu him.
If you’re mentally strong enough you could immediately remember your memories as a Chimera Ant. Gyro in the manga the leader of the nation the Ants took over, is said to have been reborn and immediately left the colony. Kite is a similar situation as he seemed to remember who he was very early on as a Chimera Ant.
Ok, so my top 3 would be 1) FMA Chimera (as long as it isnt Sho Tucker doing the procedure and its a professional, Im all for it. The successful experiments usually live normally and healthily, or well, as normally and healthily as chimeras go) 2) Chimera Ant (again, doesnt look too bad tbh) 3) Demon (Sure I have to work for Muzan but as long as I stay out of UM drama and keep a low enough profile for Demon Slayers not to prioritize killing me, I could just spend my days chilling and looking for the blue spider lily. Also, as long as I get to forget the ultra embarassing and cringe memories, its fine)
The only reason you’d become a Nomu is to do die. And on top of that the chances of us having a super useless quirk is so high, the chance of you being sought after is low too. So like you will be end up at most probably a quirk sample in ujikos lab, post death. So it’s like, I can still live my life and not care what happens after I die.
I'd just turned into a demon, break out of Michael Jackson's control the same way tamayo did, then I would move to America where no other demons even exist, then I could just chill in America with my demon powers, no demon Slayers, no Michael Jackson watching my every move and I would also be able to get my memories back and I could just sleep like Nezuko so I wouldn't have to eat humans.
There were four chimeras that were completely fine in FMA. (Honestly, they were probably just keeping Shou Tucker around to see if he could find out other ways to make people stronger...)
I'd take demon. Just hole up in a cave away from people most of the time with some books, because I'm a shut in. Take up some hobbies. Fight some demon slayers. No grocery bills. Sounds good to me. I mean, aside from any tasks Muzan gives you directly, you can basically do whatever you want as long as it doesn't inconvenience him.

A lot of Chimera's from FMA are living normal lives, but to become a Chimera Ant, you basically gotta die, you will lose your memory and would probably get killed by a Hunter before you get said memories back.
Being a chimera ant is huge advantage when it comes to abilities and potential. The only downsides are your body could be different compared to what you have before, and you will be alienated by society (probably forever).
I wouldn’t honestly mind becoming a demon because besides not being able to go in sun and watching out for slayers, your pretty good and can get strong enough to deal with most of the slayers, well unless it’s a hashira cause if you ain’t as strong as at least an upper moon your just easy prey for them
Even the weaker Chimera Ants are kinda strong. That one girl who could lift Nen curses wasn't really a combat type, but she could still lift hundreds of pounds of rubble easily to free that one politician.
The later season chimeras in fmab were actually pretty cool, they had human forms and could change at will, and their animal forms were dope with awesome powers. If it was tuckers chimera, that’s an absolute no tho
It depends on what kind of chimera. If it’s the Shao Tucker kind then no. But there are chimeras in fma that are basically just normal people so if it’s one of them then it’s fine
If you became a demon shortly before muzan’s defeat then you’d literally have nothing to worry about. As long as you aren’t stupid and attract the demon slayer corps attention you’ll literally live forever and outlive the organization
Actually idle transfiguration might be the best, you just gotta make sure Mahito is your best friend beforehand. He can do literally anything for you, unlocked jujutsu for Junpei, but things like ideal physique, superhuman performance, inteligence, gender bend if you into that anything goes. Just make sure he is your friend, which he isn't...
Most Chimeras in FMAB are actually goated, you get all the benefits of being a human and having a hybrid animal form. Tucker was trying to keep his funding which is why he rashly fused his wife and then later his daughter. He really shouldn't be used as the example for the making of Chimeras.
I’d be a demon, simply because the pros outweigh the cons, you heal constantly, don’t need normal human necessities, can live basically forever, change your form however you want, and have insane strength and speed compared to normal humans. Also demons don’t lose all their memories they lose most of it but the important things that defy their personality is still there. The chances of fighting a Hashira are low enough as it is and most slayers would probably die if you fought them as a demon, you also can’t ever go back into the sunlight, need to consume human flesh unless you do what tamayo did and get a surgery to make it so you only need a few drops of blood, and the muzan’s curse. Chimera and would be overpowered I admit, but uh yeah the pain you go through depending on how you transform legit being devoured and reborn from the queen and I’d be pissed if I ended up as some goofy ass animal
Some of the higher-quality MHA chimera, like the transforming soldiers, seem to have quite a few upsides and no downsides. They complained about being “monsters,” but it doesn’t seem like they are forced to transform or anything. Of course, the government DID liquidate almost all of the Chimera soldiers…

I'm a total night owl so becoming a demon would be the best option for me. It would also give me a full immortal life time to train in Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu and my BDA could revolve around my fighting style. Hell, I'd be completely okay losing my memories of my human life because my human life is genuine ass. Demon time all the way.
Demon is actually the worst option, because as you said Muzan is watching your every move but he also calls random meetings to see who has killed more Demon Slayers. He doesnt give them his "gift" just so they can go and chill. You WILL die very painfully.
I mean I guess the implication is that tucker is the one turning u into a chimera, but later on in the show perfect chimeras are introduced, which make u a normal person who can transform into animal human hybrid and get a power upgrade. If perfect chimera an option I’m low key taking it over being a regular person😅.
If you don't want to feel anything then it would be best to be a Nomu since its your corpse. Very few Nomu show any awareness and those who where chosen to be high ends where already violent criminals so you probably wont be chosen only Kurogiri is actually kinda sentient and has a identity crisis but he was basically the proto Nomu. Now being a instant villain from vigelanties would probably suck balls so if you becom a Nomu early on it might be worse.
Chimera isn't that bad, there are many who kept their humanity and can shape-shift as they want, that's like being a zoan without the downside of not being able to swim.

I feel like FMA's chimeras are woefully misrepresented with their choice of image. She was an incident not the standard.
You have plenty of chimeras as evidenced by Greed and Kimblee's crew that looked normal while having access to their animal abilities and get a more monstrous transformation that is completely controllable.
Considering those guys are the majority and not the exception. I say Chimera is the way to go. There's no downsides only benefits.
The majority of named characters, sure, but that's because they're successful (or partially successful) experiments. The failures die off pretty quickly, so we just don't see them. I'm pretty sure someone from Greed's crew talks about these failures and how they were just the ones who survived.

Without Muzan watching over your every step because you're in the real world, there's no drawbacks -- eating people might get on the nerves, but if you're a demon, you kind of have to. I don't see much difference with eating steak -- cows are social and intelligent animals with their own dreams, too. At least when eating people, you can choose shitsticks which you won't feel bad about killing, not innocent animals (I'm not vegan, I'm just conscious about this. Still eat plenty of meat because I like it).

Not forever. Demon slayer operates on the Buddhist idea of hell and in that version after suffering for your sins for some period of time you aren’t in hell anymore.
It’s not that they lose their memories, but rather some demons live for so long they just forget, muzan can still alter a demons memories in order to make them useful to him

You can't really get hurt unless it's the sun, will probably look good and you'll live forever.
And if you're lucky you might even get a blood art that's fun to use even outside of fights like Doma's or Rui's

Id pick Nomu since Dabi and Shigaraki technically went through Nomufication. Youd have some insane power and regeneration if you survived the process. Free will to a certain degree.
Chimera Ant isnt bad too
Dabi specifically did not undergo nomufication and in fact burned down the facility he was in and probably killed everyone when they tried to nomu him.
If you’re mentally strong enough you could immediately remember your memories as a Chimera Ant. Gyro in the manga the leader of the nation the Ants took over, is said to have been reborn and immediately left the colony. Kite is a similar situation as he seemed to remember who he was very early on as a Chimera Ant.
Ok, so my top 3 would be
1) FMA Chimera (as long as it isnt Sho Tucker doing the procedure and its a professional, Im all for it. The successful experiments usually live normally and healthily, or well, as normally and healthily as chimeras go)
2) Chimera Ant (again, doesnt look too bad tbh)
3) Demon (Sure I have to work for Muzan but as long as I stay out of UM drama and keep a low enough profile for Demon Slayers not to prioritize killing me, I could just spend my days chilling and looking for the blue spider lily. Also, as long as I get to forget the ultra embarassing and cringe memories, its fine)

The only reason you’d become a Nomu is to do die. And on top of that the chances of us having a super useless quirk is so high, the chance of you being sought after is low too. So like you will be end up at most probably a quirk sample in ujikos lab, post death. So it’s like, I can still live my life and not care what happens after I die.
I'd just turned into a demon, break out of Michael Jackson's control the same way tamayo did, then I would move to America where no other demons even exist, then I could just chill in America with my demon powers, no demon Slayers, no Michael Jackson watching my every move and I would also be able to get my memories back and I could just sleep like Nezuko so I wouldn't have to eat humans.

Being a chimera ant is huge advantage when it comes to abilities and potential. The only downsides are your body could be different compared to what you have before, and you will be alienated by society (probably forever).

Actually idle transfiguration might be the best, you just gotta make sure Mahito is your best friend beforehand. He can do literally anything for you, unlocked jujutsu for Junpei, but things like ideal physique, superhuman performance, inteligence, gender bend if you into that anything goes. Just make sure he is your friend, which he isn't...

Most Chimeras in FMAB are actually goated, you get all the benefits of being a human and having a hybrid animal form. Tucker was trying to keep his funding which is why he rashly fused his wife and then later his daughter. He really shouldn't be used as the example for the making of Chimeras.
I’d be a demon, simply because the pros outweigh the cons, you heal constantly, don’t need normal human necessities, can live basically forever, change your form however you want, and have insane strength and speed compared to normal humans. Also demons don’t lose all their memories they lose most of it but the important things that defy their personality is still there. The chances of fighting a Hashira are low enough as it is and most slayers would probably die if you fought them as a demon, you also can’t ever go back into the sunlight, need to consume human flesh unless you do what tamayo did and get a surgery to make it so you only need a few drops of blood, and the muzan’s curse.
Chimera and would be overpowered I admit, but uh yeah the pain you go through depending on how you transform legit being devoured and reborn from the queen and I’d be pissed if I ended up as some goofy ass animal
Some of the higher-quality MHA chimera, like the transforming soldiers, seem to have quite a few upsides and no downsides. They complained about being “monsters,” but it doesn’t seem like they are forced to transform or anything. Of course, the government DID liquidate almost all of the Chimera soldiers…
