Are the MMP Turbos for Bmw 335i N54 Twin turbo more Reliable than the China 19T 6+6?

I got the 19t's (11 balde) and even tho the were upgraded as I've seen after opening up to change stuff I still decided to use the turbolabsofamerica parts (just the silver spacers. The copper center was already upgraded nicely) he recommends in his video about the 19's. Deburd the sharp edges as well. Also have new oem wastegate actuators for them. Install this weekend and I'll see how they work
...btw the silver spacers were wider than the ones in the previous version as seen in the turbolabs video. They just didn't have beveled edges like the turbolabs ones that his kit come with. The copper center had 2 holes and the center slit so I left those. Again, as seen in the turbolabs video the old versions only had one hole and no slit.

I had those Chinese turbos for almost 3 years and 25,000 kms. On 22psi. They're just starting to smoke a little on decel now.
This brings back bad memories of Mmp. I had the same thing happen to me twice by them. They still have one of my turbos and refuse to respond

My MMP's did this a week and a half back
Back turbo as well, I have sent several emails requesting help to purchase a new core, Mauricio did respond asking front or rear and he did send a link for the replacement core but they don't ship to my country.
He did ship the turbos, he just does not respond when you need him to, very poor service after spending so much money with him.
I wonder how many other guys have the same problem

Well you have to remember hes literally running everything himself with no employees, his shipping is slow which is normal when you're running everything by yourself. Aside from him replying back slow nothing i can say bad about him. Im currently saving up for the mmp1k's.

I ended up buying a new single turbo becuase Mauricio does not reply or does what he said he would.
I spent $5000 with him a couple of years ago and now he does not ship to South Africa, not good business ethics.
The turbos did not even last that long either and no it was not because of poor tune or supporting mods.
MMP should close it's doors and stop taking money from people.

For your safety I’d get some esco jack stands or at least some jack stands with pins to keep you safe mane.

Did they blow because he didn’t have a custom tune? I know many companies don’t warranty turbos if you don’t have a custom tune because OTS tunes cause throttle closure on bigger turbos resulting in the nut on the turbo to back itself out. I would definitely recommend your friend getting a custom tune on those 19ts to maximize their life!
He didn’t and only lasted him 2k miles I already told him so hopefully he can get that asap to avoid damaging the turbos

Don't run OTS tune with upgraded turbos. Get custom tune and they'll last, also get larger exhaust so you don't destroy them and they'll last supposedly
I always say this but people blame the turbos instead of the tune
@@xre3dd don’t get me wrong a lot of these turbos are so similar to the 17 and 19t Chinese turbos it’s a matter of the internals and quality control that makes the big difference for me it’s DAW and RB > anyone else but these Chinese turbos are lasting with proper install, tune, exhaust and internals if you’re lucky haha

@@xre3dd considering most are copy cats I agree (pure, CTS, franken, MMP, Vargas) most of if not all of these are getting them built out of China and the company is what makes the difference. Hence why DAW and RB are regarded so highly

What aluminum outlet is on this car? I have MMP1Ks but was always told the vrsf outlets won't fit. I've been running silicone mmp outlet for 2 years but I want to change to aluminum. I bought a set of VTT aluminum outlets but I haven't installed them yet. The VTT outlets look so small I am hesitant.
I used vrsf with high temp vibrant couplers and heat wrap

@@SupraSkylineHKS MMP has been out of business for a few years now. The website is still up but they are defunct and don’t answer emails or ship products. Even when they were open, they only sold silicone outlets, but they had aluminum inlets.
@@JimHardee i just bought a brand new pair of mmp custom turbos and got them within 4 days after Mauricio finished assembling them. And i was sent progress updates. I even got free shipping to california. I’ve emailed and talk to the owner of MMP on the phone. Hes the nicest guy i’ve dealt with, his customer service has been amazing. Nothing bad i can say about MMP i got my turbos built and shipped quick. Like i said he called me to check and leak test the turbos before installing them.

Mhd v7 for daily and mhd v5 to race but if you want full potential of hp a custom tune with port injection 💯

Meanwhile i'm here running 1K's for 2 years/20k miles on countless pulls and hours of autobahn 200km/h+ driving.
27psi under 50% WGDC. Things rock when properly used yo.
I ran many turbos and still currently trying different ones but mmp are the worse they don’t respect warranty and that is my main issue regardless if the owner didn’t properly tune them or not if the turbos blow reply and say we are not giving you turbos why spend 3.5k and advertise saying don’t worry you have warranty and when they blow you don’t get anything. I tune china turbos with better internals and 20T wheel for over a year no issues on 32 psi on port injection drive it over 170mph no issues, i tune my car and turbos properly so is true it comes down to maintenance and tuning for reliability but false advertising is bad business.
NOBODY TRUST MMP!! Thats why I’m filling a lawsuit against them 👌😂 just takes time🤷♂️

Did you win your lawsuit? Lol i just bought new turbos from the owner of MMP directly. Bought my turbos in June and just got them in mid august. He sent me updates and shipped them to me here in california for free. Definitely need a update 😂😂😂

The MMP'S are good quality but that means nothing if the after sales service and support does not exist.

MMP was OK when Eugene was the client support guy, Mauricio has issues if you ask me.
It is totally unprofessional not to respond or support your customers.
