This lady is a sweetheart what a wonderful personality I think the wobble in her voice is caused from old age and maybe not practicing not singing for a while where your vocal cords are not as strong as they were when she was younger I love her
The best I heard her in a long time. I don't know if she adds that warble to her voice or what's going on with that. It was better on this song though. Voice lessons could get her back in shape though.
LOOK WHOEVER! ELVIS WAS A WARBLER AND HE WAS YOUNG BACK IN THE DAY. BUT HE WAS SINGING IN HIS QUIVERING VOICE--THAT DUDE COULD QUIVER WITH HIS VOICE----TO TELL THE TRUTH HE WAS TRYING TO SOUND LIKE A BLACK ''SOUL SINGER''SO WE CALLED IT ''BLUE EYED SOUL''THERE'S A LOT OF WHITE FOLK QUIVERING RIGHT NOW. I BET YOU QUIVER AND WARBLE---GO AHEAD I WON'T LAUGH. SEEYA!
Totally agree that she needs to stop the high vibrato or whatever it is and sing in a lower register. If she does that, she almost sounds similar to when her voice was intact. But that shaky soprano thing makes her sound like Mrs. Elvira Miller's flipped out grandmother!
SAME FOR YOU TOO! I JUST TOLD ''JOE JOHN''--YOU COULD HEAR VOICE WITHOUT SEEING HER AND STILL KNOW IT'S HER. SHE HAS A DISTINCTIVE VOICE AND YOU RESPECT HER AND IT(voice)....YOU GOT THAT? GO BACK AND LISTEN HER VOICE SING''DANCING IN THE STREET'' AND MORE. TO GO LISTEN TO HER NOW--YOU GO IN RESPECT AND UNDERSTANDING THAT SHE'S TRYING TO ENTERTAIN YOU REGARDLESS WHAT YOU THINK. BRING OUT YOUR COMMON SENSE IF YOU GOT SOME----SEEYA.
LOOKA HERE DUDE! Her voice is telling you-YES YOU--her voice in her prime was one of the best black female voice you could ever hear. She's in her 70's and if you can tell me that you still have the same singing voice from yesteryear--You a damn lie. Talking about having ''balls'' do you have the Balls to say you're wrong for saying that about her.'''''Give credit where credit is due. SEEyA"
Martha in the past few years has been edging closer and closer back to her original lower register and to doing the songs straight rather than with endless embellishments. For me she is great both ways but I do love what she's been doing recently.
THANK YOU MR.WAYNE BRASLER. YOU UNDERSTAND AND IM GRATEFUL FOR YOU TO SAY THAT----I WOULD LOVE TO GO SEE HER IF SHE EVER CAME HERE--I'D TAKE MY GRANDKIDS TOO. RIGHT ON!
@VINCENT50--YOU ARE CERTAINLY RIGHT---MARTHA AND VANDELLAS WERE THE BACKBONE OF MOTOWN--MOTOWN BERRY GORDY DIDN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT AS HE WAS PROMOTING THE SUPREMES. YOU HAVE TO CREDIT WILLIAM''SMOKEY''ROBINSON FOR WRITING SONGS FOR THEM--''MY GIRL''WAS GIVING TO THE TEMPTATIONS BY SMOKEY ROBINSON. BUT I AIN'T GOING THERE.
Love watching Martha sing....she is an true entertainer.

Cowardly Lion, Wizard of Oz.
Shes been doing that since late 70s. She can’t sing and I think she had a nervous breakdown and it affected her vocals
She is SUCH an Artist, with a capital A. She is singing and looking great.
Beautiful
My God goodness FAVORITE. LADY 💕 and SONG. Yell Yell Yell
Fabulous Martha Reeves.
Fantastic.
She seems having fun

I could listen to Martha sing this one all day
Still ROCK'in.
She still got it so smooth, classy and sexy to it I love this so my favorite part is " he told me that he needs me"
If she could only stop the warbling...her voice in ways is actually even better in ways.

They're must be someone around her with the balls to tell her the truth about that crazy warble in her voice. There must be some way to control that.

Martha sounds pretty good. I always loved her voice back in the day for she was MOTOWN and still is. The ol' girl can still do her thing.
