It's a holiday here today so it's nice to have a quiet moment to listen to this interview again. It made me really miss quilt gatherings as Laura is one person I would love to have a sew-day with. Enjoy.

Have you ever considered to place your interviews as a podcast on Spotify? I often listen to them and I think it would be great to have them as a podcast. Not many good quilting podcasts out there yet!

What a fun interview! Please have her back again in the future; she has such a gift for story telling. It would be awesome if one of the machine manufacturers would donate a long arm for the region to share once a suitable location is identified.

This interview had me smiling the whole time. Beautiful lady with a kind and generous heart coupled with giggles and a bit of mischievous nature. A true Elder ❤️. I am fortunate to have worked with an Aboriginal Child Welfare agency for 38 years in Northern Manitoba with Cree and Dene communities and blessed to have had many Elders in my life 💕. I too could listen to Laura for a couple more hours and thank you Karen for sharing her with us. And just a coincidence, my parents had a place in El Mirage Park in Mesa, Arizona and my mom is an amazing sewer and quilter. I wonder if they were in the same park or met?

Listening to your chat with Laura Horton today was like taking a trip back in time to a wonderful place full of the stories and laughter of the aunties who taught me to sew and quilt star blankets for give aways. It doesn't matter your culture, the love, the work, the creativity and the FUN that go into the quilt are what matter. Thank you Karen and Laura for a wonderful time to smile. Mitákuye Oyás’iŋ

What a great interview. Quilters are the best people to be around. Even the quilt police. If someone says you can't or shouldn't do something, quilters find a terrific example that defies that restriction or limitation.
So many words of wisdom in that interview. Thank you for the introduction to Laura Horn. I could listen to her for hours while quilting or doing nothing. Can't wait to retire next year.

Love the colours she uses in her quilts. I’m from Northern Ontario originally and spent some summers in the Indian community on an island called Moose Factory with a friend who was sent to our town a couple hours south to school. Such welcoming and wonderful people. I really enjoyed this interview. I feel the same way about completing my quilts myself. I love the work a longarm era does but it’s not mine then. Her happiness and zest for life and quilting is contagious. What a wonderful person and her quilts are lovely. Thanks to both of you.
