Cliffe Knechtle has a great conversation with college students at a campus in the southwest US.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

After many years (over 20) of wrestling struggling, dealing with horrific existential dread, doubt, and disbelief. After millions of questions After so many years of struggling with pornography and alcohol. After watching soooo many debates like these and listening and reading many different books and talks from different religions. After so many years of sin sin sin sin sin. After so many years of Asking God if he is there, I finally, FINALLY FIIINNNNAAALLLLYYY in the last few days became a Christian. I can't point to one particular moment when I asked like a lot of people but I just suddenly in my heart know this is right. I don't know what to do with myself right now honestly, but I just now know that I want to follow Jesus. I want to change, I want to be like him because he is the freaking man. Like this guy lived life with purpose and direction and joy. I just feel the need to tell everyone on every channel that I can that I am at long last something I was never sure I would be. I AM A FOLLOWER OF JESUS, and I am NEVER turning back, so long as I have strength. I don't know what to do next but I want this. more than anything else, I want this. It is like a giant weight was lifted off my shoulders. This is amazing. wow. Ok the end. Thank you Cliffe. I hope you or whoever runs your youtube see this and know how grateful I am if I ever meet you in person I wanna give you a BIIIIIGGG HUG. THANKYOU!!!

Time and place. If cliffe were to raise his voice to make a point, I'll listen intently. If someone only yells.. meh.. who cares.
A personal parallel if you're interested.
It reminds me of all the people who'd work typically the summer program in school, or rather "Recreation", not school but at it. Some people found yelling at the kids made them listen, so they kept doing it. Two weeks in the kids never ever listened because, eh.. john or jane yell at us all the time. Where i worked well over a decade in before, after, and summer recreation and maybe yelled 3 times. I dont think i ever shouted. When i had to yell those times, hundreds of people went quiet instantly. You probably think of me screaming but no. It was just literally raising my voice, but i never ever did. So those few times, it mattered.
Same with those sort of confrontational people, people get tired of it.

Different things work on different people. For some, the only to way to wake them is a confrontational approach.
Some street preachers God sends to audiences that overwhelmingly require this approach, plus the street by its nature requires a more aggressive approach when 98% of the people are just walking past compared to a college campus where they have some time to stop and listen.
The gifted street preacher who is sent to an audience that is a mix of types will know when to use which approach.

And ask her one of the other comments on here I'm proud of Cliff For What how he's raised his son and how his son is trying to follow in his footsteps with his own twist on things happening how he speaks and Carries himself he should be an individual he should not be another version of his dad. However unless he improves upon it and I'm not referring to his knowledge or French's communication the way you can vs with most people I see it more as condescending and kind of boring is dad uses more charisma less less judgmental almost he doesn't use Eastern religion as much to discuss things as far as his own opinion on things his son seems to be too much interested in yoga and some other stuff which can be dangerous and that is my opinion but I have proof behind it to support it but God blessed cliff.

Presuming that at some point there was a 'first' and a 'second' Homosapien as we know ourselves today and presuming they were respectively male and female, this is a very good question you ask and we could, for the purposes of the question call them "Adam and Eve". Also, another question that has always got me doubting the whole Genisis story and one that begs to be asked even if you believe in the Bible is if there were two first humans, what exactly did they look like in terms of ethnicity as we label it today? For example, were "Adam and Eve" dark-skinned or pale-skinned? Did they have long straight blonde hair or dark woolly, curly type hair or were they some kind of in-between types? Was Adam very dark and Eve very light or vice versa??
The reason I am asking this is not to make some kind of racial/political point. I am asking this as PURELY a practical question because if we conclude that the first man and woman were one particular colour, how then did we end up with so many different skin colours all over the globe? It would make no sense, would it? We can't just ignore this. And if they had only one hair type, how did we end up with different hair types around the world? For example, if "Adam and Eve" were White and blond, like the movies portray them, where then did people of Oriental, African, Aboriginal and Indian origin come from??? If, on the other hand, Adam and Eve were, for example, of Black West African appearance, why don't we all look like that then? Again, we can't just pretend this doesn't matter. It matters when it comes to the credibility of the story we are being given in the Bible. We have to ask these hard questions.
For the record, there is evidence that the first humans came from Africa but whilst that makes sense as an original starting place, they obviously didn't and couldn't all stay there due to sheer numbers. Africa might be a massive continent but even it isn't large enough to contain all the human beings on Earth 😁 lol. So, it makes sense to presume that as our human ancestors in Africa began to populate the various regions to bursting point, some humans must have migrated in one direction, others in another, spreading all over the world to different parts and continuing to evolve, develop, change into the variety we see in ourselves today.
My conclusion has always been that the very fact that we have so many different variations of skin tone, hair type, facial features etc, not to mention languages and cultures, suggests that human beings evolved in different parts of the world, eg, in a very cold, wet part of the world, having dark skin and woolly hair wouldn't have been the most desirable thing to have under the circumstance but in a hot, dry part of the world, it would be a massive advantage, so it makes sense that if they found themselves in a cold place in the world, having children who were much paler skinned and looser haired would have been a good idea for survival and the different environment would also eventually lead to different cultural values from the ones they had in another environment, give it a few million years and they would be unrecognisable from their original African ancestors. It all figures.
Same goes vice versa but I can't really see where the Genesis Adam and Eve story fits into that at all. In order to even attempt to fit that in, we would have to all at least agree that Adam and Eve must go back much further in time than the Bible suggests, we're talking millions of years ago, which means, if the Bible was even remotely an accurate account of the human history, it must be at best, very incomplete., millions of years unaccounted for in the Bible. The Bible talks about 'Ethiopia" and "the dark skin of the Ethiopian", including Jeremiah 13:23, where it talks about the colour of the Ethiopians skin and how it can't change anymore than an evil person can change their ways, and it kind of hints at this adaption to environment because the very name 'Ethiopia' translated means "the land of burnt faces", which is kind of true but it lacks any real detail when it comes to explaining how we all ended up looking like all these different ways that we do and this is where I think modern Science offers a much better explanation than the Bible offers us for these things.

      @JohnCashin 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@saintpaulofyoutube4416 Thanks, I'm always hanging around here, even if I might not always say anything, a bit like yourself I guess🤣 lol.
Well, to be serious for a moment, I think you are certainly wise not to build your theistic position on the historic Adam and Eve model, despite not ruling it out either. Kudos to you for that but the evolutionary model and Science, in general, DOES actually address the question of human ethnicity and how it came about much more in-depth than the Genesis account in the Bible does.
In fact, the Genesis account of human origin doesn't even address the question at all. The Genesis account doesn't describe Adam and Even in any way which would even give us a clue as to their ethnicity. All we are told is they were 'male and female' but it's difficult to get away from the question of what they ethnically resembled because whatever Adam and Eve were in that way, it makes no sense how we ended up with so many different skin tones, hair types and facial features all over the world from them unless Adam and Eve were different from each other, eg, Eve might have had very dark skin and Adam was very pale, Eve could have had a fro (slight tongue in cheek here but I'm sure you get what I mean) and Adam might have had long blond or ginger/red hair etc.
Then it would make much more sense genetically that their children all looked different, some looking like Eve and others looking like Adam and as they began to multiply, the ones that looked one way felt more comfortable in certain parts of the world and the ones that looked another way prefered other parts of the world etc. I'm only guessing here and offering it as one possible theological explanation that doesn't invalidate the Genesis origin story. I don't know what the answer is for sure in all humble honesty, or if there was ever even an Adam and Eve at all but it certainly is a question that needs answering in order to give the story any feasible credibility and the more the question is avoided, the more suspicious I get of the story, as it leaves a big hole.
Some Christians ignore the question of race and what Adam and Eve were all together and they pretend it doesn't matter, which really doesn't do their cause any favours. I know you're not doing that though, you have addressed it but it's just that the evolutionary model doesn't have a lot of the same problems as you claim. The evolutionary model explains why some have more melanin in their skin than others and why we all have different hair types, in other words, it explains why we are Black, White, Indian, Chinese, Aboriginal etc,.
The Adam and Eve story, on the other hand, goes nowhere near towards addressing it and we have to just guess what Adam and Eve looked like in that sense, I mean, would it be fair to say that the Hollywood idea that Adam and Eve were a blond-haired, blue eye White couple is a ridiculous one? If so, then would it make more sense to say that Adam and Eve were a Black man and a Black woman or is that equally absurd?? Perhaps they were both Chinese? Or how about they were both Aboriginal? Or both Indian? Can you see my point here? It just doesn't add up but if you put aside Adam and Eve and instead just consider many millions of years over evolutionary processes, then it all figures why we look different in that way.

Atheists believe that the creation didn't have a creator. Atheists also believe in one of the biggest pieces of intellectual hypocrisy I've heard, that they don't have any belief in miracles but believe nothing created everything which in itself is a miracle.
