  • Escape modern Beijing's glitzy shopping malls and high rises to discover the bonafide flavors of the past persevering in the hutongs' hole-in-the-wall nooks. Join an insider's journey to longtime hidden havens serving Chinese breakfast staples and snacks perfected generations ago when Peking cuisine was birthed. Weave off crowded streets to uncover these lowkey spots lost in the cracks of time, where sweet aromas of Chinese fried dough, the sizzle of spicy lamb liver, and steamer towers filled with succulent dumplings overflow to welcome those yearning for nostalgia’s distinctive tang. With noodles, buns, fried bread and more awaiting your dollar, here history never tasted so good.

Its just lots of walking towards hutong areas. Those areas or locations are not even subtitled in English for international audience so its not helpful to interested travellers.

Thank you for your feedback! I understand your concerns, as Beijing's hutongs are indeed very intricate and can be challenging for those unfamiliar with the area. Despite my efforts to mark the hutongs and show the nearest subway stations in my videos, including directions from the subway exits through the intricate web of hutongs to find the recommended local eats, it seems the message might not have been clear to everyone. I recognize that not including English subtitles for international audiences may limit the usefulness of my recommendations. It's a valuable point, and I'll consider how I can improve this aspect in future content. I appreciate your time and input-feedback like this helps me grow as a creator. Thank you!
