Watching Ryu clutch the first section of that cannonball level with great timing was AMAZING. Then for it to turn into what it was.... just bonkers.

I think it's just kinda their community or something. Many levels from other countries tend to be copies of levels. Japan just got into adding things like midair and speedruns.

What would be your opinion on the best pc controller for kaizo? I have been getting into kaizo hacks recently. I'm not great yet but I'm getting better. What I seem to have the most trouble on is fast rope jumping. I use an xbox one controller via bluetooth on my pc and the dpad just seems to small and out of place where my thumb slides up too high off of it. I tried the stick but that just feels too unnatural.

stage 5 you could have placed the spring to wall in some bombs for 3 one ups. Unless I'm forgetting how SMM1 physics works.

It seemed to me like that canonball level was designed for it to largely line up if you go at full speed and don't hesitate. I could be wrong, though.

on the skeleton part, there was a SP, stands for spinjump, if youve done perfect spin jumps it would have been easier

I’m not sure if anybody else noticed it, but in that first level there was a door right above the goal next to the key door and if you notice two doors led to the room with the Bowser fight and that would’ve left a door and so I think the other door was a shortcut
The last level must have been hellish to get uploaded if there isn't a dev exit.
I think all the doors at the first level are correct 2 of the lead to the fight like we witness and one of thwm leads directly to the goal
Some MM levels are made to torture your ego. The cannon ball level looks like one of thoses.

Imagine if this only gave you 30 tries, like some other games. I really don't get why MM2 didn't have both the endless and the original versions of these.
Right? Or a "Custom" challenge option where set lives, # of levels, skips/no skips etc. Just have a Custom challenge not count for rankings or whatever. Levels all from a random pool anyway.

There are nice, friendly Canadian levels, which take up 99,99% of all Canadian levels. Then there is that left over 0,01 % which are reserved for vile, evil, hot garbage Canadian levels.
