hi supdevan, you are not wrong. i have found that gold buyers particularly gravitate towards bags and expensive gear. i found it hard to sell a lot of items in p1 but the bags and humberts helms always sold fast. with so many random people showing up out of nowhere with 2k+ gold (lol) it becomes a moral dilemma. is it acceptable to profit off of (nearly certain) goldbuying?
People complain so much about gold buying. "BAN GDKPS. OH THAT DIDNT WORK. REMOVE EXPENSIVE BOES". Gdkp was never the problem. Blizzard can't ban bots because its a large source of income. So they ban a player created loot system instead and the smooth brains complain about boes. Just get over it. It doesn't affect you anyway. If you want an expensive boe then farm it or buy it. The only thing bots do is make mats cheaper. The only person impacted is the people that like to gather for profit as their mats are worth very little.

It contributed heavily to the issue, and the only reason banning them has not helped the issue is because there's already such an enormous amount of gold in the economy from phase 1. I don't disagree with your points, other than that I'm not sure how many players were really blaming GDKP for the botting/goldbuying. To me goldbuying is something done because most players don't have time to farm. It's why these goldmaking methods are always necessary since nobody ever has enough gold. And I agree that bots make the mats cheaper, ultimately they are doing something most players don't have time to do or want to do. The funny thing is the answer lies in their own hands which is they should look at tanking all of their gold sink costs. Reducing the scarcity and/or costs of materials, recipes, mounts, etc from vendors in game would help curtail the need for people to raise 100s of gold. Giving those without the time necessary to farm the ability to afford their most important items besides BiS from raid.
I like that you included different ways to farm gold and not just "the best one". This way, people can choose whichever way they prefer to do themselves :)

@@NOHITJEROMEnps. I'm an opportunist when it comes to this game's gold making scene and I like to involve + level professions. What I usually do is to see what things I can craft and sell for more than the material's cost. This sometimes backfires since a lot of materials tend to heavily fluctuate (and if a lot of crafters catches on, then the market gets watered down).
it's so unfortunate imo that there are not "stable" flips to do. everything fluctuates on a day to day basis. in some games like runescape certain items like runes may not change in price for YEARS. makes for very consistent and enjoyable flips. even goldfarms in this game can be overdone / saturated quickly.@@blondiwithstyle
agreed, my theory is that there are only a few summoners spamming and they have many accs so it appears to be universal but really a few people are manipulating prices

you probably already know the ideas, things like uldaman solo..pirate solo farm for gutripper..demonic rune farm..the secret ones are exploring some more of the 50+ stuff to see what we can get for next phase and what is really broken. have you been doing any cool hunter farms yourself?

thanks zeegers, your video on the STV farm inspired me to roll a mage (eventually) with your point about AoE coefficients. everyone always acts like you need an epic staff and full bis to do boosts/aoe farms, so it pushes a lot of people away from mage alts. i think it's the mage boosting mafia :D

No one is paying 4k for anything. No one's even buying things for 100g. I've seen the same few people trying to sell the same items over and over again and they never move.
yeah it's true, nobody has the gold to buy big items. humberts was THE big ticket item of classic it feels like. will have to see if there's enough gold generated in p3 to start seeing some exciting sales of items like freezing band and edgemasters

yeah right now for example thick leather was 15s..but sometimes 6s. everything fluctuates and things don't sell super fast with some exceptions. what is your 2nd prof atm? can still make money creating things too
i tip from me. dont worry about this phase that much for gear. you will spend all that time getting the gear just to level again. save the best items for 60. if you have trouble making money like some players

But im doing all right, made money of quests and a few flips. not playing 8 to 12 hours a day like i could before, but im doing all right. pretty much all my gear is from WSG, Bloodmoon and raids, and im in the top 5 as elemental shaman dps for our raids. but im having a blast, rushed the shaman for raids. now sit back on my alt and enjoy leveling with next to no quest competition :)
Hi eboss, 600g is very very far above average. I'd say the average player has 20g right now if that. What's great is that you are already all set for p3 on gold. Only goal left is to make sure you have enough for p4 bis and epic mount day one. Glad you are enjoying shaman, I have to say ele shaman is probably the least talked about overpowered class. My ele shaman friend complains..but he's always 20 kills up in AB. Would you say ele is overpowered right now? Or pretty much fine@@ebossnz6838

Getting lucky with a world drop was my entire financial plan in classic lol. One edgemasters paid for most of my post-60 adventures. I have to say 40+ mob farming is my favorite activity. I'm not sure how pleasant the pirates are on ele sham (probably not much more pleasant than on priest) but with a friend it's a blast.(a hunter..always a hunter) Farming your own mats is a good call as well, you avoided the bait of spending 400 gold on your helmet that everyone fell for. Now prices will plummet and you can get it for like 70g lol.

I have engineering and bs, when i turn in the green item i got 2/3, the engineering one is minus gold on my server because everyone has engineering, and i canr choose for the box to contain the bs supply only.
yeah that's why i dropped eng though right now grime encrusted seems to be a money loser. alas blizzard nerfed it right before the video came out. at least you can make hot selling items like the iron buckles. have you found any good blacksmithing goldmakers?
@@NOHITJEROME Yes sir I found one decently good gold maker via blacksmithing that actually profits on my server :) And that is the Massive Iron Axe, I bought the pattern in Nesingwary's Expedition in STV, and the item actually sells quite well because it is a waylaid supply!
NOOOOOOOOOO! my secret feather farm! I was gonna save these for Phase 5 when all the mages are gonna want them to sell ZG boosts. I have been saving up these feathers a long time. For raw gold farming kill and skin the basilisks in STV and you can safely vendor everything for a decent profit if you don't wanna do the whole AH thing. so just go out there, kill all the basilisks and then go to a vendor once your bags are full and vendor everything with "sell trash" button and then go again.
feathers are a great investment imo, if you get them sub 1s. what price were you typically buying at? as for basilisks, that's a great farm, i love vendor sales and far prefer that to trying to unload various trash items on the AH. reselling the same green o ver and over infuriates me to no end lol
it's very very good, both the DE scan and crafting items flipping. DE scan with tsm was a hidden gem..probably shouldn't have made it public. the fact you can do it on a level one alt is absurd. have you been doing it this whole time? hope I didn't mess your method up lol
@@NOHITJEROMEit has been very difficult for me to estimate market value of mats using the TSM market value % field. At the moment, because prices are volatile, it has not been reliable for me. The current value would be much more useful. I wonder if it is possible to use current value instead of market value 🤔
hi prediculous, saving gold is the smart play. p3 i do fear will be similar to p2 where there won't be many goldsinks. but the floodgates will open in p4 with epic mount..everyone wanting their true bis gear. i do see your point about not having much to do but.. i think this is a 2 month phase where you want to get your alts caught up. are you not very into leveling / working on alts?

hi dohnjoe don't believe there is any difference, you just have had some bad luck. sometimes you can get 15+ lesser nether from 10 masks, it is luck of the draw. how many have you DEd so far?

there really isn't much, the green iron leggings for example but you need copper bars below 2s. i'd do items like iron buckle which sell like hotcakes. or smelting arbitrage, do you do much of that xzet?

hi andrea, sorry you got lost, best thing to do on your hunter would be to find a pleasant farm to do with early-mid 30 level mobs. For example the spider cave in dustwallow in the northeast, you can farm the BIS food item there the spider sausage (materials). realistically getting your mount is still going to take 5-7 more hours, but I know you can do it
that same thing is happening here rkt. and i NEVER would recommend AHing greens unless they are bis. the deposit fees are so high now and if the item bounces back multiple times you are losing a lot of gold

hi josh I factor it all in the sheet, you have to also factor in faction discounts. 5*7.19 thick leather = 35.95 silver, vendor price for nightscape headband is 44.95, let me know if it works out josh. math was never my strong suit
how exactly does the TSM disenchanting process work? do you just do a disenchant search on the base group? i imported your Enchanting string but the group only includes enchanting mats, not any disenchantable items
unselect everything. do disenchanting scan. have to have TSM data from the desktop app. (free..god knows what they are doing with my data but i am using it :D )let me know if this works
TSM is fully updated for me but it seems the disenchant search prices are not populating correctly. I get false pricing on the outcome of the dissenchant@@NOHITJEROME

hi kidlipp, it was 12s on crusader striek horde, this video probably killed prices. what's lesser magic essence at? worst case you can always convert 3x lesser to greater. there are more flips to do though, like thick leather to nightscape headbands. have you tried any other vendor flips?

supply/demand is definitely a thing, you are right. best way to offset this is to not flood the market, only do a few at a time, double faction on your server, multiple characters with diffferent profs, etc. though you are right, it is a fatal flaw of wow goldmaking. very hard to scale up indefinitely. alas

hi octawussy, dark iron ordinance still sells for 40s each on most days. could hit that if you have 4-5 accounts and make around 25g/hr, solo ulda elites from the backdoor? pirate farming, or some kind of high mob density farm for items like gutripper. frankly you have a lot of options, i'd love to see what you come up with. what have you been doing so far?
@@NOHITJEROME didn’t know the dark iron dropped for the whole party. I’m still leveling them now but quest turn ins for 1.5-2g at 40 will be nice with 5 turn ins at once. I really enjoyed doing 5 man instances for fun back in the day with a a 3 dps tank and healer team then DE blues/greens vendor grays and other mats were just a bonus
dark iron ordinance is similar to the juju farming which you can enjoy at 60. as for other id eas, summons, portals, you could sell summons on 1 char and sell portals on another at the same time lol. love the idea of doing 5 man isntances, uldaman is probably insane gph but hard with multibox. maybe sm too

lmao same thing happened to me. i had to rerecord half this damn video because they stealth buffed the droprate 3x without any warning. i think they realized the avg cost of the helmets being 200g was not very logical when most players have 20g..feels bad to get nerfed for playing the game and getting the recipes unlocked early
in a lot of ways i feel like fast levelers/early raiders were not rewarded this phase like they normally are. a lot of people lost money, it is fascinating. usually they design phases to heavily reward those who get through the quests/levels quickly@@realduox

I'm an opportunist when it comes to this game's gold making scene and I like to involve + level professions. What I usually do is to see what things I can craft and sell for more than the material's cost. This sometimes backfires since a lot of materials tend to heavily fluctuate (and if a lot of crafters catches on, then the market gets watered down).
it's so unfortunate imo that there are not "stable" flips to do. everything fluctuates on a day to day basis. in some games like runescape certain items like runes may not change in price for YEARS. makes for very consistent and enjoyable flips. even goldfarms in this game can be overdone / saturated quickly.@@blondiwithstyle
The fact that summoning cost went from 1g to 3g over a night is frickin ridiculous and stupid as hell
agreed, my theory is that there are only a few summoners spamming and they have many accs so it appears to be universal but really a few people are manipulating prices

thanks zeegers, your video on the STV farm inspired me to roll a mage (eventually) with your point about AoE coefficients. everyone always acts like you need an epic staff and full bis to do boosts/aoe farms, so it pushes a lot of people away from mage alts. i think it's the mage boosting mafia :D

i tip from me. dont worry about this phase that much for gear. you will spend all that time getting the gear just to level again. save the best items for 60. if you have trouble making money like some players
hi eboss, it's a great tip because I definitely think everyone spends/wastes too much gold when it should be saved for 60. mount and comsumes are the only thing you really need and you can get that from bloodmoon. plus so many bis pieces are from quests /raid now.

@@NOHITJEROME 600g around at the moment. i didn't play phase 1 so i had to start fresh 2 days before phase 2. But im doing all right, made money of quests and a few flips. not playing 8 to 12 hours a day like i could before, but im doing all right.
pretty much all my gear is from WSG, Bloodmoon and raids, and im in the top 5 as elemental shaman dps for our raids.
but im having a blast, rushed the shaman for raids. now sit back on my alt and enjoy leveling with next to no quest competition :)

Getting lucky with a world drop was my entire financial plan in classic lol. One edgemasters paid for most of my post-60 adventures. I have to say 40+ mob farming is my favorite activity.
I'm not sure how pleasant the pirates are on ele sham (probably not much more pleasant than on priest) but with a friend it's a blast.(a hunter..always a hunter)
Farming your own mats is a good call as well, you avoided the bait of spending 400 gold on your helmet that everyone fell for. Now prices will plummet and you can get it for like 70g lol.
Unless i missed something, you need to level your disenchant bank alt to level 5 first to learn that profession.

I have engineering and bs, when i turn in the green item i got 2/3, the engineering one is minus gold on my server because everyone has engineering, and i canr choose for the box to contain the bs supply only.

@@NOHITJEROME Yes sir I found one decently good gold maker via blacksmithing that actually profits on my server :) And that is the Massive Iron Axe, I bought the pattern in Nesingwary's Expedition in STV, and the item actually sells quite well because it is a waylaid supply!
NOOOOOOOOOO! my secret feather farm! I was gonna save these for Phase 5 when all the mages are gonna want them to sell ZG boosts. I have been saving up these feathers a long time.
For raw gold farming kill and skin the basilisks in STV and you can safely vendor everything for a decent profit if you don't wanna do the whole AH thing. so just go out there, kill all the basilisks and then go to a vendor once your bags are full and vendor everything with "sell trash" button and then go again.
feathers are a great investment imo, if you get them sub 1s. what price were you typically buying at?
as for basilisks, that's a great farm, i love vendor sales and far prefer that to trying to unload various trash items on the AH. reselling the same green o ver and over infuriates me to no end lol

it's very very good, both the DE scan and crafting items flipping. DE scan with tsm was a hidden gem..probably shouldn't have made it public. the fact you can do it on a level one alt is absurd. have you been doing it this whole time? hope I didn't mess your method up lol
@@NOHITJEROMEit has been very difficult for me to estimate market value of mats using the TSM market value % field. At the moment, because prices are volatile, it has not been reliable for me. The current value would be much more useful.

there really isn't much, the green iron leggings for example but you need copper bars below 2s. i'd do items like iron buckle which sell like hotcakes. or smelting arbitrage, do you do much of that xzet?

hi andrea, sorry you got lost, best thing to do on your hunter would be to find a pleasant farm to do with early-mid 30 level mobs. For example the spider cave in dustwallow in the northeast, you can farm the BIS food item there the spider sausage (materials). realistically getting your mount is still going to take 5-7 more hours, but I know you can do it
On my server it is better to vendor the greens then selling enchanting stuff oh ah. Its so low price on everything since all are farming dungeons
that same thing is happening here rkt. and i NEVER would recommend AHing greens unless they are bis. the deposit fees are so high now and if the item bounces back multiple times you are losing a lot of gold

On your figure of 7.2 silver or less for Thick leather to make nightscape stuff. Are you figuring in price of silken thread from vendor?
hi josh I factor it all in the sheet, you have to also factor in faction discounts. 5*7.19 thick leather = 35.95 silver, vendor price for nightscape headband is 44.95, let me know if it works out josh. math was never my strong suit

how exactly does the TSM disenchanting process work? do you just do a disenchant search on the base group? i imported your Enchanting string but the group only includes enchanting mats, not any disenchantable items
unselect everything. do disenchanting scan. have to have TSM data from the desktop app. (free..god knows what they are doing with my data but i am using it :D )let me know if this works
TSM is fully updated for me but it seems the disenchant search prices are not populating correctly. I get false pricing on the outcome of the dissenchant@@NOHITJEROME

supply/demand is definitely a thing, you are right. best way to offset this is to not flood the market, only do a few at a time, double faction on your server, multiple characters with diffferent profs, etc. though you are right, it is a fatal flaw of wow goldmaking. very hard to scale up indefinitely. alas

hi octawussy, dark iron ordinance still sells for 40s each on most days. could hit that if you have 4-5 accounts and make around 25g/hr, solo ulda elites from the backdoor? pirate farming, or some kind of high mob density farm for items like gutripper. frankly you have a lot of options, i'd love to see what you come up with. what have you been doing so far?
@@NOHITJEROME didn’t know the dark iron dropped for the whole party. I’m still leveling them now but quest turn ins for 1.5-2g at 40 will be nice with 5 turn ins at once. I really enjoyed doing 5 man instances for fun back in the day with a a 3 dps tank and healer team then DE blues/greens vendor grays and other mats were just a bonus
dark iron ordinance is similar to the juju farming which you can enjoy at 60. as for other id eas, summons, portals, you could sell summons on 1 char and sell portals on another at the same time lol. love the idea of doing 5 man isntances, uldaman is probably insane gph but hard with multibox. maybe sm too

lmao same thing happened to me. i had to rerecord half this damn video because they stealth buffed the droprate 3x without any warning. i think they realized the avg cost of the helmets being 200g was not very logical when most players have 20g..feels bad to get nerfed for playing the game and getting the recipes unlocked early

in a lot of ways i feel like fast levelers/early raiders were not rewarded this phase like they normally are. a lot of people lost money, it is fascinating. usually they design phases to heavily reward those who get through the quests/levels quickly@@realduox
