When you are buying Darkmoon Daggermaw from AH or fishing for it, you might need 600 or so extra since the vendor that sells you the treasure map also sells a mount, a pet, and a couple of other things using that fish as currency. The mount costs 500 DD.
Hi little TIP here !! If you don't want to waste your time running from the south of the map to the north entrance to get the 4th item just take the south portal and you'll be outside, then, enter again and ther you are at the north of the map ! can be helpfull if you do it on many characters great vidéo btw ;)

For alliance, I'd say Void Elf is fastest to get to Stormwind, since they start right next to the portal from Telogrus Rift to Stormwind. BUT, it is important to note that there are Darkmoon Faire teleport mages in the major cities that will teleport you right to the Faire portal for just a few copper. In Org, there's one right by the flight master, and since Org is quite a bit more compact than Stormwind (especially with the Embassy location), I imagine Horde alt farming would be faster.
Little FYI for Horde: Vulpera start Right In Orgrimmar and their cutscene is skippable! The quest itself to go to the Darkmoon Faire is right up in the middle of Orgrimmar by the flight master and the zeppelins, only costs 25 Copper to receive a teleport, and they've also made getting tokens affordable for brand new characters - and it also gives an extra 5 tickets. Some of the games can only take an extra minute or two themselves for the dailies! The shooting gallery, whack a mole, and tonk warfare are all doable the very first ticket you give them so long as you basically spam your infinite ammo. It may take just a few more minutes but it does give you a handful more tickets if you just want to save a few to stock up on Darkmoon Tophats (like I am) for when the faire is about to close and I make one or two last minute new alts.
Well actually its quicker and more efficient to skip the dailies since they give such low amounts. Just do the intro quest for the 5 free tickets and buy the map to get 105 per character. The minigames take up too much time for such a little investment. By the time you finish 1 minigame you could have already been on the next character.
A couple of things you missed It doesn't matter if you choose alliance or horde since both cities have a teleport straight to the darkmoon portal You dont even need to open your warband bank because it'll just pull the darkmoon daggermouth from the bank without needing to be in your inventory. The quest is now level 15 required to buy so you have to grind the new characters a bit couple of routing optimizations After you pick up clue 1 grab the Rocketeer (robot ostritch) mount since it has a speed up ability to get to clue 2 faster. If you take the portal on the southside of the island to leave and then come right back you can get to the north part for clue 4 quicker than walking to it Always make a druid so you can swim faster in the water when you have to get the actual stash

Dyes, Simple flour, Moonberry juice, etc. The only item you can buy inside the faire is Shiny Baubles you need for leatherworking. And vendor mounts only sell light parchment needed for inscription.

after I looted 4 clues and the chest, The quest is not completed. Open the quest, all 5 greyed (complete), but no compelete button down there to press. Only Adandon, Untrack and grey Share.

You used to be able to type / QuestID (you'd also need to know the QuestID for this quest) and the game would return TRUE if you had completed the quest or FALSE if you hadn't. Because I've done darkmoon faire stuff plenty of times but I don't remember ever getting the faded treasure map, and I assume the faded treasure map is a one-time purchase per character. So couldn't I just buy it on existing characters because I've never bought it on any of them?

I tried this thing a few days before but when I completed the quest no longer gave the same amount of tickets... can someone confirm if they made this quest to gave the 100 tickets again?
Just a heads up, when you complete the quest, it puts the box in your inventory. You have to open it to get the tickets. But apparently it's been sneaky hotfixed to have a lvl 15 requirement

Also a lot of cosmetics are achievement rewards and cannot be just purchased.

If you fish for the Darkmoon Daggermaw, get your Khaz Algar fishing learned and you can then get from 1-300 just sitting in any single spot.
i wish that was still the case, but they changed Darkmoon Fishing to where it only levels Classic Fishing nowadays.

I mean, you could use the Darkmoon Faire NPC to teleport straight into the Darkmoon Faire portal, so both are equal to reach the map in question

This has now been fixed unfortunatly, you need to be level 15 to buy the map.
