I have not done my first oil change yet on my new Honda Rancher 2022 ATV as we only used it to hunt our farm under 50 miles on it. Your video was very helpful ! Does not look too bad. Hope putting the cover back on won't be too problematic getting it to snap back in place. Thanks for sharing your video on Utube !

I had the exact same thing happen to me with the oil filter.
The dealer gave me the same incorrect filter when I purchased the parts from them. Their listing on the computer must be wrong.
Make sure you specifically ask for the correct one as shown in this video, and save yourself some grief.
I happened to be 50 miles in the bush while hunting with my new quad, and decided to change the oil at 150 km as recommended, when i too discovered this screwup by the dealer.
Needles to say the quad got new oil but not a new filter, but...... I am now an expert at changing the oil as I got to do it twice.

I’m pretty sure that the 420cc with the automatic dct is compatible with that first filter. Plus the spring was in between the cover cap and the filter face on mine. Why? Who knows. Different configuration. My first oil change on this thing, put the right oil, filter with the right orientation (allegedly), and no weird engine sounds, smoke, or leaking as of right now. Letting it sit to see how it goes and checking engine oil color after I run it. Nobody has made an oil change video for the one I have as far as I know…
Edited: No leaks, no running hot, smooth shifting. I’m considering that a success.

Did you have issues filling back up with oil? My reservoir fills up quickly, doesn't go down unless I run the engine, and nothing is showing on the dipstick. 2022 DCT with the oil fill just above the filter on the right side.
