I just wish he did better research before his talks. He gets some of his details wrong as well as telling stories that have no evidence of being true. (The Ted Bundy rosary one comes to mind.)

Thank God almighty for you Deacon Harold for coming to my country 🇵🇬 and giving us the needed water and sunlight to the sowed seed of the Catholic Faith, so that it can truly grow and produce fruits.
    Really blessed to have you.

During Covid I stopped listening to EWTN. Deacon Harold was the only one who seemed to have common catholic sense. And one of the only of EWTN ‘personalities’ whom I still love listening to!
He has a beautiful and humble way of speaking!

Papua New Guinea has the only Martyr in Oceania. The catechist Blessed Peter Torot was put to death during WWII by the Japanese for defending marriage and refusing to stop celebrating Mass. When they Japanese invaded they banned all services in all churches and detained all clergy/religious nuns/monks in camps. His priest told Peter "you have to take over from here, do everything I taught you, keep practicing the faith".

His marriage experience and advice also seem valuable (for a person in or preparing for marriage, I'd imagine). I'm glad you had such nice memories from Papua (I'm from Poland, so it's a far way, but a priest from my region is a bishop in Papua, so there is some connection :D). God bless you and thank you!

27:22 listening to this on my daily commute home after work on the train. Funny that at the very second that Deacon mentions Parramatta, that's exactly where my train was arriving.
The Cathedral of the Diocese of Parramatta is where I was enrolled in the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel by Fr. John Rizzo and where I began being received by the Bishop for Catechumenate.

They were being disrespectful to you. If the school blasted you for what you said and you had checked with your respected people about what you say, and you are an ordained deacon, those adults were being disrespectful to you Deacon Sivers. Those adults need to look into their own hearts and remember who has the authority.

It's easy to understand why they get such a weird view of the world when they live like that, surrounded by people who make things convenient and special for you all the time.

🦦🪵🦦🪵🦦🪵🦦THIS IS THE BIBLICAL WAY TO BE SAVED:
There Is only one God, in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. ONE God.
Humans are ONE person ( in three parts) The body, soul and spirit. Three parts, ONE person.
The Bible says that we are all sinners.
As it is written: There is none righteous , no not one. Romans 3:10
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.Romans 3:23
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags. Isaiah 64:6
For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23 (The word death in this verse means eternal separation from God in hell).
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Isaiah 1:18
Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures. 1Corinthians 15:3-8
In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:14
For by grace ye are saved, through faith; and not of yourselves.
It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
I do not frustrate the grace of God, for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Galatians 2 :21
Realize that you are a hopeless sinner and trust in Jesus shed blood on the cross to pay for your sins.
The moment you trust in Jesus and only Jesus, you are saved.

    • @RLord017

So after Christ and the Apostles were gone *BUT* BEFORE THE BIBLE, how were people saved?

    • @dwong9289
      @dwong9289 ปีที่แล้ว +7

To be saved you need to die in sanctifying grace which is imparted at Baptism, and grows through Holy Communion, and is restored at Confession. If you die in sanctifying grace you will ultimately go to heaven, if you die in mortal sin, you will be damned.
You kill the life of grace with mortal sin.
Mortal sin is a sin of 1) grave matter, 2) done knowingly, and 3) with full consent.
